Oh deary! Ashton has a red front, but it's not red like nappy rash, its dry and scaly!! Anyone else have this??
At the moment he is having nappy free time smothered in moisturiser.
WOHB: Bizy Bee frog shimmer![]()
Cat - depends which paw paw cream you are using... red one not ok, yellow and black ones are ok.
thanks mel, yes its definately the black one, no nasty petrochemicals here babe!!
maz - thats why not the red one!
it works a treat on her, just great..... havent needed to try the moo goo yet (DH has claimed this as his own)
ahh cool I will have to get some! I hear about it all the time so must be good![]()
Fluffy mail fluffy mail fluffy mail
My Itti's have arrived! They are soon-to-be in the wash so we can start MCN-ing tomorrow. Yay! So exciting!
Must file away that paw paw ointment tip, we have the red stuff but might buy some of the black stuff instead.
I'm still waiting on my wild child night nappies, and since I'm up near the home of wild child on holidays, I might be able to go pick them up in person if they're ready in time... should I ambush her and snaffle all the bling?? heheheheh....
Finally got DS out of sposies, put him in cloth for the plane trip and long drive. Got to my mum's place and popped the contents of the day's wetbag in the washing machine, told her to just leave it until after the next change and I'd put it on to wash. She thought she was doing a nice thing and put it on for me while I was resting, complete with lots of Omo powder and stinky fabric softener - aaaaaaaarrrrrrgghhhhh!!! Spent the first morning of my holiday doing a strip-wash by hand (tank water...). c'est la vie.
Let's just say she knows better now.
OK, back to lolling under a mango tree...
WOHB: orange BP
the yellow tube or tub (Simmons - available online at ecobabe and i see it IRL at health food shops, organic baby shops too sometimes
the black tube - i can never remember the name of it
the red tube or tub (Lucas) that's the one i avoid, as it's petroleum based.
enjoy your fluffy mail ANna!
now Kitten3 - i'm sure there was something exciting you posted recently, that i wanted to comment on (congratulate you on, something good like that), and now i can't remember! (i've had internet problems last day or so, so have read many more posts than i've replied to). Brain is on holiday to Tahitit. Wish all of me was in Tahiti - anywhere in fact than right here.
I cannot believe WILD CHILD site has a section for BABY BLING, and ANOTHER section for OOAK (one of a kind), SPECIAL nappies! What else are baby bling is not super spesh? If i see a cow bling nappy, uless it's pink, would you like me to buy it on your behalf Maz, and you fix me up later? i'm going on the law of "if i don't want it, my hyena skills might just fluke it".
FJ - your gecko one sounds great, hope you post photos of it, action shots etc, when it arrives. Are you a WC consultant now? (your signature).
PINKPALACE - when your bub fills a nappy with pastey stuff, that doesn't seem to budge, try LEAVING the nappy in the nappy bucket, come back to it a few hours later, and try again. (maz or nelle, or someone very experienced in the Affairs of Poop, told me this most excellent tip, yonks ago. Sometimes i find, in this time, the liquid in the paste has evaporated, adn the stuff is easier to move, even it kind of peels of in a thick "skin".
i never had to scrub or soak the nb nappies. Just little squirted the prefolds, (used microfleece liners too) and into the dry pail.
oh and RAVEN - what you said, about Itti bitti, being narrow in the CROTCH but fuller coverage in the BOTTOM, that makes alot of sense. i had obv not put that all together, so thanks for articulating that for me. I nominate you as The Voice of Reason.
off to see to a squealing banshee, formerly known as Tiny Bilby, she may be up for swaps too ( my ears are ringing ).
damm xmas shopping, did it today - first time i had been xmas shopping since 2005. 2006 i gave up, 2007 was too hard, 2008 - doing a pitiful amount four days before xmas.
i now TOTALLY get why some people buy WAY ahead of time and even wrap ahead of time, they are so smart - to AVOID the xmas kafuffle. the noise of the shopping centre, all the smells, chemicals, so much perfume, beeping going off everywhere, all the mobile ringtones - blimey - talk about sensory overload, god knows what little kids make of it, no wonder they hate shopping, i do too. i got so stressed, i'm not even sure that i bought the right things, just wanted to get OUT of there.
wotbb: minky pocket and cute dress that JUST covers the nappy, so much peek a boo the nappy going on, for one so NOISY, at least she LOOKS cute!
where is Queen Mabel? i hope she's not having internet isthoos where she's moved to. If you're lurking, you are missed, Your Royal Highness.
AJP - how is your "work in progress" going? thinking of you, being pregnant in the heat.
