ahhhhh thanks...me thinks my brain is fried today :)
Ali, sorry to hear Em's reacting to the moo goo. Ty's intolerant (no longer classified as allergic) to dairy - proteins - but seems to be doing ok with the moo goo.
BG - I pray that you, your family and your property remain safe.
Maz, I pray that you get a cool breeze to keep you sane.
Ty's been in MCN's all afternoon. It's been so lovely to see his little clothed butt wobbling around instead of a horrid sposie.
Off to put Blake to bed. Ty's down. He looks so cute with just a cloth bum and a tshirt. It's too hot for his grobags despite the air con.
Cool dreams everyone.
Rachel, so how did Ty go from allergic to intolerant? I'm curious, I've been thinking about trialing Jovie and seeing... but I'm scared. Both girls have started reacting worse to soy products, which is scary for me.
Ahhhhhhhh Ds1 is way impressed with his Sandman NN  He put it on his pillow ready to pop on tonight at bedtime. From what Ive seen they are very well made, might have to consider nabbing the one on B4B for Ripley.
And then thats it til the mazalicious stocking, cause I have a very exxy pram on layby at Babies Galore that I absolutely have to pay off. So smack my bum if you hear me talking about buying anything MCN related (well except a LS cause I am sick of hand rinsing poo nappies and using 100 blobs of sanitiser to get the poo smell off my hands heh) :whip:
ETA- Ok before you break out your whips for smacking my botty, I just have one word to say.............BLING! So as you can see it is a completely neccesary purchase and there is one s/m size left if someone should happen in here and see this post before anyone wakes up tomorrow in a hyena mood lol
BG - Bless you, darl, I hope everything's going ok at your place. Praying the cool change makes it your way, and blows things in the right direction out there. Curse the firebugs. Absolute stupidity. Be safe!
Gigi - How come when you're finally coming to Melbs, I have someone staying in my bungalow?? Oh, but it's a horrid little sweatbox at the moment and even I wont go in there... So, hopefully you've got all your bookings and stuff sorted now. I know when we flew to Qld a few weeks ago DS was great on the plane (and he's an intense, "high-needs" kid) but the change facilities are so miniscule it's ridiculous. The flight to Melbourne is short and hopefully the cabin crew will be nice and help keep Bilby entertained. Don't worry too much if Bilby wont feed for the take-off or landing, the pressure in the cabin is more problematic for little bubs. You can rub the front of the ear for her if it hurts, or make her yawn or swallow. DS didn't show any distress at all. My XH worked for Qantas, and my DP worked for Emirates, and I have friends who work in Customs. You really shouldn't have any issues with laundry powder, as long as it's in your suitcase, not carry-on bag!! Sheesh, I travelled overseas with my entire knife bag (28 chef's knives) and nobody said a thing. Just don't go sprinkling it around the terminal, or mentioning "anthrax"! :)
Car seats, if you haven't sorted one yet, can be hired. I went thru a company called ABC nursery hire, they were great and will have a clean, virtually new car seat in your hire car waiting for you of you've booked one. Three weeks cost me $60. I took way too many MCN with me, though, but I vac-packed them all. Only prob was the bag broke the day before we were due to leave, but I got another one cheap, and got them all home again, plus 3 extra Wild Child NN (and a sachet of laundry powder!).
So anyway, when are we meeting up??? huh??
We don't have A/C and our power went out yesterday from 4.45pm till after 8. GHASTLY. I spent 4 hours at the mall enduring the worst kind of muzak, and I had to change DS in the horrible parents room which was being kept a toasty 28 degrees and the bins were overflowing with sposies - URK!! Then I get home to a baking house and dead plants, open the door, turn on the fan and it immediately stops. No power. DS was screaming by then. Went to run a cold bath for him, turned on the cold tap and burned myself with the scalding hot water that came out! I was screaming then! Had to wait an hour and a half before DP got home, and we ended up driving around in the car for ages to keep cool. All I can say is that I'm so glad DS isn't teething so hardcore at the moment, and all his nappies were clean, coz the nappy buckets were practically melting in the laundry.
oh, um, nappies, um... I got fluffy mail. The HH keyrings are sooo cute!
WOHB: sweaty chilli HotBot sandman and a red fleece cover.
BG - glad to hear you are safe, so sorry to hear there are such morons in the world. I hope your house is saved hun........ but made me smile to know you saved all your MCN's
maz - sending you lots of cool vibes today babe, and everyone else in the heat waves!
ali - your poor lil one, its such a shame, moogoo is a true "miracle cream", DD1 now uses it to relieve her mozzie bites
anna - bling, WHAT BLING?! there is none, i would have happily hyened! I really want some more bling, not just the bling factor they are just GREAT nappies..... i check that site every couple of days and it seems i have just missed out? :(
:angry:ANGRY KITT3N:angry: here..... i got a letter from our strata demanding that we do not have the nappies drying on our balcony (strata by laws state that washing must not be hung on balconies) but FFS there are no common washing lines on the property, you can barely see them unless you were really scanning to LOOK for washing (dare I say MRs Mangle on the other side is the one who complained). SO now I have to send in a letter requesting permission to have my nappies out. FFS. FFS!!!! Any tips on what i can put in my letter ladies? I will have to move if they make me do this!
WOHB - loveybums organic/maz cover
grrr typed a huge post then DS turned the computer off !! anyway check out the link !! PM if your interested , i prolly wont reply till later this arvo as im just about to leave home now ..
