Sheesh you gals can talk!! I didn't even manage to read all of the last thread!

I have a number of MCN I don't want any more (just after the swap - wouldn't you know it!!). Is anyone interested in:

BBH small wool cover - blue
Real Nappies (Bummis) Real Snug Wrap - Newborn (2.5 - 5kg)

OUR VANDAL ATTACK LAST NIGHT - dh rang insurance last night - got put thru to Indian call centre! THis morning, insurance company (in our city) told him a tow truck would come to get the car, tow it to their assessor - unsafe for him to drive it like that. Assessor worked out, the YAHOOS drove down our street at 80km an hour (50 km zone, quiet street opposite cemetery) and for TARGET PRACTICE, and they must be VERY good aimers, at 80 clicks per hour, someone leant out the car and AIMED at dh's back window, and threw a HOUSEBRICK!!! So, target practice i guess. I wish they could have just played basketball if they wanted to throw somethign at a target!!!

the assessor found the housebrick below bilby's car seat! We thought the damage was ONLY the back window of the hatchback. but no, the force was so great, the front passenger seat, and the back bench seat will have to be replaced too, and the consoley thing in the middle.

dh had a denim jacket on the back seat, the tiny bits of glass are even INSIDE the closed up pockets of the jacket.

the police had ELEVEN reports of this kind of car vandalism just last night. it was not just us. So eleven people are majorily out of pocket.

Most of the nappies are dry!!!! We are back in cloth tonight!!!

If only Sarah would go to bed!!! Bed time was 2.5 hours ago and she is still up playing and refuses to stay in her room, and she knows how to open the door.

Christy - we use undies here too. Sarah really didn't take long enough for anything I ordered to arrive in time for accidents

Maz - Vy is doing really well! the way she reacted will help her!! I doubt she will have too many accidents! WTG Vy!!!

    Hi all

Arimeh - sounds like a chaffe (sp?) burn, Ari would get them in her bubblebubs and sometimes her bum G. I would put some bumps and bites cream on them from Healing Hippo but I think any healing cream would work

Kaz - I got some beautiful covers from Maz last year for Ari and my nephew Sebastian and Sam at The Nappy Bucket used to have some embroidered Berry Plush ones but not sure if she still has them up?

OMG at the temps you guys have been having! I have been reaching for the covers here as the temp drops down towards the 20's hehe

cloth for us? We have having huge night time probs, last time she soaked a wild child before midnight? Her GNST lasted longer but she still doesn't seem comfortable?

Christy - trainers we have some Blueberry but I prefer the side snappers, some super undies (by up size) and some Bumwear nappy pants. The super undies are nice and trim but I bought a small size and I need a bigger pair so will be onselling (what size do you need ???) So far my favs are still the Bumwear nappy pants as they are trim, pocket style so i can boost them and they have the side snaps for when she doesn't make it in time.

Gigi - sorry to hear about your car, hope you get it fixed up soon.

Grrr Gigi more boil on bum vibes for them

Antheia does she have a message generator on the contact us page on her store? Maybe use that! You could always try PMing her on NC too. He username over their is Tish's mum (or something similar.

Jols the pawpaw ointment you use is the red tube one isn't it? I saw some on the counter at the chemist yesterday and was tempted to grab a tube but wanted to dble check first.

I'm thinking of getting some training pants for C too. He's driving me mental running in yelling "wees potty" but when I try to get the nappy off him he screams and says "no leave me alone" so I'm thinking they might be easier for him to pull down instead of a nappy. Saw some nice imse vimse ones at the PBC expo and almost got some but had already spent waaay too much.
BTW thought I'd add that the toilet seat I bought is fantastic It's called a lupi lu if anyone wants to have a gander!

    Maz!!!

Thanks for the list... I will troll about and have a think. I think if I get the Kmart brand for around the house, and then some noice ones for day care/nights we may have a goer. She has absolutely no interest atm, everytime I encourage her to sit on the potty she stamps and screams :NO!: so there ya go!

Gigi - so sorry to hear about DH's car. Bloody little hooligans. Why can't they be hooligans without destroying people's property? Grrr.

