Im around just been out for ice cream and a play at the park by the beach. Sweated like a pig even though it was cloudy so Im guessing I'll be needing a ja ja cleaning shower too Maz Both the boys are in sposies now as its bedtime but theyve quite enjoyed the MCN extravaganza today. Hardly any arguing about nappy changes which is a plus as I dont have the energy to hold down 14kg and 12kg of toddler with poop between their buttcheeks. Yep we had a poo (and a runny one at that WAH!) but I rinsed the Itti, washed it then line dried it and NO STAIN To withstand the almost acid like toxicity of my boys butts is amazing.

Even though I have enough naps for the older boyo's I think Im going to need to buy more, maybe some fitteds with cool covers.................Dh will scream if he hears me say that

alioops - I think I am having similar issues to what you were having re: instant redness when not in spossies... what did you end up doing??? (Help!! I want to get Punk back in cloth THE SECOND we arrive in our new house!)
Do you use Tea Tree oil in the bucket? Em was reacting to the tea tree oil. 1 strip wash later all was fine. Other causes could be reactions to synthetic materials, so try to use only natural inners for a few days if you are not using Tea Tree oil. I still have to find something else to reduce bucket stink. Might have a sticky beak at what essential oils are safe in pg.

Anna - I have told DH we need more nappies. He rolls his eyes and says if he goes overseas I can buy more with the payments

Rhoda - I made liners to suit my widest nappies and then if I had overhang on a skinnier nappy I folded it to fit. I dont use liners often now though but I will be using them all the time when we have tar poo and splat poo.

BIt of a crappy day here today. DH pranged his car this morning before church, on the way home from his morning run. He likes to run up Castle Hill. He was nearly home and lost traction after a brief shower and his back end hydroplaned and he took out a light post on the median strip. The firies told him not to drive it incase the fuel tank was damaged. It is the back panel that is damaged and the window fell out. Thankfully he avoided the car next to him on the roundabout but I have been dealing with the insurance company, Fun - NOT!! Cops said he did the best thing in the situation, it could very easily have been much worse. I doubt it would be a write off but who knows how long it will be off the road for. Early mornings for me for a little while I have to go and get his stuff out of it while he is at work tomorrow, here's hoping for no rain tonight considering it is not weather proof!! Just what we need right before Christmas

So having been on the phone to insurance and dealing with all that stuff nappies still have not seen the WM.

WOTB: Sposies. 2 days till holidays!! I can't wait till Wednesday!!

    Howdy owdy

    Have a good time Maz!!!!

I can't believe it - I changed DD at around 6ish last night - and just put her in an Erica's fitted nappy & motherease cover (expecting to wake her at 10 and give her a feed and a change into a night nappy) and I didn't end up waking her up cos we were exhausted because of lack of sleep the night before (I had a tummy bug) and DH got up to her at 2.30 - moved her in the cot - then she woke up at 6am for a feed!!

I was scared to take off the mother-ease and see what was awaiting me..lol... was all good though - sopping wet.. luuuurve my mother-ease!!!!!!

Thats all the nappy related news here.. no TTing news - just the one wee..

Ashtons DNA test came back today so hopefully now his dad will stop being a jerk and I can relax a little!
I accidentally forgot to change Ash out of his Razzily Rhino pocket last night before bed so he was in it from 9pm till this morning at 9am and he didn't leak! I couldn't believe it!!

OMG ok I can remember why cloth intimidated me the first time round with bub #1 - cleaning yukky poop off nappies totally sucks Esp with Dh retching and making a girly big deal out of it at the door with the kids giggling like school girls. We've had 3 poops today from ONE of the boys, thankgod Rip has a shcedule with his 'potty business' that involve poo's in his night sposie.

Maybe I need to get me a little squirt ASAP, washing runny poop by gloved hand is totally gross.

Or even liners, I have some fleece ones but are there any others that are better/easier? Not that my Itti's are staining or anything, I rinse/washing machine rinse/wash and dry ASAP so the stain doesnt set and so far no major spot issues.

Now if you like Mel, I had to wait til a decision was made and provided no one mentions it on my facebook Im pretty sure Im safe to post it here...........

Im going to be an Aunty in july!

Alot sooner than I ever expected but thems the brakes eh. My little sister (21) is pregnant, unplanned and the father isnt interested (which she knew would happen and is cool with) but its been a rough few days since she told me while she tried to come to a decision about what was best for them. Now its made and Im excited and worried for her, but I get to be there when s/he is born which is way cool

thanks FJ. I'll see - they are so pricey (yet so very cute) ...... still trying to decide if her name in crystals would be cute or too paris hilton - esque.... and input there ladies?? lol

must say I am very happy with the swaddlebees eco nappy too, fitting her quite nicely now. do you guys undo snaps on such nappies when washing and drying?

also, do you think it will damage my nappies washing them the way i have - before i go to bed i do a pre wash then set the timer to do the actual wash during the night at about 3, they sit it the machine till i get up and manage to hang them out....

anna - yeah definately get a little squirt, the thing is amazing, even husbands can work it (and like showing it off to friends when they come round!!) the NAPPY GURNEY
