Gigi hon - I've not tried a honeyboy - so don't know what the fit is like on E. He does have a tendency to spend more time taking velcro nappies off than he does wearing them (and they don't look quite as cute bunched up on the floor), so I don't really look out for more. You and me are firmly in the narrow crotched side snapping corner my dear (although I make an exception for green kids)!

Anna, I use wool every night (and during the day too). Euan's fine in it. Doesn't sweat at all. Funnily enough though, he sweats up a storm if I have him in a teeshirt or singlet overnight, but is cool and dry in a night nappy and wool soaker.

Rhyb hon, you are not having a good run with nappies lately, are you? I'd definitely report it.

BG - I have a jam tots nappy bag and it's a good 'small' bag with a zip. But I have crammed about five nappies in. I've just ordered one of the monkey doodlez bags so will let you know what that's like when it arrives.

OK, this snotty one is off to bed now, I have a date with a box of tissues (luckily I use recycled tissues otherwise I would have gone through at least three indonesian rainforests today alone. So instead I went through three indonesian rainforests that just happened to have a prior incarnation before reaching my nose as the minutes to some accountant's meeting about... I dunno, whatever accountants and officey types use reams and reams of paper for).

My DD is exactly as Gigi described it, really chubby thighs but a small bottom, so she needs double side snaps so we can get the right fit at thighs and tummy and a narrow crotch so there isn't a lot of extra fabric floating around. Not the easiest combination to find in XL sizes.

She sleeps in a wool soaker and I don't think it's too hot on her, at least she's never complained. I'm going to try my hand at knitting some shorties, the most complicated thing I've ever knitted is a scarf so I'll be needing lots of luck.:pray:

Someone i know, who has not knitted before, just taught herself to knit (using some knitting tutor on youtube i think) and the first thing she made was a pair of shorties, using the Ladybugs Loops pattern. You buy it from the LL store at minicuteture apparently. but she said it's over 30 pages long, really well explained - unlike lots of other patterns that are very brief - cos they assume you know wot you're doing (like a beginner definately does NOT know wot they are doing). so i thought that sounded like a really good pattern. she posted pics of her DD wearing the shorties - beautiful shorties.

How many kilos is your DD, for you to say she is needing XL nappies, i thought you had a newborn? My child has just started wearing the large sized swaddlebees, they go until 17kg. I've wondered what i will put on her once she's grown out of her current mcn - they all go to 16 or 17kg.

i've done googling before, to find people larger size nappies, but you're right, i don't think ANY of those types were SS narrow crotch style.

i've thought it through for night nappies though, i will get a custom XL KK AIO for the night nappies. that is a highly adjustble front snapper, unusual snaps formation.

RAYRAY - why loops are usedful on a wetbag?
i don't loop them onto a pram or anything, but maybe mums who walk the pram around the block might do that, only carrying few nappies. Esp at nb stage when bilby was horizontal in the pram, adn i coudln't physiclly get to the basket underneath, that COULD have been an option.
i hang them up in bilby's nursery, so i know where they are
i hang them up to dry on the clothes horse
the wet bags without loops really annoy me. i just like to pick it up by the loop.

when bilby and i go out, i put the empty wetbag (at start of outing) in a nappy bag compartment. i never go out with JUST the wetbag, it's always a car ride if i go anywhere.

if you want MORE wetbags to look up, there are the Leslie Boutique ones at baby softlandings, the Little things wetbags at nurturenappies, blueberry ones at baby blossom, monkey doodles ones, i think at darlingsdownunder.

anyone still after a 2009 ANN calendar (aust nappy network), i saw them for just under $13 at berry baby.

i bought a Wee Friend at Caluna loves - it's a sticker you put on the bottom of the potty bowl, when child wees, the sticker changes from being black, to being a smiley critter (for a few minutes). something to motivate bilby to wee in the potty.

Maz - i FINALLY did see the size 2 bonds hipsters at a woollies tonight - purple and everythang. and - they're a bit gapey at the waist (hides). i'm gonna wash them on HOT and hope they shrink a bit.

i'm starting to think bilby needs knickers with button hole elastic in them! so i can adjust them for her.

Tan, there is an art (tricks) to stuffing The Pocket Nappy well, i will tell you if you want to know. (cos mcn people educated me how to do it about 18 months ago). everything is easy - once you know how LOL. It will take your mind off your dh abandoning, i mean travelling away from you. Think of all the lovely dutyfree stuff he will bring back for you! and absence makes the heart ..........:kissing:

Hi Gigi, I'll have to have a look at that pattern, I need all the help I can get. DS is 11 weeks old but DD is 2.5 yrs old, almost 16kg, very tall, a little chubby (not actually fat just a little more padding) but with very round thighs (she got those from me :doh:). Currently her Large Swaddlebees, lare Peapods and large Itti Bittis only just fit around the legs but still have a bit of room around the waist. I don't know what I'll do when she outgrows them. I might have to revert to sposies part time especially since her size 4 clothes aren't cut for having nappies under them, and I bet she will have outgrown them come winter when she will be actually wearing pants rather than skirts or nothing like now.:(

Gigi - It seems my gut was right as the canestan is clearing up the blisters well. I think the toxic poos were to blame. So i have been trialling DD on soy now to see if it was the FSCM. It seems everytime she starts cows milk something seems to pop up, nappy rash, toxic poos, rashes... you name it. so soy it is for a bit. She had it last night and woke every 2 hours crying... so i am hoping that is from her full day at FDC exciting her and not the soy... will see...

FJ - Yep i agree with gigi the few responses re: Mandy Purple night have been promising. I emalied them about them a few days back but no response... mmmmm are they away??

Well i did a hot wash on my nappies today (and have to use the dryer unfortunately as it is raining.... well that is after i take poohbear out who was blessed to lay in a wet nappy yesterday when ashley took it off in bed....)... hoping they will smell better :)

Well Ash is good, waiting on my bling parcel, should be here today or tomorrow I hope! I am waiting on another bling too but the machine broke so will be waiting another week or so I think :( WAHHH! Oh well might have to put an order in for more lol

We are almost completely out of the med ittis, it's getting harder to do up the snaps! ARGH! I am going to invest in a snap machine I think, I am so sick of wing droop its not even funny! I have one WC bling with 3 snaps, and the others have 2 which is making them sit funny. I prefer 3... maybe Ill ask Michelle to do that for me...

Poor Ash is teething, almost through, the bottom 2. I CAN SEE THEM! haha Wish they would hurry up! Poor thing has been so cranky!

Ashtons daddy and I got back together, may have posted that before but can't remember. Well anyways we went yesterday and did some shopping for him hehe so now he has a proper change table! His daddy wanted to buy it for him hehe I was just using a basinette mattress on my sewing table.

missy - the tips i think i read on here was good for wing droop. Snap the outer snap on the outer ones (to grab the edge of the wing to prevent the droop) and then snap up the rest as tight as needed :)