Sam - the paw paw salve you want isn't the one in the red tube (that's the Lucas brand, it has a petrochemical base). The one you want is in a yellow tub or tube, it's the Simmons brand. It's a non-petrochemical base! Bit harder to find, but it's available in some health food shops. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll pick some up for you (that's if my health food shop has any in stock, they're a bit hopeless with remembering to keep things that I like in stock grrr)

Kat - your little Jack is so cute in his white dot minky. Just seeing how little he is compared to the change-table (unless you have a SUPER huge change table lol) really makes me realise just how much E has grown in 11 months!

Maz - at Vy. I can just picture it. All you lot with your TTing bubbies, we'll have to call this the Undies General Discussion soon the way it's going

Sorry, haven't gone back more than one page, so anyone I've ignored, sorry...

I ordered my GreenKids yesterday, a red Anytimes and a zebra Minkytimes. Whoo Hoo. Sasha is just super lovely to deal with - she's awesome! And I've got a few other fluffies in the workings, so I'll have some really good fluffy mail on the way.

We've had a bit of success with changing lately. It's much easier when DP is around, because then one can distract/calm/restrain whilst the other changes. When it's a wet nappy, I change him standing up. Some of his AIOs can go on standing up. Others, I lay him down just at the very end and give him his music box to play with which keeps him amused. If it's a poo, I lay him down and give him his music box, which distracts him just long enough to let me clean his bum in peace, then I let him run around for a minute once he's clean before crash tackling him again to do the nappy. If all else fails, I have to do the pinning him down and torturing him routine, but today I haven't had to resort to that yet. So we seem to have reached an uneasy truce, it could all change again in a minute, but so far, it's not toooo hideous.

    Hi All

I just DO NOT have the time to catch up on everything so I skimmed the first and the last page!

GIGI: So sorry to hear about the damage to your car! I hope it all gets sorted out soon for you.

This will be quick - despite the fact that I've been missing in action for awhile... BUT I'm enjoying a child-free Saturday and I'm trying to make the most of it. DH had to work and was able to take DS with him and they were making all sorts of grand plans of what to do and where to go after they finished up the job DH had to do. DH just rang to ask a question actually (and I was short on the phone with him which I feel quite bad about at the moment) and they were at an aquarium looking at new fish for our fish tank (not that we can afford it right now but still something fun for DS).

Anyway, my real reason for popping in here was to ask a question.

I have a Green Kids nappy (I think it is a Fun Times - it has drangonflies on it) and it keeps leaking. Are they OSFA? Or are the sized and it is getting too small for DS? My medium peapods leak horribly and I've chalked that up to the fact that he needs larges. I stuff the GK with the GK boosters so I don't think I'm over stuffing them! HELP!!

Not much else to report - just trying to get ready and organized for my trip to the states for my sister's wedding. I can't believe we are leaving in less than two weeks!

WOHB: no idea - hopefully daddy has changed it by now since they left the house at 10am!!

K, it should be, the booster is more for longer stretches. So you should be ok as long as you remember the booster isn't in it & may need changing earlier.

The booster is exactly the same size for the med and large peapods so unless you have issues with the fit of the cover being too small then maybe an extra booster will be enough.

Suse thanks for that! Will so check out my health food store that that one

I found Isla needed to be in the lge peapods. I bought a med & it leaked heaps bad every single time.
After speaking with Alax from peapods all we could put it down to was her shape. Even though she is probably still in the weight range for mediums she has been in lge for over 12 months.
I had to add extra snaps to thelge to avoid wing drop & so I could cross over the wings.
She has a peapod on now actually & only just now have I not crossed over the wings. although around the waist is probably still a bit loose.

Heidi - maybe a strip wash? I read somewhere that will help with PUL

Us - well just as I returned upstairs from getting rid of the poo from yesterday's CC nappy (poo from hell) and DH let me know Pip needed a nappy change .... OMG it was groundhog day. The same poo in the same nappy (blue BBB) and it was a shower job. Of course, DH wouldn't get in the shower with him, so I had to.

Least its good nappy drying weather!
    LS update: still not attached.

WoHB - BBB with soaker. He's asleep.
