Gigi theweewuns is out the other side of Melb, not far from me Emerald if you want to look it up.

With lanolsing, if you want a no fuss way about it go the sheepish grins stuff. The wool wash contains lanolin and then you get the spray on stuff too to boost it. It smells oh so devine Bit pricey though but it lasts for ages.

Sale hmmmmm...wanders off for a look

the only other Aust. stockist seems to be baby blossom

or you could fly to the US and buy it there! good excuse for holiday methinks

WaDRYGIRL - i love the Sapphire blue colour! noice! Congrats on having Ty in cloth so long.

dh is not best pleased about me and bilby flying over to melb, even when i pointed out the Virgin sale ($50 one way, dearer flight to get back). Now bilby is over two, have to pay for her as well. So nothing is booked, i would like some firm dates asap.

rayray - hope the stuff you want is still there today (at booroi), some excellent prices. Look down the menu on the left, there will be a link about "contact us" - use that to find out payment options.

Suse i didn't express my self well, i didn't get my finger RE stitched, it was stitched up ONCE after an accident with a knife. Supposedly the bit of finger that was reattached, has "taken" and healed ok, but it still feels so bizarre, like something, the weight of a false fingernail is sitting there on my fingertip, i am still not using that finger, feels too weird.

Rhyb - those welts, did they look a bit like "burn" marks? bilby got, several times, these burn marks, from "acidic teething poos" - the poo would literally "burn" her buttocks, immed she pooed. it was always at teething times. only thing to do was to watch her like a hawk, and change IMMED she pooed. never quick enough, so she got these awful burn marks on her tush. awww, poor petal.

Suse - those photos of the emerald auriel - very lush - and your little model is such a honey!

wotbb: i'm not even sure, dh did last change, but she has possum's pouches soaker on top, so must be wearing a fitted.

whether to attempt TT-ing knickers today? hmmm. or just put a gazillion pair on teddy and monkey? teddy was so good, when bilby wasn't looking last night, Teddy did a wee in the potty, dh and i came over, noticed Teddy's achievement, gave him a rousing applause, made a big deal of taking potty bowl to loo, tipping it in, offering bilby flushing honours, then washing teddy's paws. Such a clever bear.

Sitting on my hands to stop myself from buying anything - aaarrrgghhhhhhh .......

I think I need help. I have this strangle compulsion to constantly wash nappies so he can wear my fav's like the IB's! I plan outings around his nappies - hehe at the mo they are just sitting in the cradle he doesn't sleep in and I put the ones aside for going out, night time etc... and then if one is dirty that I love I am tempted to wash it just so he can wear it again! I need HELP I tell you.

WOJB: WC and Maz cover - I wish I had my camera - thank goodness DH is back tomorrow, my phone photos just don't do them justice!

Tan, me too! Whenever I wash I sort the clean nappies into piles for home, going out and sleeping. Then I have a huge debate about where to put the ones that fall into two or more categories. I've also been doing more frequent washes lately as DS had a bit of heat rash last week so I've been putting him in just fitteds or prefolds without covers, but I've only enough to last one day so I'm doing a wash every afternoon for the next day's nappies.

    Totally NOT nappy related but....

    Ashton is sitting!!!

    I am so proud

    YAY!

Ok nappies... well how annoying is it when you change them into their night nappy, and they poop in it straight away? Well you know what, it's double the annoyance when you change them, they poop so you change them again and then they do it again! And you only have 2 NN clean

Glad I'm not alone Eugenia!! I also have a friend coming over later so have the red IBput aside for just before she gets here!

I'm so pleased that both the BG and GK are working so well overnight - pretty full in the morning with boosting but no leaks and his bot is nice and clean. We went to the pool yesterday and I had him in cloth for the first time for a long trip like that and he did a MAMMOTH poo in his cow HH! I mean EVERYWHERE. As I was trying to clean him up it was on his hands, feet and legs, not to mention on me -I had to use so many wipes! My makeshift wetbag of pillowcase in plastic bag worked ok though!

