Kitt3en put them right in front of the window. North facing ones would be better but any will do. If there is no room for the airer then just the stained ones on the windowsill or hang from curtail rail

NaNa and Arimeh, i have cancelled xmas this year, so i'll join your club.
How old does a baby have to be to have the necessary jabs for Africa NaNa? i hope you get to see your inlaws soon.
TERUTERU - places to buy elastic for sewing MCN?
i'm a learner sewer of MCN, i'm sure the proper sewers will jump in and correct the bits i get skew whiff (i hope)
- spotlight sells 6 and 9mm braided and woven swimwear elastic
i can't remember now which one you need, the braided or the woven.
but the SWIMWEAR elastic is crucial, cos mcn's get washed alot!
- mcn supplies websites have both the swimwear elastic AND the FOE (fold over elastic) that you sew on the edges of PUL (leg holes, tummy). Many PUL covers are made like this. The swimwear elastic is sewn in (hidden). The FOE is exposed.
sites include:
- bubba earth
- tiny toosh
- nappies covered
- nappyworks
- fairy fabrics
- greenbeanz (in nz)
- baby delight
well, those are SOME of the MCN supplies sites.
Kitt3n - i dry our mcn inside, on the clothes horse, no sun at all. we don't have stains. i Little Squirt the nappies as soon as they are taken off, between that and the BabyCycle on the washing machine, no stains when they come out the machine.
(I don't have access to an outside drying place and i can't get to the window easily, cos of dh's one tonne recumbrant exercise bike in the way that he refuses to move ANYWHERE ELSE grrrrrrrr - so unusual circumstances - if you CAN get access to sun, all power to that, i just can't).
KATONES - the washable wool Ecobubs side snapping pockets
i've been told the insert opening for those is at the FRONT
i once emailed to ask how wide the crotch is, can't remember, but it was too wide for my child (who suits narrow crotch nappies).
i would give teh ecobub insert a miss, and buy a bamboo trifold instead, to put inside it. mazalicious sometimes has bamboo prefolds/trifolds, or booroi (in three sizes).
wotbb: at childcare, so swaddlebees PUL pocket with organic velour inner
bilby now has size 2 -3 knickers (big sizes from bestnless and coles)
where do you find SMALLER knickers? size 2-3 was the smallest they had. She's in size 1 dress today.
i got her:
dorothy the dinosaur knickers
wiggles "
purple "
i am going to practise putting knickers on her, for an hour a day, shut all the doors in our skinny long place, have her and i in the hallway (lino) to play in the hallway ONLY, so any accidents will be confined to the hallway.
am i meant to keep the knickers, as an inducement to TT?
or put them on her to TT in?
she will not let go of the TAGS that the knickers came with (pictures of Dorothy and Wiggles of course). SHe clutches them like trading cards.

