oh how exciting Ali - twins woo hoo. I think that the CT is a couture.....I got it in the swap we had. I love it and Mateauz always reaches for it...I honestly think it was still damp for it not to work long enough for us

Apologies for the forum vomit before.

Maz - on the label, under the cushie tushies logo it will say couture or basix. The only sewn in I have is a basix, but that is the only one with velcro too. The Basix dont have mini boosters, and personally, I dont find they last long without the mini booster, but with both boosters we get quite a decent amount of time. with the mini and full booster you will have 6 layers of bamboo, without you only have 4 layers. there are 2 layers in the nappy, 2 in each booster. Gee I hope that load of waffle makes sense!

Oh I forgot to mention - Fluffy Mail!!! 2 soakers!!!

Ahh yep Maz, Sounds like it would be the mini booster missing that stopped it lasting. And maybe a little damp when Jed brought it in

Ali - when do you get the U/S? Is it too early to congratulate you on twinnies? You sound pretty certain though, so what the hell - congratulations!!!

We've had a breakthrough(ish) on the crocodile rolling from hell. I lay him down, he rolls over and makes a dash for freedom, I lay him back down again and pin him down with my calves, he yells, screams and thrashes around like a fish out of water, I wind up his little music box which has spinning cows on it (very cute), and put it next to him, he shuts up and stares at it absolutely transfixed until it winds down, at which point I frantically wind it back up again before he goes ballistic again. We even got calmly through three poos today. Thank you everyone for your advice, sympathy etc, yesterday I was contemplating chopping his arms and legs off and wrapping his bum in a plastic bag as the only remaining option to getting his bum changed.

Christy, I'm glad you made it home for Matilda, and that you found a place in Sydney.

Ali, very exciting. BUT my SIL was exactly the same. Her GP actually called her after having bloods done & asked her she was feeling. SIL had had M?S from very early on, like the moment she POS & got a BFP. She had an early scan that showed only a sac, no fetal pole etc. Her GP(mow x gp) said Sorry, your misscarring. She was still heaps sick & took my advise to go to a different GP & get bloods done. Bloods came back really reallly high. Had more follow up bloods & this is when GP called her & said get an U\s done ASAP as I believe there are twins.
She is currently carrying a very healthy girl. But one 1.

BUT trust your gut feelings but wait for that scan till you get tooo excited just incase there is just the one bubba in there.

Fingeres crossed though, I would love twins!

    Hi Everyone!

I hope those that went to the Expo in Melbourne enjoyed themselves and bought lots of nice things! I bought a whole stack of nappies so am very excited!!

I have been putting the clothies on Jett ft since yesterday but now his bum is going red Anyone have any idea why or how to fix it? It isn't raw yet but I want to get on top of it before it gets to that. He has been mainly wearing IB d'lish nappies. I'm not sure if it is the nappies, or he just happens to have burny poo atm. And what stuff do you find best for burning bums and cloth?

I also wanted to ask people what you use with your cloth wipes? Do you use a solution or just water? Do you use a spray bottle or bowl or straight from the tap? What do you do when you go out?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm still trying to figure all this stuff out! I know I will get there one day!

Sorry Maz - I sent you that CT in the swap and it didn't have a mini booster in it when I got it. I got it from the 'bargain bin' and Ness helped with it. Maybe it was in the 'bargain bin' because there was no mini booster??

Suse - I feel ya babe! My little terror is like a squirming bucket of worms when I'm trying to change him atm. NOT fun.. although it's funny to watch DH do it He likes the packet the disposable wipes come in (I know, must get organised for cloth ones) so that's my latest trick!

Ali - Quiet congrats... got my fingers crossed for ya!

Oh Ali - congrats, hope it is twins for you (if that's what you're hoping for) but have to echo FJ in that twice my number have been high and first time had to do a dating scan to check for twins and more advanced pg but no I'm just a hormone factory :-) Thus the reason pregnancy recks havoc on my body :-) Would be awesome to be buying MCN for twins though - ohh matching patterns - so cute. good luck fingers are crossed for you.

Mummy tummy - I find the best for red bottoms is corn flower, that will give you a chance to see if it is just poops or a reaction to the fleece lining on the itti's. Ari has a slight reaction to polyester in some nappies but seems fine with microfleece??

Look forward to hearing about wipes solutions as ours aren't working at the moment and I would like to go back to cloth wipes.

Suse - Ari's frantic nappy change antics only lasted a couple of weeks before she figured she wasn't going to get her own way and now she lies herself down for nappy changes.

Ali that would be so exciting. I too had double "normal" levels with Matilda, not Jovie. I was so sick and they had me have an early scan to make sure it wasn't twins. I was so excited. We have twins in our family and I would have loved to have twins, but alas... just very high levels. And tremendous m/s. I lost 7kg in the first trimester.

I love being home. I'm going to hate living in boxes for a few weeks, but I will love living close to family.

Mummy-tummy - I just use warm water at home from the tap. I did try making a solution of bum wash from the net (baby oil, baby bath & water) but didn't like it. When out, if I'm in a baby room I'll try for warm water, else I carry a little bottle of water with me in the nappy bag.

Well feeling a bit better today. DH now using night nappies (again) and still procrastinating over the little squirt. Argh.

Ali - hoping that whatever's in your tummy is healthy and brings your family great happiness! *hugs* and congrats.

Anyone got their October CC bonus yet?

Anyhows, best get dressed to get to the doc.
