I hope those that went to the Expo in Melbourne enjoyed themselves and bought lots of nice things! I bought a whole stack of nappies so am very excited!!
I have been putting the clothies on Jett ft since yesterday but now his bum is going red Anyone have any idea why or how to fix it? It isn't raw yet but I want to get on top of it before it gets to that. He has been mainly wearing IB d'lish nappies. I'm not sure if it is the nappies, or he just happens to have burny poo atm. And what stuff do you find best for burning bums and cloth?
I also wanted to ask people what you use with your cloth wipes? Do you use a solution or just water? Do you use a spray bottle or bowl or straight from the tap? What do you do when you go out?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm still trying to figure all this stuff out! I know I will get there one day!
Sorry Maz - I sent you that CT in the swap and it didn't have a mini booster in it when I got it. I got it from the 'bargain bin' and Ness helped with it. Maybe it was in the 'bargain bin' because there was no mini booster??
Suse - I feel ya babe! My little terror is like a squirming bucket of worms when I'm trying to change him atm. NOT fun.. although it's funny to watch DH do it He likes the packet the disposable wipes come in (I know, must get organised for cloth ones) so that's my latest trick!
Ali - Quiet congrats... got my fingers crossed for ya!
WOHB: BBB & lovelybums wool cover (gave the disana soaker a rest tonight!)
Oh Ali - congrats, hope it is twins for you (if that's what you're hoping for) but have to echo FJ in that twice my number have been high and first time had to do a dating scan to check for twins and more advanced pg but no I'm just a hormone factory :-) Thus the reason pregnancy recks havoc on my body :-) Would be awesome to be buying MCN for twins though - ohh matching patterns - so cute. good luck fingers are crossed for you.
Mummy tummy - I find the best for red bottoms is corn flower, that will give you a chance to see if it is just poops or a reaction to the fleece lining on the itti's. Ari has a slight reaction to polyester in some nappies but seems fine with microfleece??
Look forward to hearing about wipes solutions as ours aren't working at the moment and I would like to go back to cloth wipes.
Suse - Ari's frantic nappy change antics only lasted a couple of weeks before she figured she wasn't going to get her own way and now she lies herself down for nappy changes.
WOHB - pink dot minky wildchild with maz tutti frutti cover for extra protection :
Ali that would be so exciting. I too had double "normal" levels with Matilda, not Jovie. I was so sick and they had me have an early scan to make sure it wasn't twins. I was so excited. We have twins in our family and I would have loved to have twins, but alas... just very high levels. And tremendous m/s. I lost 7kg in the first trimester.
I love being home. I'm going to hate living in boxes for a few weeks, but I will love living close to family.
Mummy-tummy - I just use warm water at home from the tap. I did try making a solution of bum wash from the net (baby oil, baby bath & water) but didn't like it. When out, if I'm in a baby room I'll try for warm water, else I carry a little bottle of water with me in the nappy bag.
Well feeling a bit better today. DH now using night nappies (again) and still procrastinating over the little squirt. Argh.
Ali - hoping that whatever's in your tummy is healthy and brings your family great happiness! *hugs* and congrats.
Anyone got their October CC bonus yet?
Anyhows, best get dressed to get to the doc.
WoPB - it was a BBB with BB PUL.