Kat - Not dumb - just hormones and baby brain! I did the same thing with the WC I had the first time and he soaked it through!

tell ya...I was looking at the HH cow nappy but alas left it be..it has micro inserts which are a no go with me. BG if our worried about skin sensitivies be caresful of micro fibre cause it react's with my kids really horribly.

I am so turned of BG after fixing so many of them for people. The look of them is lovely when they are new but they remind me of a used shopping bag when their older and I dont think you should have to be fixing elastic in something that has cost so much money. Id say ive fixed about 20 - 30 of them for people now and that is the biggest turn of for me. That's just my opinion though..give me fitteds and a cover any day

Mel - I get the same prob with Mateauz...shiats in a NN and then the second one after that..must be making some more for him I think

waiting for fluffy mail ....a yard or 6 of minkee I cant wait to roll around in it

WOMB - WC NN - just got up and a maza fluro green dog cover

Aarrrgghhhh! I can't keep up with this thread.... and all the nappies I have to keep going to peruse!!

I don't even know what I was going to say when I replied anymore!!

Ummm... no Maz we don't get compression leaks in our IB, but sometimes the booster pokes a little out the leg hole and then we get seepage!! Nothing too bad though!

Yesterday I put Jett in to a Medium IB and discovered that I really can't adjust them right yet, on one setting they are just too tight (I can barely do them up!) and on the next setting down I discovered that all the wee goes shooting up his back!! Hehe Think I will have to stick to the smalls for a little while longer!

Gigi, the reason I need a low rise for Jett is that he has his fathers ribs - they kind of flare out at the bottom. And then his tummy sticks out ET style, so it pushes all the higher rise nappies down to his skinny minny hips where we end up with a massive gape cos it was adjusted for around his tummy! And then the result is the same as above!! See my issues? Big tummy and ribs, tiny hips, bum and thighs.... if only I could say that about myself! I don't have a problem with pockets, just DH likes the simplicity of grabbing a nappy off the line, in the drawer etc and just putting it on. With pockets I run the risk of not having them ready!! But willing to give them a go!

Ok I got sucked in by the sale too.... ended up purchasing a BG Organic and an Ecobubs to try.... wide crotches though so we'll see how we go. Jett tends to lose all movement in his legs when I put him in a wide crotch nappy! Keeps him quiet though!!

WOHB: Rockmelon IB d'lish in SMALL!!!!

    in love. lots of it.

missymoo - ooh I can't stand it when bubs does that! Especially when he's normally a regular first-thing-in-the-morning kinda kid...
Tan - we had a huge poosplosion in a HH a couple of weeks ago, at the same moment our borrowed car broke down on the side of the highway, after a hot day at the beach. Poo everywhere! Hired car seat too... It was 38 degrees and I only had a few cloth wipes left. Thankfully my mum keeps wet wipes in the glove box. The only time I've been happy to use them!

Big surprise here yesterday - DS did poo in the potty! He has been trying to pull his nappy off a lot lately, so I just took it off and sat him on the potty to see what would happen. Gave him a book to look at, and bingo! One less nappy to wash!

WOHB: BumG, but he's pulling at it, so off to the pot we go!

Maz - I wish I didn't have so many BumGs now... but I lived in a tiny apartment with no sunlight when I started out with MCN, and it was a big priority that our nappies would dry quickly (also used lots of flats). No probs with the elastic yet (it's only been 6 months or so, tho) but they need a strip wash NOW. I hate that they get full of lint in the tabs, and the lycra pills.

Awww no Maz - well at least I know where I can get my BG fixed when it packs it in. I can't get my head around fitteds and covers - I use the ones I have but the pockets and AIOs are working so well for me right now, maybe I will change my mind as he gets bigger.

ETA: The HH held up beautifully with the mammoth poop it was just the process of changing it that we had issues!

gigi- check tiger airways, they might b cheaper cos melb-adel $24 so for return tickets for the 3 of us is $156.
