Tan - u should be fine, my DD wears Large in the IB's.. she is about 10kgs and she wears them on the smallest snaps still
I concur! lol
DD is 11kg and still has her ittis on the tightest snaps (not crossed over but the smallest setting:)
BG - DH is good, he will LS NB poo and seperate before putting in the buckets for (snap ins/pockets).
And will cook on weekends, help clean house etc. so i really cant complain either lol
Does anyone cut their flushable liners.. i have toddler size and they are huge... wondering how to cut them... thinking in 3rd widthways... but they will be a little short then but would it matter?
Hi all, I'm a newbie to MCN's. I have been gaining a stash for the last few months and am hoping I can now make do with what I have. Just received fluffy mail of my 13 Itti Bitti's in smalls and mediums which will hopefully complete the stash for a while. At least until bub is here and I can check that everything works for us. We also have BBH, BG, totbots bamboozle, GK bamboo and a few others in various sizes that I won. I have 40 MCN's, 9 prefolds, a few PUL covers and about a gazillion flats that my mother bought! Do I need wool covers for night? Can I get away with using the BBH for night time?
Bummer, I just went to take a closer look and realized I'd been reading it wrong, the Berry Plush won't fit DD, what a pity.
ive pmed you eugenia :)
Hi megan what a great stash for a newbie lol that bub will be the envy of all cloth newborns hehe.
You can definately use your BBB for nights.
DS sometimes wears them with both boosters and woolies (i prefer them for night). he is 3 months 6 kg
and
DD often wears them with an extra bamboo booster inside and a trifold on the outside and she lasts the whole night (11kg).
but yes i use woolies.
Only comfy to use them after about 6-8 weeks when DS started to wiggle in bed before then he would get compression leaks though.
Megan - welcome! I'm new too and I am sure by the time I type this there will be loads of experience chickys giving you some great advice! :)
I got my bubblebubs bot wash in the post! Yay smells like cinnamon - Im going to want to eat him up - wake up little man I have dried fluff waiting to be played with!
tan DD still fits into ittis medium and is 12 kg!!!
Yay! Thanks! Now just to wait and wait!
Thanks PP. I better get looking at some wool covers as well!
I need to get some liners and wipes as well. What do others use? Flushable or cloth liners? As for wipes, I was thinking of just going to spotlight and getting some material and cutting it up? What material would be best?
Thanks Tanstar :) I was looking at the bubblebubs wash the other day. So many yummy sounding smells.
Megan - we mainly use microfleece liners.
I did just that and cut up material from Spottys. I think 50 cost me about $3-4 lol.
I have just bought flushables (imse vimse) ones to try for out and about and DD has been having toxic poos and i hate carrying the sloosh around for hours... and sick of throwing out my MF liners lol.
I have wool covers and dont use them very much, i prefer shorties and longies. I love llamajama ones. They are such good quality. BUt i have also knitted some myself - if you have the time (i did them while pregnant to pass time lol).. and used 12 ply wool and they also work a treat!
i would suggest upsizing a little with your wool covers for the newbie as esp over night nappies can get a bit bulky and you find the nb or smalls just dont reach all the way over. day on less bulky nappies are fine though.
HTH
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPUNKY MATEAUZ, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOOOOOO (yodelling very very croakily and out of tune but with gusto).
To a very special little man who delights and amazes all who meet you, may you have much happiness in your life, and continue to bring tears of joy to your incredible mum. You have so much to be proud of Maz.
Right, back to sailing down my river of snot (*wails* will it ever stop?). LOL, can you tell I rarely get sick - I haven't had a proper cold in years and years and I'd forgotten how cruddy they are. Whinge whinge, moan moan. You'd think someone had cut my arm off or something.
WOHB: a lovely, soft squishy NEW KK in olive windpro. I couldn't wait until night-time. It has a sort of chequered texture and my DP said that it looks like one of our teatowels. Hmph. (Although I didn't tell him he's right LOL)
Eugenia - i did the best i could with my little model in her bubblebubs large lol
This pic is with it on the tightest setting . You can see it comes well up above her waist.

and this pic is at the largest setting... i am not stretching it in this pic, i am just pulling it so the front is flat on her belly so would still have stretch in it. Sorry i couldnt get a better photo lol but everytime she ran it would fall off hehe.

She is 11 kg :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEAR MAT!!
And happy birthing day to you Maz! You truly are an inspiration and I hope that despite everything you have been through this past year - you are able to relax and enjoy your little boy's special day!
i have a large bubblebubs for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested!
How many mcns do i need if i only want to wash every 2 days?
In melbourne, in winter.
Hi Megan, welcome! Wow your PG is flying along :D
Psssssssssst FYI theweewuns store is in Emerald ;) Look, pat and save a bit on postage :)
rayray about 30-40 allowing a day or so for drying. I really try not to use the dryer as it defeats the purpose when you end up with a huge power bill.