good luck to all the people hosting xmas at their home, i admire your bravery.
xmas can be pretty stressful, good luck to all of us, to get thru the day. i got dh to print all these photos out, bought cardboard and ribbon, to make xmas cards - didn't get it done, been too absorbed researching rental ads and trying to work out how to leave dh.
i'm annoyed with myself, that i didnt' contact some charities earlier, to find out how you go about being a volunterr (to cook xmas lunch for homeless people). That would have been a good distraction (to get thru xmas day, remembering there are plenty of people doing it really tough).
Tomorrow bilby will be in her xmas pinnie i made her, with a tshirt, at a playground, with me and dh, wearing a lovely xmas bib that nessa gave her for her birthday, to eat her sandwiches and banana. oh, in a green pocket nappy, and then a red pocket nappy. to match the pinnie. see, i made it MCN related.
Queen - are you off the air cos you're moving? GL with it all, HUMUNGOUS job to move house.
Maz, thankyou thankyou thankyou for the covers and the breastpads! They are cool! DH was impressed with them all and he tells me I have to wear the breastpads now cause theyre sexy Bloody tool.
And I got my preloved phoenix WC nappy too yey!
Anywho got lots more to do today like cleaning and such so that our xmas pics tomorrow dont look like we are holding it in a dump hahahaha
Got two BBB from b4b and ALL the elastics gone I dont know what Im gonna do theyre so gorgeous and blue!
LilPrecious I sent em off today you should see them soon enjoy
GiGi, go with the flow of the wiggles. Make a big deal out of not wanting to wee on Dorothy. I think your plan of an hour a day is a good start. But expect her to wee in them. I always found with the boys that it took awhile to register that undies/pull ups etc are NOT nappies to be wee'd in. I found doing the bare bum was the most effective.
Isla is catching on to TT once again. All poos are in the potty\. she tells me she needs to go poo by saying "I stink" LOL. She is also pulling nappies off once they are wet & walking like a cowboy till she does so she is obviously finding it uncomfortable to be in wet nappies.
If you find smaller undies let me know I was looking also & could only find 2/3 . Which I don't mind but I could only find them in the expensive brands & really if it has a yukko poo in then I would just toss LOL. maybe I should just put her in the boys undies till she clicks on.
Merry Christmas. Think my day is going to be similar to yours Mel. Just finished feeding 20 horses and am about to start my housework. Am struggling to find the spirit this year. (specially cause the spirits I want are a no no at the moment)
lol Christy!
My kids are having a ball!! They got spoilt this year! Pool, see saw, scooters, tennis set, train table, car tracks, lego sets and more and that was just from santa and I!!
I am so glad we are having it here this year, Ashton wont get cranky cos he can't sleep!
Hope you all have a great day!! Enjoy
WOHB - WC AIO nappy, about to become his Christmas nappy!
I have 5min of peace and quiet while Jett is outside 'helping' Dad cook a leg lamb in the bbq and playing with his quad bike, Ripley has passed out on his bed from all the excitement lol
Looking at the tree this morning I bought waaaaaay too much Going to have to hold myself back in future having 3 kids to buy for, spoilt little things. Jett loves his Cars quad bike and cubby/slide, but most of all he loves his cheapo fuel truck, typical eh! Ripley just stared at all his lovely presents until we opened the play vacuum, weeeeeeeeeeeelll he nearly died of excitement, he adores my Dyson so now he has his own and has not let go of it since. Infact I think its snoozing with him in bed lmao
WOTB - one red and one orange Itti (there was a green one BUT it got christened with christmas poo first thing this morning hehe)
its been so hectic here...kids have been screaming...over happy...to many lollies...blahhhhhh thank god for a good old can of Jim Beam
I have Mateauz in Vy's santa cover from last year...missing one eye of course but hey its better then no santa cover.
Tried to play with my embroidery machine...im about to give up on it! I snapped 3 needles and lets just say....elmo doesnt look good with an extra large out line. IM starting to wonder if its the dot minkee doing it
WOMB - WC night nappy and one eyed Santa fleecie mazalicious
WOVB - magical with trifold minkee topped booster

i was so well prepared with red and green clothing and mcn to put on bilby today, but it seemed pointless, when it was just us three, at home all day. So didn't use any of it.
what did i get for xmas?
bilby did her first wee in the potty (reading her book). Didn't want her to sit on her flipout sofa, just in knickers, so i removed the flip out sofa, put the potty in it's spot, and she sat on that, then did a weird stare, which made me think "is she doing something?", checked and YES! so i made dh join me in a huge celebration of WOO HOO's to get the message thru to bilby that yes, she did good! (she was wearing knickers at the time, didn't pull down knickers or anything, but you gotta start somewhere.) she was carried to the bath, wiped clean, put in new knickers, and taken to see the potty get emptied and flushed down the loo - to help her understand the cycle. and then to wash our hands.
DId i leave anythign out? i'm guessing all the time, hoping i remember all your tips!!!
thanks Maz, i will look out for Bond's hipsters, i got a 3pack of their normal undies at Coles, but they are a bit generous in sizing, didn't notice hipsters, i'll look again.
FJ, i tried bestnless and Coles, havne't looked anyway else, i don't go shopping IRL much these days. I would prolly look in big w, kmart, target when i next get the opportunity - i'll let you know if i find smaller brands in that size.
How typical Maz, you make covers galore for EVERYONE else, and your poor kid gets to wear one with a missing eye! I've made all these bibs, really pleased with them, gave them away, none for bilbs. LOL.
Suse - amazing how much entertainment value is to be had out of sultanas.
bilbs fave xmas pressie was a $2 fairy wand, holographic streamers on it and a glittery star on the end. her fave word is STAR STAR and she'll tell you loudly, STAR STAR, any time she sees or thinks she sees a star. e.g a flower or snowflake can be a star, anything in a starlike shape.
she loved the wooden pullalong toys i got her too, just attached a longer ribbon and away she went. it's like she's the Pied Piper of the pullalong toy.
wotbb: second night nappy for tonight, cos poor love is teething and we had a early night time poo (she never poos at night, unless teeth are coming). at least it was a nugget, i'm grateful for small mercies.
