Do you reckon Id be right to make my own washing liquid for the MCNs? I have a basic recipe thats pretty neutral I think so it should be ok to use on the naps. What are the thing I should avoid ie softener?

IWardygirl - Your stash is great! Im a bit jealous! My 15 nappies pale in comparison to to them!
Tan, don't be jealous. This is my 2nd foray into MCNs. Last time I tried to do it with 13 nappies and it was hard. It was also autumn and I was in 1st Tri so I didn't last. This time I decided I wasn't going to hold back. I've got twice as many nappies as last time (or more!) Uncle Kevin (Rudd)'s money has helped gather my stash quicker than anticipated.

Gigi, thanks for info on pawpaw ointments. OMG at your medical history. I had no idea! I hope you have no ongoing issues from it.

    Random question thing? No idea

i dont get the whole random qn thing but excuse me if i end up postin 1 up. sorry for my ignorance in advance plz point out to me if i do ask 1 & i'll try not to do it again

all this talk of LS, im starting to think that mayb i should look into it too. ive only had to deal with bf poo so it goes straight into the machine.

we'll b flyin over to adel for a long weekend in feb for mil bday so am thinkin whether its feasible to do cloth for 4 days. my main concerns are:
    * what if it doesnt dry when we leave, then we'll have wet stinky nappies
    * will the soiled nappies stink out the rest of the luggage?
mebbe we might have to do sposies for the 2nd half of the trip, but i dont know...mebbe i should find out whether the caravan park we're stayin at have a dryer then my problems will be zeroed
on top of that, im still contemplatin whether i should take my nappies with us overseas. it'll take up considerable weight so mebbe not

finally took my nappies for their 1st time in the sun at our house, so glad to see stains gone. Pity they dont see much of it due to the road works near by...

teruteru - when the upgrade happened on the weekend some members were hit with a weird little glitch that has them asked a random question (what color is grass kinda thing) before they can reply... isn't to do with random qu's in here! i think all qu's are worth while - i'm learning a lot from others piping up and asking stuff i didn't realise i didn't know!

now a q from me - with moo goo - if you were doing an order to start out, would you get one of the sample packs first to scope it all out (have done this with gaia) or is it something that it's highly unlikely will react with bubba's skin? i'm wanting to get some stuff in advance (as you do) and am actually considering using the shower wash stuff myself (i read it wasn't scented) and maybe handwash - seeing i will end up washing hands a thousand times, and i have sensitive skin myself.... has anyone tried the stuff other than the soothing balm? recommendations? advice for or against? as a rule, i tend to use aromatherapy washes for myself, but i know they are relatively strong smelling and i don't want to overwhelm bubba...

Mel you may find stuff about her if you do a search on NC. Those threads tend to go missing though

Kitt3n Ruby is the same with wetting more after first change than overnight. So was Caleb till about 12 months.

Forgot to bring in nappies so I hope they don't have bugs on them. Being wet is the last thing on my mind with this weather
