looking at moo goo site - think i'll wait a couple of weeks to order - want to get the moo goo that everyone uses on baby bum, and it's out for the moment - i also have been having more dermatitis on my scalp lately (and refuse to use the tar i used to use - it stinks!) so i'm gonna give their shampoo and conditioner a go. it looks exxy when you look at the numbers, but it's no more exxy than your average shampoo in the supermarket!
bg - my dh has had the worst dandruffy/dermatitis stuff forever - tried everything.... then came moo goo. one use and it was clearing - two and its all gone! great stuff........

bum g q - do you use both inserts on little ones, or just the newborn booster? i have been using both, maybe thats why i dont like em on her?

fluffy mail - 3 swaddlebees one size fitteds and a cute tooshie - how is the cute tooshie osfm?

wohb - pink bum g with swaddlebees booster instead of bum g one

MAZ - sorry to hear about your week long headache - ouch!

BRIGSY - congrats on finding out you're having a girl!

TAN - why fitteds and covers?

    - two lines of defense to get great pootainment value - when the poo is runny, explosive and goes in all directions - wonderful for the nb/small phase, in our case, lasted well into the medium stage too!

    - easy to boost, when your child outwets the nappy, and then you try to boost INSIDE the fitted, and then they outwet that, THEN you have the option of OUTER boosting as well, another thing you can do with a fitted, that you can't do with other styles. AThis is a big plus with fitted night nappies too.

cos if you add TOO much boosing INSIDE the nappy, you get leg gape (leaks). so you boost OUTSIDE the nappy, but INSIDE the cover. that's outer boosting. avoids the leg gape issue.

    - in summer, at home, once you are pst the runny poo stage, you can put your child in JUST a fitted around home. As soon as you notice they need changing, you change them, so this is another way to help them get ready for TT-ing (and avoid nappy rash too).

    - when your child has nappy rash, a higher proportion of fitteds (than other nappy styles) have no stay dry inner, so fitteds are a good thing to put on a child with nappy rash, to help them get over it (to avoid synthetic fabrics against their skin). There are exceptions, fitteds that DO have staydry inner though.

COMPUTER GLITCHES - last 24hours, i've been getting the message "you can't post your message cos it's too short", when i go to post my message - which as you know by now, IS NEVER FIVE WORDS OR LESS!!!! LOL. (i'm on a Mac, using one of the OSX, using Firefox as my browser).

ALI - that's great you have a daycare place for Emma too. Will Sarah and Emma be in same place, at same time? I fit a childcare day's worth of mcn easily in a baby beehinds wetbag (for one child).

    Saram sounds very busy.

I was without tv or stereo for the last week. ended up buying a clock radio for bilby's room, have got it on radio national for her, hoping the classical music will calm her for sleep. At first i thought losing tv and stereo was AWFUL, but then i realised, i got more done, i felt calmer, i played more with bilby, and most important change, on the weekend, we went out both days. SPent most of Sat at a commuity pool (went in three times) and on Sun, late afternoon, i drove us to a playground at the beach (Semaphore, Ali and Beatrix), bought fish n chips and i sat down on playground grass while she rode her three wheeler scoot along thingy, around the playground. So having no telly and stereo for a week, did me the world of good. I still spent way too much time on the internet i'm sure!

dh arrived back midnight last night, first thing this morning, had "fixed" the telly, stereo (he has them set up so diffifcult, he is the only person who can work them). Put on four hours of Charlie adn Lola for bilbs. Argh! he doesn't understand moderation.

frog again - Im on IE on an IBM and don't have a quick reply option anymore - odd!

Kitten - I know I am a noob but I use the single insert on the BG for James during the day folded to the front and at night I add the extra booster. He is on the medium setting though because he is a boof. Getting weighed on Thursday - my little man is 3 mths old already waaaaaaahhhhh.

in my bumg i've been using a bamboo prefold wrapped around the smaller insert, i find it works really well.

Who prefers sewn in IB's? anyone?
I'm glad I brought one to try cause Elise is getting leg gape in the snap ins but the sewn in is all good, no leaks or poo down the legs.

Gigi - I know you know but you really are a gem! I am saving your post for when I have issues in the future and need to know what to do!

BG - Bummer babe. Hopefully they will sort it for you quickly! I got a small magicall instead of a med in one of my orders but am going to exchange it for an IB instead - I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I prefer the sewn in right now - I put the snap in one today and I matched up the coloured snaps but the trifold insert didn't seem to sit right for some reason with the other bit that goes over the top = not sure what Im doing wrong.

don't worry i'm a noob too and get the same thing happening, i find you just have to stretch the nappy out a bit for it to sit properly,

ali- thx for the heads up, now jst gotta convince DP to let me use cloth in adel (not like he's doin the work anywyz!)
kitten- i only used the nb insert until i got leaks thats when i realise what the other insert was for (idiot i know) i use the magicall bamboo insert if i need to boost it
tan- dragons on the medium setting too!!
gigi- thx for explainin abt fitted as i nevr saw the reason behind it...mebbe i should look into gettin some for summer then, but the smell...

moogoo user- need a lil convincin before i go buy some. DP has really bad dermatitis on his hands, would it help? he's on really strong cream (novasone if u were wondering) but does hardly anything, think he's immune to it...also all the info is too overwhelming and i mustve missed it but which would b best suited for the bottom end?

not really nappy related but where does every1 get their amber from? im lookin at gettin it frm the states but am i gonna b payin more in the end cos the exchange rate? im not too familiar with paypal but is the FX rate on that reasonable?

...ive nevr had any random qn, they sound pretty funny but must b annoyin if u get it all the time

i don't like the snap ins at all (we have 2 of them) sewn in IB are my faves
