yesterday I ordered a pocket change pocket nappy, and I received an email saying its been posted, so hopefully we will receive that early next week.
did you go for the "new and improved" or the cheaper but still excellent originals?? I'm needing more of these. Got three small size (blue, yellow and green) that I need to try and sell first, in order to fund more purchases!

    Hi Ladies
I received my BBH nappies, so DD has worn both of them now, and done massive poos in both of them the 1st time she wears them... why does she always do that? I think I like my IB's better though, her butt was huge with the BBH! I dont think her leggings (that she wears heaps) under dresses and long tops would even go over them! I've been told swaddlebees are also very small, is that right? Gotta look out for them on sale somewhere, so that I can convince DH I need more!
BBH nappies - did you get the OSFA type or the sized ones?
the OSFA nappies will always be bulkier than sized nappies.

we use the sized swaddlebees and they are nice and trim. my bub suits narrow crotch nappies and the SB's certainly fit that bill. She wears leggings over them no problems. That's how i send her to childcare, and the workers have no problems putting the leggins over the SB pockets either.

we have more issues with jeans, can only get the longer shorts with the adjustable waists to fit ok, but i think that is due to her little waist and short legs, not the nappy's fault.

another very trim nappy, but this one is a FRONT snapper, is the itti bittis.

NaNa - i went troppo dyeing all our flats, prefolds etc when hugely pregnant - that was SO MUCH FUN!!! was it your nesting thing too? or did you do it later?

i had the best fun, dyeing originally white, pink and pale blue stuff, to end up PURPLE!

Kazbah, we are not having an inspection, i was just mentioning that our rental has white carpet in the bedrooms - so when we DO get inspected - i get very anxious. Our landlord is a housing co-operative. So no landlord as such. But you still lose your bond if the person doing the inspecting is not satisfied. The first tenant of our unit GOT TO CHOOSE the carpet colour. SHe was an older lady living by on her own.

MAZ - congrats on being bowled over by all those laffin hyenas! i'm surprised that you're surprised. love the photos of the Miracle Boy that is Matteauz!

Raven - i've swapped over to tots bots flushable liners. when they go thru the wash, i cannot use them a second time - the fabric matts up. Have decided to stop using the older ones, i THINK they were bambino mio ones, but unsure as they came to me without packaging - anyhoo, they were much more paper like (paper than can survive the washing machine cycle of two hours!!!). the tots ones are so much softer and nicer.

WOTBB: whizz kidz OSFM side snapper and Peep-o bilby shorties (it's day time).

LOL FJ I just remember us 2 years ago going through this exact same thing!!! Hun I hope your little one comes when he is good & ready to come! Not when a midwife wants to stick her fingers up your vagina!

So... here I sit in my empty house wishing I had some cloth nappies!!!! Mine are stuck on a train somewhere between Brisbane & here and won't arrive until Monday at the earliest I'm gutted. I'm sitting on our Incredible's fold out lounge atm which we brought to help transport my double bass. Our friends have helped with bits and mattress's so we can all sleep in the same house. But I'm missing my stuff!

mum_2_squidgee - that's cool. darlings downunder had them reduced too, so that's somewhere else for me to check in case they've run out! thanks!
Gigi- I wish I had the energy to have done that when I was heavily pregnant... I just sat around and ogled MCN online and whinged about feeling lumpy! My mum did all my nesting for me, bless her! AND she gave me massages every day for 2 weeks and acupressure to get me a super-quick birth when I was 5 days overdue.
I got Actil brights, they come in rainbow colours. I just cant do white or pastels! Sadly, the Actil stuff isn't as good quality as it used to be, so I might invest in some better ones and go nuts with the dye! My mum only had red terry nappies for me when I was a baby, so I'm carrying on a family tradition, of sorts.

FJ - when you're ready, three finger-widths up from your ankle (inside leg) press hard just behind the bone for 10 seconds, repeat. And again. It's like an ignition switch for labour! Well, it worked for me, anyway... is there money riding on this??

WOHB: BBB with tots bots fleece cover (rainbow stripes, of course!! poor kid...)

NaNa that is exactly where I had an accupuncture needle put in the other night. It's the cervix ripening spot!

Christy - how frustrating for you that the movers haven't delivered your furniture WHEN THEY SAID they would.

NaNa - the dyeing wasn't hard, you put the stuff you want to dye, thru a quick wash, just to get it wet really, then unscrew the top off the dye bottle, put dye bottle inside washer, and the salt, shut the door, and start the longest, hottest cycle your machine has. Come back in two hours and it's done. I did this at nine months pregnant (and feeling very sore and sorry for myself) no worries.

dyeing with procion dyes etc is a different ballgame, but the supermarket RIT and DYLON - piece of cake. but don't forget the salt!

WOTBB: sugarpeas cover with sugarpeas nappy insert and wool booster. Yes, a booster made out of wool. and i hotwash it with the nappies.
Now bilby is 11kg and the sugarpeas cover weight range is 12kg (the medium), i'm thinking i might stop using it as a night cover, i think the large size would be better now. But from 7kgs (from when she was under one year) to now (just about to hit two), it sure has served us well as a night cover.

how exciting, waiting for Raven and FJ to pop! cluck cluckity cluck.

anyone got Top Secret breastfeeding clothing? do you recommend it? got any to sell 2nd hand?

Are there any acupressure points to get my DH in the mood to DTD? I'm getting clucky again!

Gigi, I haven't used the putting the dye bottle in method, I usually use the cakes of dye.

Still got the sinus happening, just took some nighttime codral and hopefully will get another good night's sleep. And hopefully Pip will too.

After his lunchtime nap DH came in and said I had to deal with Pip - he'd pulled off his cover (GK) and nappy (bbb) and then peed in his bed. Yay. At least the very expensive mattress protectors work! I told DH though that he's lucky Pip hadn't started drawing on the wall with his poop *grins*

WoHB - still in the snoozywun.
