Can't wait to see little Ruby in all her girly nappies. Yay!

Jodi, it'll fade, I've had a few stained Ittis in my time, and the sun usually sorts it.

rhyb, I know that many people in hot areas don't use covers for their fitteds, because...dunno. Jodi? You skip covers sometimes don't you?

Feeling a bit better today, but I think Si has gastro, his nappy was the worst I've ever smelled in all my time being a parent. Think gross and strong and sour smelling - initally I blamed it on the dog! Thanking God that at least we seem to be taking it in turns and aren't all sick at the same time.

WOTB: sposies, mum & dad are babysitting all of us today. Plus, if that nasty nappy had been in cloth, I would have cried.

I hardly ever use covers over bbh, only mainly at night or if I'm putting pants on them.

Have fun at Euan's party ryhb!

Way to go on the crawling MJ!!! clever girl... thank god my MAJ can't even roll yet.. lol

OK - I have a problem... this shredding of inserts is getting worse.. its happening to my sewn in ittis now I can't work out what the hell is happening... I have worked out a few things..
    1. Its only the bamboo inserts
    2. its never the shell of the nappy
    3. Its hers AND his
    4. Its not the cats cos its happening to one that was up high and even one of my ittis had the snap ripped from it and a big hole there ()

    Congratulations Sammi!!!

Mel, someone on NC was posting the exact same issues. It was something to do with really strong wee or the wee staying on the nappies for too long.
How often do you wash? I think it was suggested on NC to either soak rather then dry pail or to thoroughly rinse then dry pail.

eta - it was happening to her Itti's also

Fj - I wash every second day - usually - otherwise I can't fit all the nappies on the line or in the washing machine!!! lol

I'll try to do a thorough rinse to all of them now

    My poor ittis..

wow that's weird Mel - I haven't had that problem at all.

Erk, beetroot poo. Or, why toddlers & roasted beetroot don't mix!

Well DH has run out of sposies, so keeps bringing me a boy with a clean bum ... rawhide.

Beatrix- hope the bb's clear up for you. they reckon that amber necklace helps that too?

    Sammi!!! WOOT!

Girls... I have some news. I went to the markets today. Sunday morning markets are my thing and as I was wandering the "other stalls" or non food items, I found a stall that has.... soap nuts!!! A whole stall of soap nuts!!

Now, I wasn't sure what to do... they have boxes with sachets of ground up soap nuts but they are one use only things... then they have bags & boxes of soap nut shells. I asked for the whole things & they said they use them to make their soap, which was displayed next to it

They are $20 a box, which has a kg of soap nut shells. Is that value? Or is that just wrong?

    Anyway....

WOHB: Nothing!!! I came home from the markets & she still had the same nappy on as overnight, DH changed it under a chorus of full nag and there was a nasty nappy rash.... so she's having nappy free time.

    *jumps*

Cloth nappying is so boooooring once you have a big chump who has all the nappies he needs, and not much likelihood of growing out of them.

*yawns, and goes back to sleep*
