Kat - perhaps wait until bub is born and try out the ones that you have. Then if there is something that you dont like then you can discuss/search out the other mcn's around that might fix that problem? I am sure you have a heap already lol Did you get some orange BBB?
Well we tried something a little different last night with the nappy situation (not that we have had leak problems in a month or 2). We used a BBB with only 1 extra 3 layer bamboo insert (with the 2 that are already in there). and then had a large 3 layer microfibre with an outer of fleece on the outside (it was big enough to wrap the whole rise) between nappy and longies.
And that worked too!... yay!
I fixed that BG elastic and it has popped again.. imustnt have sewed it properly... now if only i had a good hour to sew all the things i need to before this bub arrives...
Sorted through all my nappies - ready for when #2 arrives,,,, wasnt going to take any sposies / mcn to the hospital... surely they will have flats? perhaps i should ask... might just take some snappis along ...

bought some micro-terry towelling, flannelette (white& blue) elastic, MORE cotton, and i have no idea why.. but just couldn't help myself... BLUE DOT MINKY!!!! (now what am i going to do with it is another question....
I have my eye on an overlocker on ebay.. so just watching watching.....
All the materials are in the wash as we speak... then i shall plan my attack!!!
Oh Kat - what colour is the dot minkee???? and what SL did you got to???? I think they have electric pulses through those security bars when you walk in that make you buy stuff

you can make so much with it...a nice minkee wrap for Jack...some covers too, an outter layer on your nappies
i would love to give making covers a go... but have NO clue where to start... and at the moment have NO over locker....but would love to make a pull on cover if you get my drift...i have a good sewing machine and am quite confident with that.. so we shall see.

Kat - I wonder if you NEED an overlocker if you make a cover with an outer of minky & an inner of fleece? All you would have to do is zigzag 'em together & then turn it right side out...??? Just an idea as that's what I did with my sleeping bag effort.
I agree Maz - I made THREE trips to SL in the last week & now how tonnes of material (clearance shiat lol) that I don't know what to do with... or what made me buy it in the first place!

PP, I have been sitting most afternoon & spitting out a nappy & or a cover for this bub. each a little different to that last as Im still mucking around with patterns & rises etc. But I am going to have this massive collection of possibly useless nappies by the time this kid arrives LOL
Yep entirely smashed over here!! DH is trying to get Jovie back to sleep atm... I told him to leave her in the car & let her sleep there, but he insisted on transferring... he will never learn

FJ - you are a busy girl!! I really want to try to get on my sewing machine this weekend to repair a few nappies. BUt yes that bub of yours is going to have so many nappies!!!.. you will be changing every 30 minutes just to try them out... and theres nothing wrong with that lol!!
