im doing a JAN specials .. they are groovy and you will love the gifts !!

also doing coulored wools for $17 ea !!

I think BBH rock because the absorb soo much , and BG for a girl they are great .. during the day Gab is in a fitted with the small booster and nap time is the large booster folded up so all the bamboo is right under her hoo haa so when she wees it drinks it up straight away , i also fold the frills around the legs inwards so a pooplosion cant escape... here is a link to a NB fold on Gabriella

she is about 6wks in this pic (i think ..) but i do agree and inform the mamas that they can be too big for smaller birth weight babes .. i used prefolds for about 6weeks

BG - SNIBS are the plastic over pants that do up like a nappy , like you said :) snappies are the clip thingys that do the nappy up .. kwim..

snibs you can get from chemists .. try googlieng them ... i jave never seen them irl .. but heaps of ppl tell me they are onlie (online chemists or in chemist stores ...

found reference to snibb on the eenee website - and they do have them - but they're $10 each! anyone know of another place where i can get them online - but maybe a little cheaper (i have no issue paying that if it's the going price, but seeing i have NFI about pricing i'll throw it open to you ladies!)

bg I have a heap of snibs that are new & unused that were sent to me free. if you like I will pass them on to you as I never actually used them all.

Briggy's girl - they're called Snibs and I'm sure I have a packet of them somewhere. So before you go shopping t o get them, let me have a look please. Cause I dont' need them any more. No more bambinos for me, and Ty's way to big for them. I never used them on him but bought them cause I thought I might. If I can't find them you can often get them at a good chemist.

BG - for what it is worth, we used flats in the hospital and never used a cover. We never really used a cover at all until she was about a month old (WA summer, 40 degress + = baby on nappy only! lol)
And due the she volume of changes NBs have I honestly just didnt see the point in using. Of course, I had the CS so I wasnt really going out and about so didnt really have to worry too much about her wetting through the car seat. When we did go out I got some really cheap target pilcers. They are just like MCN covers, do up like disposables, but are not plastic like old fashioned ones. They are a bout $5 each and I found that 5 of those were quite sufficient to get us from NB to about 3 months without buying specific NB wraps or covers.... HTH anyway :)

BG- Like others have said, i bough snibs and never used them, Maz's NB covers, and my tiny ecobambino (from baby bunting) covers were SOOOOOOOO much better. I think they recommend getting snibs because the people that work in hospitals don't know that other things exist. DD was only 2.6kgs and the nappy and cover was massive, but still a whole lot better than trying to tie the snib in place! .................. Or perhaps i am just a 'snib' numpty! :p

If you google mini lala nappies you will find them easily enough. Not sure when the next stocking is, but if you sign up to the news letter they'll let you know.

Oh, and FJ, I noticed that you were contemplating getting one of the Beetlebums carriers, all I can say is DO IT WOMAN!!! Seriously. Mel's carriers are just superb (she made my custom wrap conversion) and mine is the most comfortable carrier I've used, and I've used a few ;) Not to mention that they are works of art. If I ever get another carrier it will be another one of Mel's. (Just doing my enabling duties for the day).

i "stole" my snib frm our hospital lol. i think i only needed 2 during my 3-day stay as they can b cleaner easily even if they get dirty, just wipe clean

Oohhhh I just put a bright green WC on James that my belly buddy sent me and I love it! So soft and lovely, I have a feeling it might be a bit big around his belly though. Will see how it holds up!

to everyone that has offered me snibs, you're all fantastic!! living so out of town has it's disadvantages at times, but has encouraged me to join this thread which has turned out great for me so thankyou all! i think the hospital suggest Snibs because they're easy to clean, and if they do get mixed up, it's going to be less of a drama than if they lose something spesh (like a Maz cover!)

just home from shopping - little Gremlin got spoilt big time (daddy is a teddy freak!) so i has to do some sorting out...
