OK Maz, will PM you. Was going to list some stuff on BFB but would much prefer to swap...hope I'm not too late!!
Hi All!
Well (un-nappy related news) a 5km walk seems to do wonders for DS and his sleep. He was in bed and asleep by 7:45pm. He woke at 8:45pm screaming blue murder and we finally figured out he had pins and needles in his right arm. He was settled and back asleep by 9pm, woke VERY briefly (ie sat up, looked around, lay back down and asked to be covered up) at 12:30am and then I didn't hear from him again until 6:00am!! WOO HOO!!
I am at the office and I'm childless!! Our 18 year old niece is living with us and each week she either has Tues or Thurs off from work so she offers to take James on that day so I can get one office day a week without him! It is strange and WAY too quiet - but it is heaven at the same time because I get a days worth of work done in half a day or less!
I am taking a much needed break because I've been pulling jammed shreds of paper out of the paper shredder one at a time and my neck and my fingers on my right hand were killing me.
I am JEALOUS of all of you who have Mandy Macs! I have always looked at them longingly but have never (and STILL don't) have any money to buy them! I almost NEVER see them 2nd hand on B4B - only brand new on ebay! Why is that???
When we do get serious about TT-ing I intend to do bare bottom or undies since the only carpet in the house is in the bedrooms and James stays out of the bedrooms most of the day. I have some training pants from Best & Less and Big W that would hold a little bit before leaking - but decided not to splurge on proper trainers. We shall see - and I'll keep him in night nappies as long as needed.
The super boosted BBH hemp nappy worked last night - no leaks and it was heavy and soaked this morning so I'm pleased. That means I have five night nappies so I'm doing alright. I just have to resort to sposies if we get a long stretch of rain.
I'm so glad to be back in here! I have missed you guys.
Oh and we are still TTC as well and I'm really hoping for a BFP this month! We are stalled out at the moment because DH has stuffed his back up so I'm just hoping something good has happened and I'll have a big announcement in a few weeks time. Otherwise we'll have to wait until December because James and I leave for the states on 6 November and don't return until 2 December!!
Good luck PP - will wait to hear the BIG announcement!!
Okay back to work for me!!! Must make the most of a child free day! James and Kaitlin left the house about 10am and DH and I didn't leave until 12:30pm so I got heaps done at home: washed dishes, tidied up, washed and hung up four loads of laundry, did inventory on all his larger sized clothes I have in storage (probably going to stock up on the next few years of winter clothes while I'm in the states), and did a few other bits and pieces! It really is amazing what we can accomplish in just a short time without any kids around!
OOOOH - I convinced my niece to keep James in cloth today too!! So...
WOHB (or at least WAS when he left the house): Bubba J hemp with PUL cover
All the nappies she took with her are AIO's - she says covers confuse her - so he may have one of those on by now!
OK Maz, will PM you. Was going to list some stuff on BFB but would much prefer to swap...hope I'm not too late!!
Hi girls
I am back home now.
Contractions have been 3-5 minutely since 7am but i am only 1cm... so going to be a longggggg day i feel. The midwives are thinking another 24 hrs.
So look like i may not get my xs covers in time lol...
anyhow i am off to lay down and try to relax as i think i am in for a long night (not like DD's labour!)
WOHB - haute
oooooooooooooooooooh that is so exciting PP!!!!!
Can't wait for the birth announcement!!![]()
how exciting PPGood luck with everything, can't wait to see the birth annoucement!
PP You need a hand at all? I can take Ash if you need sometime along.
Thanks girl.
Christy - i have put her down for her arvo sleep so hopefully will stay there until 4pm (fingers crossed) - then i can getr some rest and watch a movie or something.
Dh just arrived home from work ... as much a i dont want this to carry on in the night .. might be easier to have second stage after 8pm when DD is in bed for the evening lol!
Oh i tell you what though... so much more painful than #1 !
mmm nappies... (so i dont get into trouble).... DH wants me to wear one so i dont ruin the couch if my waters break lmao!
LOL! Just pop on a maternity pad, JIC. And you never know, things might start speeding up very soon. But oh my, I do remember the pain. Ouchie!
nappy related - having only one baby in nappies in kinda depressing. Nina is well and truly toilet trained, only wearing a nappy to bed at night.
So I've started using Nina's bbb on Emily. And Emily sure does have a lot of nappies now! LOL
PP, how on earth do you get that girl to sleep at night if she sleeps till 4 pm!
Sure hope its no more then 24 hours for you!
In that case PP - make sure you head to the hospital if you're in any doubt at all - Si hurt heaps more and he came a heck of a lot quicker (you might remember he came at home). The pain could be cos you're dilating faster than last time! All the best!!!Oh i tell you what though... so much more painful than #1 !![]()
lol she just does Fj... sleeps 1pm-4pm then 730pm-6am. Hey i am not questioning a good thing!
Jodi - i have been thinking the same for when we start to tt ashleyhow sad to only have 1 in nappies.....
Nelle - i doubt i am dilating faster i went from 4cm to birth with ashley in 2 hrs and up to then the pain was much less than now. It has been going for 6 hrs so far and the middy said i was only 1cm... yawn!
lol the joys
PP - Good luck with it all
Maz- Got your PM Thanks
We've been in sposies & ****loads of canesten cream for nearly 2 weeks trying to get rid of this nappy rash & its just about gone YAY!!!!But Im waiting for it to clear completely before putting her back in cloth. Im having cloth withdrawals round here!!
Hope everyone's well
WOHB - sposie with nappy rash cream & lots of it!
PP- at least you have BB to distract you! Very jelous of your daughters sleeping habits! Best of luck for the next 24 hrs or so! how exciting......
PP: Don't knock a good thing with DD and her sleeping! DS is the opposite. He wakes anywhere from 1-5 times at night, doesn't take a nap anymore (quit shortly after his 2nd birthday) and averages 10 hours of (broken) sleep at night. Yet he is a happy, healthy, joyful little boy!
I miss my sleep...
Good luck as the labour progresses - I hope it goes faster for you than you think it is going to.
good luck PP..
Fj- we were trying to be sneaky and make you think someone elseposted your sandman as well
umm i have a question how much would you tpay a small second hand dlish sewn with snap in booster is worth (it was a second, but cant find the fault)? (hope it was ok to post that)
WOMB: medium magicall
Well seems you could buy the seconds for what was it?? $18 ish
If its still in as new condition I would say a opening bid of $12 would be fair but I would probably bid no higher then $15
eta - PP, yep don't question that kind of sleep pattern!
Also, get up& WALK women!!! labour will only slow if you do nothing. Go for an early evening walk around your neighbourhood.
PP just buzz me if you need anything!! Just when I was going to ask if you wanted to go to the RMH tomorrowguess not!
WOHB: erica nap & Wool cover (and is refusing to let me change her nappy)
GO PP GO GIRL
Get up and wave those MCN in front ofyour woo hoo to get some action babe!!!!!
Hmm Ness...yeah $12 sounds good to start with...Mateauz is on the second last snap in his mediums already..thank god Im helping at the IB stand...NEED MORE LARGES!!!!!
