baby eco shirts, did you get the envelope neck tops? we lurve those, still in 0's and 1's. (bilby has a BIG head). i wish they kept making them in size 2 and 3. Their long pants are good too, but so hard to get teh size 2's. (lack of availability).

i've had a hard time getting to this forum the past few days, nothing but error messages when i try to access belly belly site.

KAZBAH - cleaning cloths made out of corn and bmaboo - noice.
i noticed the packets that hold the Baby Naturecare wipes are made from cornstarch.
Cornhusks are very fibrous, so it makes sense.

Oh, oh, Happy Birthday Vic! How are you going with that blockage? I've got some tips for you if you need any ;) Our group leader is having similar probs ATM, I'm sure she would be happy to chat to you if you want to call her for help. There's a great book in the library on mastitis, when it's returned you could have a loan of it, JIC you face this again (hopefully never!).

QUeenMab - i got my soapnuts from B.E.S. as well and they were darkish and all sticky and stucj together - but i think this is how they are supposed to be.

They have been working fine (lasted 6 washes with the first lot i used). After the first wash they loose that mushy look.

I am procrastinating BIG TIME today... DH finds out about a job at 2pm and i am nervous as it means a big move (1300km)if he gets it posibly b4 bub is due... (which isnt very much time) or very shortly after.

PP - See, I don't know if they ARE supposed to be like that, because it says on the instructions that they go black & mushy when they're all used up?? Plus there are a couple that look fine...?? Emailed her a couple of pics this morning so she could have a look, will see what she says. I certainly hope that's not what they are supposed to be like 'cause they look too gross to touch!!!

Gigi - One envelope neck & 2 x tee style, I should have got size 0, or even 00 - I got size 1 'cause she has some 1 stuff that fits big IYKWIM, but these are HUGE, more like dresses lol.

lol i know QM - i thought about that. and after 6 washes they went a light brown colour! lol
But everything is clean! even poo stains gone so i assume this is what they are supposed to be like.

They are in one big mass in the packet and you have to kinda peel them off as they are all stuck to each other!.

They didnt after 6 washes turn black or fall apart but i changed them anyhow...

I'm up to 76 icons... but no *extreme* ones - I'm working on one of them but it's so darned hard!

Went back to work for 2 days this week :( I missed my little man, but it wasn't too bad.

Nappy related: I'm going to Mother's group today and am giving a bit of a talk and demonstration about MCN & the different types, etc. Some of the mums have dabbled in MCN (pea pods, BBB & BG) but no-one's as 'in to it' as I am so I'm off to try to convert! Wish me luck! I'm taking my itti bitti, a BBB, BG, Maz cover, prefold, Blueberry pocket & Cushie Tushie AIO (if it dries in time!)

I went to Chadstone today (looooong story, involves MIL :wall: ) and Caleb got a compression leak from his BumG. I had to dry his pants off with the hand dryer. Probably put someone off from buying cloth after that as I got a few looks :rolleyes:

Queen - yeh, bilby is 22 months and still in the 0's (getting a bit midriffy) and the 1's. they are a generous sized brand. we've washed ours to death, adn they still feel lovely and soft. I got some much earlier on and sent them back for smaller sizes.

Loving our Ittis, mm mmm! Put a medium on Si, but I think I really do prefer fitteds and covers for him. I think perhaps because the feeds are few, that the wees are huuuge, like, big feed and then big wee. So he needs a nappy with a bit of grunt (and the insurance of a cover). Will try again in a month or so when he's on solids. What's the date? 11th? Oh, 12th now. 18 days til he's 6 months then. Ack! Time, where did you go?

Not sure about a swap, I'll have a look, but I'm not sure I could bear to get rid of any of my nappies. :P And the ones I would get rid of, I'd get rid of cos I don't like them, and I wouldn't give someone else a nappy I didn't like. Might sit this one out.

finally did a whole heap of nappy washing...only 33 days and i will have my boy... by the way i am glad i didn't buy too many SMALL sized nappies.. this boy is already weighing roughly 3.4kgs with another 5 weeks to go :P he is going to be HUGE!!!!

Kat - i wouldn't be too concerned with guesses to how big he is - they predicted at 42 weeks that DD was 10 pound 4 oz - she came out at 8 pound 11.5oz - and with a really skinny waist, no hips and no butt (perhaps all weight is in her brainy head?? hehe) so she is still in small nappies at 6 weeks - she can still fit into FJ's nappy - and thats a newborn one...

I just put her in medium IB's cos I didn't buy enough smalls.. LOL

I don't have anything good to swap that I don't want to keep!!!! Doh, doh, doh!!

Thought of them this morning for some reason & am jonsing for some now... thought I could bring some tomorrow if I made them but they may be too juvenile for the intellectual cloth nappy set?! My OB is going by the sizing U/S i had yesturday.. i have 33 days left and i am HUGE!!! don't think i can possibly get any bigger... i was looking at the FJ nappies i have yesturday thinking OH god is he going to fit them??
I am off to the hospital today AGAIN.. fo r a 4hr Blood pressure monitoring session.. funf un NOT
I just checked my BP here at home and it isn't good again....

Kat - mine was a wellbeing ultrasound so they did sizing... said she had a 40cm waist - not even close.........

i just witnessed my neighbours 2 doors down kicking the living shiat out of their 13yo daughter......can yo believe it...my kids ar ehome and had to witness it aswell. Make sme sick to the gut. I live in a privately owned road and there is ONE housing commision house and we have to put up WITH THAT!!!! I wish they would just bloody move but they seem to get away with blue murder!!! grrrrrrrr

Im sorry if I offend anyone with my comment...im not an anti anyone person but these neighbours jsut keep going and going. 2 years ago on christmas eve they had a huge in street fight with other neighbours. The other horrible thing....they just had a baby girl 2 motnhs ago...and guess what they named her...Yep Violet!!!!

Well you never know Maz, despite her parents she might turn out to be a really lovely kid. That poor 13 yo, hope she's okay. Was it bad enough to call the police or would that not be appropriate?

We just got back from the health centre & DD's put on 595 grams in 14 days. She has this horrible nappy rash which wont go away either, she's had it since she was a few days old. The health nurse thought it might be thrush but the stuff she told us to use didnt work, so I dont know what it is.

Katones... another here just saying don't worry too much. Jovie was measured by u/s 2 days before birth and it was estimated that she would weigh 10lb 11oz, she came out 8lb 13oz... not even close! The way they get their weight measurements on u/s is through the length of the femur bone in the leg. They can't ever get an accurate weight because they can't measure fat/muscle etc via sound waves. I was told to have a c/s due to her weight guess.... I'm so glad I didn't.
