they took most of the measurements from around bubs belly, then also measured head, legs etc...i am not worried any more OB thinks it is just a BIG bub and will most likely be over 4kgs.. and he said to me..'well at least he isn't coming out downstairs' i was like yep so am i :P:

two nappy changes per day! wow, that sounds like a very recalcitrant child care centre Gudism! (finally i get a chance to use that word LOL). I told our CCC that MCN needs to be changed more often than sposies, but after every CCC day, i always find at least one DRY and CLEAN nappy in the wetbag, so i still don't think they know how to recognise a wet nappy from a dry nappy. But hey, i can live with washing one more MCN.
Nelle, yep, bilby is still looking rather cute in her baby legwarmers. We've been using them alot at night over winter, under her sleeping bag, but now it's lovely Spring weather, they'll be getting a good day time wear methinks. Do you have giraffe ones for Silas?

Sigh, i wish i had been putting me and bilby on a plane to Melbourne today, i'm sucha sore loser, having a "poor me" day this week, cos i REALLY REALLY wanted to be there for tomorrow's meetup. I know i should STAY OFF this thread for about a week, so i won't hear how wonderful the meetup was, and feel even more envious - but i doubt i will be able to stay away, i'll be dying to hear how it all went, adn hope there are pics! It'll be salt on a raw wound, but i must like salt!

might also wash the flanny flats again.....before bub arrives.. (32 days.. not that i am counting :P)
belly is killing me... LOTS of tightenings...
i kept looking at the clock all day, thinking "at this time, they will be drivign to the meet. at this time, the meet will be starting. at this time, they will be in the thick of it (german potato salad and chocolate crackles flying everywhere. by this time it will be over and everyone will be driving home".
so it's 7pm, and i couldn't help myself, had to come in, just in case anyone had posted about the meetup.

Aww girls, it would have been great to have you at the meetup! Sammi seemed pretty surprised! And a good time was had by all. Very fun. I'm very tired now. But don't worry Iggle Piggle, it's not the first meetup we've ever had, and it won't be the last, not unless the world ends tomorrow or something! :D So you'll just have to try for another one!

Nelle - Blueberry pockets are my favourite! We've got 5. Got a 4 pack of minkee at Baby Blossom for $135 - bargain if you ask me! The cheetah one feels like fur - so lush!
My MCN talk at Mother's group went ok. Hard to get a word in edgeways there though so I think I was only half listened to. I offered to lend one Mum a few MCN so she can try them out as she's not sure her DS will tolerate feeling wet at all - I said the microfleece liners keep Liam dry so should make that issue non-existent. A few other mums already have a few MCN but aren't brave enough to try the night nappies yet. We'll see if they come on over to our side! ;)
Went 'fluffy shopping' at my local store yesterday - but they didn't have much stock. I like what I've got now so I didn't want to buy any more 'types' iykwim and they had 'Mummys touch', 'parents & pumpkins' and BBB. Well, I don't need any more BBB, don't like the p&p I've got so didn't want to buy any more of them and didn't want to try the MT as they didn't look any better than anything else I already have. So I bought the last BumGenius they had, a wool soaker and Motherease Rikki cover (so I can use my prefolds again). Only spent $84 so now I'm off to do some shopping online tonight ;) DH isn't home so it's a real pity if no-one's here to slow down my shopping, hey? :cryinglaugh:

Oh Gigi - I ordered a SB winged (yes you'll be pleased I picked it) mama pad made form velour...grrrrrrr. Cant wait to get it.

I am sad :( Our MCN have all been packed and we have to use sposies until the 26th :( It had to be done though. So sad seeing them all in the box and then taping up the box :(
Today was the PERFECT day to wash them all though. Washed and dry within a couple of hours!! warm, sunny and windy. I ended up getting 5 loads of washing done!! I hope that tomorrow is similar coz it is raining now and there is 1 last load on the line.

This was Friday's efforts. I went to Vinnies on Thursday & picked up heaps of vintage sheets.... and 2 old tableclothes that are plain colours.... Then Friday I cut out the first dress, ironed it and then sat down to sew it up and *whammo* my machine freaks out... could be its been 3 years since I've taken it out of the cupboard LMAO.... ah well... will try to stay inspired.

