Lea - how they are doing it. I rinse them in the shower now of a night time, they get minimal sun (cos I'm usually at work!) and on gentle cycle, wash every 2nd day and minimal liquid - sometimes I don't use any.

Doin my bloody head in i tells ya!!

LEA - itti bitti wipes are cotton velour both sides

    1st - amazing he sleeps 12 hours
2nd - amazing he sleeps 12 hours and sometimes wakes up dry
    BLIMEY!!!
in that case, maybe a day nappy and cover WOULD be fine for him LOL. i was imagining something very different!!! My bub soaked thru a day nappy at that age, in 90 minutes no worries!

    TERU - quickdrying nappies?
    all in twos
    e.g
hmm, not sure i can think of ai2's that are also OSFA
    pockets
    e.g
osfa pick a pack of pockets at babysoftlandings - click on Nappy Packages to find it, it's right at the bottom
    another OSFA pocket is Greenkids
the pocket shells dry uber fast, the inserts take longer, so if you wanna cycle thru the pockets fast, just buy MORE inserts than you buy pocket shells.

oh and the new tots bots OSFA AIO - comes in either bamboo or fluffle, get the fluffle one for quick dry. it's at Nurture nappies and maybe ozbabytrends too? unsure.

EUGENIA - giraffes float your boat heh? we all seem to have certain animal fads! Unfortunately every giraffe mcn i can think of, has wide crotch width. e.g greenkids, i remember you saying that didn't suit your kids.

Lucky you with Pookey Pockets so close. Going anywhere when preg and with a toddler is so hard, that's why we're online, right? it's easier!!

don't mind me, i'm TT-ing obsessed right now. I was just trying to get a sense of whether you needed lots of nappies for her, or just a few. If you needed heaps, i didn't want to suggest exxy mcn to you.

ARIMEH - you poor thing with the Shredding Issue. Not that i understand what it means, but some peole in var bits of aust apparently have HARD water, which ruins their clothes in the washing machine. i'm grasping at straws here cos i have no clue wot's going on with the Boosters That Shred! it's spooky! why you? commiserations hon.

FJ - ta hon, have emailed you

BEATRIX - what a frustrating time you're having at your folk's house!
i must admit, when you talked about going on a date, i also thought about your safety. Someone you don't know much, he could spike your drink, anything. I felt protective of you too, like i dont' want to spoil the fun of a date, but reality is that not everyone is what they seem. So i can understand a little, that your parents want to meet him and sus him out for themselves. Maybe they love you. but in conjuntion with stalking your internet time, and interfering in your parenting, i can well understand how you would be very defensive with ANYTHING they said to you right now. i think they are WAY out of line about your children and not respecting YOUR boundaries of what the kids are allowed to do. And either you can use their ADSL or not, unless you are downloading loads and ruining their bandwidth quota, really, what's it to them if you are online chatting?

ALIOOPS - are you back home yet? yoo hoo!

SUSE - how are you in the Land of Snot?

    SARAM - waves

RAVEN - has Groundhog Day finished yet?

now who is recnetly bought a cowprint wetbag? i saw another one, a Happy Heiny one, it shuts with aplix.

Gigi - yep, rumperoos also do a gussetted AIO. Dunno anyone who's tried one though. It would be interesting to try the Thirsties pocket AIO, but TBH, unless they are more absorbent than the Thirsties fitteds, you would need to seriously stuff that pocket. I have a couple of the fitteds and Euan can wee through one unboosted on a good day in about five minutes. Very very trim, but they are a microfleece inner, a couple of layers of microfibre and a cotton velour outer.

Whoever asked about using tots bots as night nappies (was it you Tan?), I agree with Gigi - they are really a day nappy. I used them unboosted at nights when E was a newborn, then boosted until he was about three months, when I started using dedicated night nappies. For a baby that actually sleeps 12 hours (Euan doesn't), I don't think they'd even come close to lasting the distance. Now I use them boosted during the day if I think he will be having a nap. I've not used BBs, but alot of people use them for nights, Cute Tooshies are another good one for night for a younger baby, that then transition into a good day fitted for an older baby. I still use them boosted for Euan now at night if I need to.

We're getting a little bit of bamboo shredding here too Mel & Jodi (mostly the ill-fated bamboozles, three of which have been retired). My wildchild booster has also started falling apart, as has one of my lotus hemp inserts. But my d'lish insert (snap in) is in mint condition. Weird huh. I wash every second day, LS every nappy, etc, etc. I guess it's a good reason to have a varied stash, at least the damage is minimised.

WOHB: FJ night nappy & wool soaker

ETA: Gigi - snot is gradually receding, thanks for asking hon! I now only have to blow my nose about once every 1/2 hour now, and in between that I can sometimes actually breathe through my nose.

Suse, good to hear you're getting better.

Gigi, it's actually cows that do it for me, and both the children already have cow print nappies, but I really liked Maz's giraffe cover so I was hoping to grab one yesterday and I did!

I don't mind you asking about tt, DD has enough nappies for now but half of them only just fit so she'll need more soon, probably around her birthday in April.
