BG for DS for newborn, snibs didnt fit him cs he was 4.6kg and the only ones we could find were 0000, and fit to 4kg (I am hoping you wont have this issue!!)
i used bummis pull on whisper pants, which cost roughly the same, and are a nicer fabric than the cheaper ones you can get at kmanrt - they also fit for alot longer than snibs.

waaaaay too many cute things - we managed to walk out with 3 teddy bears, two outfits, a wrap, some bibs, socks, blanket and some gaia baby stuff - all within about 20 minutes cos i was feeling so crap
didn't even think to look at waterproof covers for hospital (DOH!) - they were in the next aisle over and i really really really wanted to come home!

i love shooping when im have a crap day .. friday was awful for me , so i got 2 lou lous , 2 iishflys and bought 2 covers and a BP of Maz ..
now all i need is foamy wipes was and a few more AIO's and im nearly dome for the Meduim stage ..

Any opinions on tots bots?
I need to get this stash happening before May, and its just not ATM I only have 2 kisssaluvs and 2 ittibittis but lots of nice Maz covers :) Oh and about 2 dozen flat flannys that are mainly for hospital, chuck rags and emergencies lol
I wasnt planning go get more than 2-3 of any one kind but the tots bots trail pack @ 4 for $99 is looking mighty good to me.
Any other suggestions for NB. DS was good in swaddlebees and very baby. NO idea if he was wide or narrow crotch - VB were the best by far that we used.
id stick to what yoo have hon...maybe an AIO or 2 for night times changes cause your eyes are usually hanging out of your head and its quicker to change one rather then a nappy and cover......I used bugger all of my AIO's or AO2's :(..mostly prefolds here...they grow out of them way to quick anyway hun
tots bots are good on DD - didn't like them on DS though - he just wet through them so quickly they would bunch up and leak like nothing else. But they are fine on her (and I'm guessing its to do with the pressure of the pee - his squirts like a firehose and hers sorta leaks out.. lol) cos they are built exactly the same, so got nothing to do with the fit on the bod.

Rayray - the swaddlebees pockets are quite narrow (cos Charlotte can wear them really well). I got the trial pack of TBs when DD was about 3 months old....they are ok. I just got their basic fitteds, but they are not very absorbent at all so dont last very long, but are good for 'tween times. I cannot say that I would buy them again. Aside that, cant help you with NB nap's - we used flats until she was about 2 months old. I loved them cos we changed her so often nyway, they were just the easiest things cos I was at home by myself after the c/s.
What is the difference between the sized BGs and the OSFA v.3? Is there one? (obvious other than the whole size issue lol)

Oh forgot to add, depending on the brand I am buying small not newborn. If small starts at 4kg I'm getting that instead of nb where thats available.
Ok if thats the case...:) tots bots are alright..as Mel said...they arent as absorbent as some...get some BBH' bamboo's babe...get onto Lea and layby some. You'll atleast be able to use them right from 4 week until TT and it wont be wasted money IFYKWIM

Does anyone have both? I have the OSFA and love them - they have always fit bump really well from about 4 months through to now and only have 7 of them so thought I may get more of those, but I dont imagine her growing out of most mediums - she is sooo thin she still gets into NB tops lol. So am conflicted as to which to get.
I suppose I could just get some of each lol.
Rayray definitely go the smalls! Ruby is 4.5kg now and I'm about ready to say goodbye to the newborn sizes.
In fitteds I'm using VB's and itti bitti boos. AIO's I have are itti bittis, berry plush, bubblebubs and honeyboys.
BG your DH would have been so cute to watch getting those teddies for Gremlin!
Limey I have 1 sized BumG (it's a medium). I think it's a good nappy but there is the disadvantage of it not being multi fit like the pocket it. I can't remember why I didn't get anymore of them. I think it may have had something to do with availability at the time.
i think your Little Miss Ruby made him soooo much more enthused about getting the teddy bears Sam! i think if you'd been around still, Ruby might have scored one too! it was almost as cute as watching him hold your little girl - he's sooooooooo ready to be a daddy!
berry plush look nice, how do you like them? They are a bit more $$ than some I have seen but I LOVE the side snaps thing, thats whats steering me towards them
I also like the look of the BBH minkee ones as well as the BBBH.

Alexis - I have both - I use the one size for DD for daycare - I think they are really good, quite absorbent and dry quicker than my other AIO's. She is still in the smalls at 5 months too.

yep she does but in medium? might have to check out the sizing..i will be scraping it in to buy what I need in small.
mediums are probably good ray as you can use it as a cover or flats or as an AIO! more use for your money!!

Well Elise has had such a growth spurt int he last couple of days that she has outgrown the prefolds I was using just a couple days ago, which leaves me with a total of about 11 other nappies that fit her, considering I go through that in a day, I'm having to wash morning and night to keep up, the one time I am glad sunrise is at 4am so by the time I get myself sorted in the morning they are pretty much dry.
I have 7 odd in the mail I hope some come on Monday!!

Nope normal washing machine. I don't think its the way that its washing them, cos every other brand is fine - except for a WC one that is doing the same thing.:
mel - when did you buy those itti bittis that have shreaded? Mine are exactly the same. It can't be due to the washing machine or water, as we don't live together, and live in separate towns. I've had to send 2 back now which I bought about 6 months ago.

:o Mel! Mine just shredded yesterday JUST like that!! I thought it was MY fault, for leaving them a couple of days too long in the nappy bucket. Because a BBH shredded too...strange. I'm stumped...never in all my days....:think:

Question. How long will my BBH shed fluff for. I was wondering if I wash them again and maybe put them in the dryer on cool and see if that does the job. I have washed em twice so far and will do them again today then pack them to be moved. I sent a bunch of stuff down to my friend in melb so she could check em out and when she sent them back, the BBH had shed all over the BB wool cover :doh:
Luckily for me, I always only washed same with same IYKWIM so they didnt shed on anything else.
Also has anyone experienced colors "running" in the wash? I havent but am paranoid about it, so much so I have resorted to washing nappies individually (just for the first wash):rolleyes: Am I being a numpty?
PS yes, I realise i am also being a wally with water but we live on the g/coast, on tanks that are pretty much on constant over flow at the moment.........