I am exactly the same, get into something & then lose interest as soon as I have all the 'fixins' lol, like, I was going to make baby hair clips... made like 12 then got over it... now I'm buying heaps of yarn & knitting needles etc BUT found some fabric while cleaning up today & decided I'll give turning it into something a go... :lol: My attention span is non-existant. Plus, I always see things I want, especially on Etsy, but never buy it 'cause I think "I could make that!!" ...and I probably could, albeit a cruddier version, but do I....?!
I need more ittis. I really really love the sewn in seconds I got, they dry quicker than any other AIO I've got, especially the magicall which seems to take weeks. Am going to start saving now for the expo & itti bargain packs.
Got a tonne of washing done today, too bad I've got many many more tonnes to go!!!

bilby is sleeping for two stretches of about five hours, wakes for a feed in the middle, so we change her then. The acidic teething poos continue, poor bilbs, those molars surely are taking their time to cut ALL the way through.
When it's not summer weather, tiny bilbies keep their legs warm and accessorise with Huggalugs . . . and another brand from ETSY that i keep forgetting the name of. ;) Huggalugs is aust owned, babylegs are US owned - i think that 's the diff Kazbah.
dh took my "supposed to have been fixed/but still not working overlocker" back to teh sewing machine centre. will be very pleased to have it back, WORKING.

You see, the only MCN i have ever attempted were POCKETS, but i cut out a pocket incorrectly, forgot to cut the little rectangles out above the pocket opening, and you can't add extra PUL fabric, it would leak where you joined the extra PUL, so i'm thinking, the only thing i could make this "meant to be a pocket nappy" into, would be a cover. But i have never done a cover before, not sure what/where i'd sew the back elastic, the tummy elastic - do i add some fleece as reinforcement? do i sew the elastic to teh PUL, to the inner layer (suedecloth)? It's lovely PUL nappy cut, i really need to salvage my little "disaster".

Gigi - DH impressed cause he didn't have to get up to change the nappy ;) Pip slept from around 5pm until 8am. I woke him around 5:30pm to change him into the BBB but expected him to wake around 7pm which is what he usually does, then I change him into his night nappy. The night nappies all work - suprisingly, the problems we've had at night have been with sposies ;) when he was on the ABs. Cause I use bamboo ones, which can just be composted, they don't hold up very well o/night for a tummy sleeper.
Ummmm I have no idea with the sewing Gigi :(

Hi all, had a marvelous day today. All my fluffy mail arrived at once AND DH was at work so got to hide all the evidence before he got home!!! Went a bit crazy with the nappy hunt. Got 3 pairs of trainers (haven't used any yet but loving the look of the super undies from darlings) and a new AIO from twinklelilly and some more mama pads as well that are almost too gorgeous to use!!!! oh and I have my first pair of shorties on their way. I have been waiting and waiting to buy a pair and finally bit the bullet and got some, can't wait for them to arrive.
Pleased the melb meet up went well. I would love to cathc up with those brisbane BB's I know we had a few before but I can't find it. We are back (actually got back sunday just been to slack to post) from our weekend away to try & make up for not being able to get to Sammy's babyshower.
First, THANK YOU Sammy for the stitch markers. It was nice to come home to something for me.
Our trip away was ok, but the snow part of it sucked. I did up a review of our trip on my blog if you to have a read.
Isla was in sposies for all of it. Which turned out to be a wise thing as she has had (still has) yukky runny poo & I was changing poo nappies 2 or 3 times a day.
It was nice to put her back in cloth Yesterday but now she has a rash again! It came up after being in one of the Itti's. I hope she hasn't decided her skin can't do suedacloth!
Sammy, I hope you liked the nappies I sent. I have a little dress int he same material that I should have sent also but it wont fit till Buba girl is about 9 months I would say, thats when I made it for Isla.
GiGi, I hope you found something to do with your weekend while the melb girls parted on.
