oh you needed that sleep FJ! DH swears that Jovie wakes up only when she has a cloth nappy on... I always roll my eyes at him, but we may do a check on that now. If thats the case... he may have his way. Sleep is way too important over here atm.
Last night she woke up 6 times.... her temp was up and down and they were coughing like the best of them last night. At least Matilda slept through.
Ange, yeah I am after a plain coloured collared top, Can be button up or a polo style. I am thinking white, navy or an aqua blue would would. But just a plain colour not something with a teddy, or train etc on it. In 000 or 0000. If you find something that would be great.
Christy, I have suspected it to be the NN for some time. It was hit miss most of the time but its every night. The lotus I got rid of thinking it was the main problem, which I think it still was very uncomfortable for her so no regrets swapping that. But Over all I think she is just uncomfortable, too uncomfortable to sleep through. She did stir but settled herself. First time I heard her have a drink & the second time she was probably just dreaming as she cried out but nothing more came of it.
I don't mind getting up to her for good reason (like jovie being sick) but if its something as simple as a change of nappy to get her through the night then a pack of Aldi sposies will come to the rescue. If not I will be so buggered.
Between Isla & my bladder I would be getting up 5 times a night! I can get up & pee & go back to sleep no worries but Getting up to Isla means at least 20 minutes of settling her again, then another god knows what of me getting back to sleep.
Maz, how did every one settle down yesterday arvo? Not long till the weekend now.
ahhh better go tidy up before the electrician turns up
eta - I told DH I will be getting a new washing machine with this money too (well it was always intended with the baby bonus anyway) & he ROLLED HIS EYES. Ah HELLO!!! 6 people house hold on TANK WATER using a 4.5kg washing machine!!
I think its just an automatic reaction with him. Once I explained to Evan (who asked why we need a new one, the old works fine) that we need something that will save water etc. DH realised it wasn't just me going ooooo we have money lets buy some pointless item because we can. Like say a computer game thats exactly the same concepts of all the others that we have!

I have a question for those of you who you use babybeehinds......
I have 2 of the bamboo ones and one of the hemp fitteds..... falling in love with them and once she is out of the "small" AIO's i think I will grab some more of the bamboo.
but anyway -
for now, when baby is newborn - I am assuming that the bigger booster isnt going to be needed as it would just be too bulky - but my concern is with the snaps on the smaller booster as these would then be rubbing on her lower back (not comfy!).
Gigi - thanks hun - it was during the day. I found the culprite thought. DH had DD and the BG with 1 insert was on for 4 hrs.... mmmmm i have reeducated! lol
Kitt3n - i havent used my BBB on the nb yet. But you would have the small insert attached to the back snaps and the front snaps would be folded over to the front (so not touching bub anyhow) so that the nappy was small enough for a nb. THen as they got bigger and needed the long booster you would unflip the front of the nappy so it was normal again. HTH
Kitten do you mean the snaps fitted to the booster touching bub or the snap sockets where the booster would snap in if you dont have one there?
You would only need to use one booster and attach it to the back snaps. You won't be able to use the front snaps on the small setting as the front flap will be folded over!
A fleece liner would cover the snap caps on the booster enough that it wouldn't be uncomfortable.
lol - yes Raven you understood perfectly! I meant the back snaps, not the ones at the front for the big booster. (as i know i will have to fold this over to the front for the little one)
hmn - i really liked the idea of the natural fibres on baby's skin and not the fleece - maybe I could stitch in just a little fleece to cover the snaps, like a pillow on top of it?
I have a scan on Saturday at 12. find out how many babies I need to buy nappies for. I am already showing so I suspect more than 1 has snuggled in tight! Either that or my body is demented!
I have a newborn nappy question. If your snap in boosters only use the snaps that when the nappy is set for newborn are on the outside, do you just use the snap in as a lay in? I hope that made sense?

I'm having a rough day with the sick kiddies... and if its a good day, generally we are out doing something, but this is our 4th day stuck at home and Matilda is stir crazy which is never good. She seeks stimulation and she's already jumped off the top bunk and thrown things everywhere.... Jovie meanwhile is hanging off my pants legs. I can only type now because I'm on the lounge & she is sitting on my lap. I usually welcome home/pj days but today... not so much. I just keep looking at all the organising and packing I have to do.
Most of out OSFA nappies have the booster snapping into the snaps that you use for newborn, the ones on the inside at the front. So would you use the booster as a lay in because snapping where it should snap would interfere with doing up the nappy and would wick onto the clothing. have I confused you more now maz?
