Suse - do I have to use it...it smells to pretty..adn im very jealous that you can stick a boob in his mouth and fix him that way....my boobs just sway in the breeze uslessly now
Maz honey - you don't have to use it if you don't want - you can just sniff it every now and again. But, it does have moisturising oils like sweet almond which can go rancid after a while, so you'd probably want to use it within about six months. I'll happily do you a refill if you run out babe (Oh, and I'm sorry sweet, I didn't mean to make you jealous, but remember, your boobies got him where he is today, which is a bloody massively huge achievement. You deserve a gold medal for it).

Gigi - E has been super psycho, running around like a nutter, crazy, happy-happy-joy-joy baby with all of the kisses and cuddles he's been getting. He actually was asleep within about 10 minutes of getting home tonight, hopefully he'll stay that way LOL.

Poor bubba has the reddest bum I've ever seen. 5 (count them) 5 poos today. The second one was the kicker, it must have been a super teething stealth poo because he was bright red all over when the nappy came off (and he'd only been in it for 15-20 minutes), and everytime we changed his bum it got redder and redder. He just wouldn't stop pooing. Every time we touched it or put cream on it he just howled, it obviously really stung, we've tried moo goo, bepanthen, and finally sudocream, as well as running around nude for an hour or so (which was very amusing).

So munchkin will undoubtedly be spending his birthday with a very red bum.

WOHB: nature baby care sposie and about a litre of sudocream.

Gigi is Bilby still the bubba on the dragonfly magic page? I actually got to see it last night for the first time...for some reason it wouldn't load for me before. I'll have to give her nappies a go when Bub needs some new ones cos I likes the look of them!

Oh wise nappy ladies with Frontloader washing machines... what should I do..

Ok, Last night I went & bought a washingmachine. Now I think I should have got the other one LOL
What I got is a Frontload 7kg, has a tilted barrel, 1400RPM spin. Electrolux 4 star water rating.
What I am thinking I should have got is the Electolux 8kg frontloader that is 1000rpm spin & 4.5 star rating.
They both use 68 litres of water per load but I am thinking I will fit more into the 8kg one.

Can anyone tell me if I would fit a qeen size doona into the 7kg one? I am just thinking I have 6 people to wash for & kids who occasionally wet the bed....

Im thinking seems the items haven't been delivered (got a TV & Drier as well) that I could ring up & ask to swap the machine. Price was similar (the 8kg was actually cheaper).

But I layed in bed for about 2 hours last night (well more like at 2am) thinking I should have got the 8kg one....
    What should I do??

PP - panadol can sometimes make their wee change the colour of the nappy.....I had a nappy on Mateauz after I have him panadol one night and when I changed him in the morning the inside was black.

Kaz - mateauz doesnt want bb at all...he bites and pokes at it but nothing...and I still have milk oh the baby.....boy

Fiona - are you gonna prop up the new machine then if you get that much wate rin your laundry...friggen hell!

how soon after giving panadol does it come through into the nappies? DD has some panadol yesterday, and I havent noticed anything yet? Maybe I should use sposies today?

I just got some fluffy mail, well kind of anyway, I bought some new booster sets for my IB snap ins as they were BOGOF. It was still exciting to receive!

I need to look at getting something for my nappy bucket, I am washing every 2nd day, but when I open the lid it stinks! Almost makes me gag! Any suggestions?

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Kellie, some people don't notice any difference at all, others notice a grey stain. You don't need to use sposies, if you're concerned you might get a stain, just soak (or maybe even just rinse) your nappies til she's done with panadol.

    WORB: Sposie, he's got diarrhea.

Kellie, there have been a few good suggestions from the ladies here for smelly nappy buckets:

    - rinsing or little squirting your nappies before dry pailing them (the wet ones as well as the dirty ones)

    - making a "hanger" of some fabric or old breast pad and hanging it off the handle and into the bucket after putting quite a few drops of your favourite essential oil on it

    - adding baking soda after each nappy. didn't work for me, though.

    - holding your breath when opening the bucket

    - if all else fails: wash more frequently. ie. every day

    - ooooh, yeah, and keep your nappy bucket out of the sun! sounds like a no-brainer, but i like to leave my laundry door (the one that goes into the back yard) open for ventilation and the other day, the afternoon sun was cooking the contents of the nappy bucket. enough said...

Hope you find something that helps. It's pretty rank, isn't it...

Happy birthday, Euan!!! Hope your bum doesn't trouble you too much on your special day.

    Sa?a

PP, I did try going topless (on my nappy bucket) once, but I found the whole laundry reeked... I always leave my widow open, but that didn't seem to make much difference... :-(
