    well.....

the BBH minkee held up for the wees.... but as Jack was laying on the change table he decided to let rip.. and we had a pooplosion.. obviously these nappies were dezigned for littlies with chunkier legs and there was poo everywhere out of one leg....

    guilty mummy moment...

Put a hemp Bubba J nappy on DS at about 12:30pm...

Got home from playgroup and shopping at 3pm and totally meant to change him the moment we got home - especially because I was going to wash a load of nappies as well.

However, got distracted and he didn't get changed until 7pm and his bum was BRIGHT red!

I gave him lots of kisses and cuddles and apologized and then slathered his bum with cream!

WOHB: Abby Gro nappy heavily boosted for the night

Kitten - glad you are enjoying your MCN prepping time

Katones - how did your peapods TRIAL go?

Arimeh - how is the nappy rash situation??

Maz - so Mat also can't handle synthetic next to his skin? ala bilbs. i now have a good quantity of flannelette and also cotton velour liners to put inside all the nappies, it's really helped heaps.

    LilP -you're human hon!

    WOTBB: dragonflymagik night nappy

bilbs had to be taken out of CC early today, due to temp, all she wants is booby juice.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this already but Cheeky Tots have a bit of a nappy (& other stuff) sale on atm... who uses Baby Kangas? Are they alright? I really like the look of the red one with black snaps...

Gigi - Hugs to Bilby, Punky & I are sick too atm... it's sooooooo horrible!

I meant to say yesterday about magicalls how ours ALWAYS leaks, no matter what I do, it's the one with the main sewn-in part that you can add the booster in pocket-style. It's relegated to the cruddy emergency nappies in the corner.

Hugs to the sick ones, I'm feeling a bit erk too, hopefully that means I'm fighting something off, as opposed to coming down with something! So home with Si, while mum takes Riv to playgroup to burn off energy. She's good to me.

Think I'll pull out some more mediums for Si, it's so exciting him being on solids, I don't have to be quite so militant about brilliant leg fit.

Don't stress Heidi, I'm the queen of forgetfulness, I thank God regularly that my boys for the most part have butts of steel (apart from teething times, especially teething poop, which is steel corroding). If I've left a nappy on longer than I should, I often just chuck bub in the bath for a bit of a soak. And a nice slathering of some cream, be it nappy rash cream, or baby moisturiser with healing ingredients.

Don't stress about the poosplosion Kat, newies can explode out of pretty much anything I reckon. I think some babies actually take a new nappy as a personal challenge to poo out of it. When Si pooped out of a cloth nappy, I just thought to myself - what if it had been a sposie with no elastic at the back!? Ick.

Gigi - the top layer from one of the blistering bits has started to come away - so I'm guessing its getting better? He is noticing his bum hurts now when I put cream on it He is asleep in my arms at the moment - with his dummy and toy dog - my god my arm is dying cos his head is so heavy.....

And we had to take him out of CC yesterday too - his temp was 39, and 40 by the time I got him to the doc.. and I don't even have any booby juice to make him feel better!

thanks honey...guess what im making today now I took Mateauz' nappy of this monring after 1/2 an hour due to doing pooh number 2 for the day and his 'sack' was stuck to the booster and took skin off so have dugged out the velour and will work on making him liners.

Ive started washing my nappies in jsut water...no soap and Ive found that to help abit. I hear Alexis at the IB stand say her girls have really sensitive skin and she doesnt use detergents with her nappies so thought I would try it. Here's hoping it has the same wonderful effect for us.

i hope that Bilby is better honey and that your gotten some sleep

Vic - dont gforget to take your needle with you to Spotisville babe..I always forget which bloody needle to get.

Bloody hell Mel - is he alright today? crapola!

I have a bark and a half today....its killing me and now Vy and mat have got a runny nose. mateauz is in bed now...poor bugger and tooth number 2 is cutting through. I heard him a few times through the night but couldnt get my head of the pillow so Jed tended to him.

I think I have to spray disinfectant on my mail out orders so I dont contaminate people

oh sweetie, i hope i didn't come across as HURRYING you, i just knew you were goign to do it AT SOME STAGE. i know you are under the pump so much already, truely, whenever you get round to it! don't hurry up on my account, i didn't mean to add something MORE to your list of "stuff to do".

you're exhausted - some things will just ahve to wait - i bet just getting the Essentials done right now, is PLENTY for you to do.

Does anyone know why my nappies are getting really stiff????

I don't have them out in the sun that often - hasn't been the greatest weather - but all the inserts turn really stiff!!!

I don't think I'm using too much liquid - but maybe I am???

Maz - he keeps asking for cake - but I don't have any... at least he is sitting up now - been lying down all morning...

Mel do you have a top loader or front? I found that my friends who have top loaders have softer nappies than I do. When I use the lower spin cycle mine aren't as stiff. Also I do an extra rinse, and then I sometimes add bi-carb soda to the final rinse to soften the water. HTH!

well the Peapod held up nicely infact... Jacks legs still need to be that bit bigger and nappies will fit alot better.