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...hp?product=189
quick question ... can you share nappies , between cousins ???? Nephew is 18 mths and DD is 5 months ... we are going away next week and dont want to take an over supply of nappies .. there is a washing machine and dryer so washing is not a problem .. is it dirty to share if they are not siblings ??
Kitten - I just happened to accidently head to WC webpage instead of somewhere else so I had a squiz and nearly fell off my seat when I saw new bling lol There was two left when I was browsing, the mortal kombat s/m (which I nabbed) and the spider s/m. There were others but they were already gone, really could not believe my luck, I figured it was divine intervention
NaNa - ah I hate power outages and we get them alot up here. We've done the old cruising down mainstream to keep cool cause its always bloody stinkin hot up here. Hope it doesnt happen again! Yay for fluff too!
Lea - I dont think its dirty for cousins to share nappies, I mean you wash them after every use so its hardly like putting a soiled one on another kid!
Lea - I'd share mine with my nephews if we went away and my SIL ran out.
BG - hope all is well darl.
Kitt3n - that sucks dude.. just sucks...
Nelle - DS has been off dairy for a week now - well milk anyway (still a little bit of yoghurt and cheese) and his poo yesterday was nearly normal.. it was fantastic to not have it spread everywhere on the nappy !!!!!!
No nappy news here.
WOAB: BBH & Bummis cover
WOMB: Bubblebubs
damn it!!!! i want BLING!!!!!
not much nappy related news here :(
shellsbells...fluff on its way :)
WOJB ~ turquoise IB
ladies, if anyone is looking to try anew nappy check out the "pop in" nappy. i got one to try, and omggg (oh my golli golli gosh) its fab......... absorbent, poo containment and soft on both the inside and outside!
i wish i bought these and not bum g's now
wohb - was the pop in but got super splash of bf poo. now we are trialling her peapod
ETA - just ehard more about the fires down in melbourne, thinking of you BG and hoping you and your home is safe......
Haven't heard from Gigi yet but I'm assuming all is well so far. I hope they've settled in well and are able to visit MIL without problems.
I want bling too. I randomly check the WC site but haven't been able to score. I guess I checked at the wrong time! Doh!!!
WOHM: Lime green IB
Put piccies up of Jett in his Sandman and Rip in the HB sherpa fitted with Maz cover I stole from newbies med sz collection in the MCN gallery :)
Hi gals. Remember me LOL! It's been a while. As it turns out, DS2 has managed to TT himself without any fuss. He's doing really well actually, he rarely has an accident. So I really don't belong here anymore :(
But I have found a reason to visit LOL! T still wears a swimmer nappy and has outgrown the one he's in. Do any of the MPMs sell good swimmer nappies? I love monkey doodlez but it doesn't have to be that. I'd rather buy from an MPM if I can.
Ok, that's my brief visit for now. Hope you are all going well.
hi ladies
went to spotlight today to get some microfleece to make some liners, but they didnt have any??? anyone know where else I can get it?
BG - hope all is ok with the fires
are any of the Melb ladies meeting up with Gigi? i'd love to meet some of you!
Oh, is there a thread about meeting Gigi? Or is anyone meeting her? I reckon I could get away after church tomorrow, if someone else was.
Kellie - give me a pm hon and I'll send ya a cut
Nell - I cant make it :( its just to far to travel in one day in the heat..Im so down on it to :(
I got a text from BG -
Meeting was a waste of time...we probably still have a house but it potentially has no roofdvd to spot fires abd water damage inside.
thats all we could get. No access to town til at least tomorrow. possibly later. Fires expected to smoulder for weeks.
:o
then this one
Just spoke to local police. They think our street ok. C going to go and check
BG honey I just hope that YOUR alright hon. Thoughts are for you guys atm!
BG i hope everything is ok with your house
hope BG is ok
* what is MPM?
we had a power-out for a few hr here last nite, so glad it came back on later though not like some homes. I shouldve went online after power came back on cos i just missed out on paying for my grad attendance. Will call uni on monday & see whether can work out something. :(
Dragon did a big poo this morning that leaked out of his nappy & onto the bouncer. DP jumped & went to the other side of the room. Poor baby is teething and getting a lil bit of rash. He's been unsettled lately so hope the amber will help when it comes.
Im gonna "try" stay off the comp so i can study. 1st exam on 12th eekkk!
Thanks Maz hun.

BG, my thoughts are with you hun.
i'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!
still on heightened alert, but it's not as bad now - the cooler weather today has helped to bring it under control. the fire front is now on the other side heading for other small towns. so many homes gone, many of them belonging to friends. it will be something we never forget.
where we can we'll pitch in to help - the rumour mill has started (one of mum's neighbours told one of his friends, who happens to be friends with my intellectually disabled aunt) that we had lost our home. he has no idea where we even live. it disgusts me that people do this!
part of our yard has been burned - but no plants lost, just a heap of cooch grass! no big loss. fences in tact so all good. DH is about to go and patrol again and then we might settle for the night!
So glad to hear you are safe and sound and the house is intact BG!
I hope your friends who have lost their homes can salvage something, I am sure the community will pull together for all involved. Sending some cool vibes your way, you are all in my thoughts.
:) So long as you and Gremlin are all A OK then everything else can be replaced over time.
And hey, if it got rid of some cooch grass, that aint a bad thing!
BG - what an ordeal to go through, gosh, so pleased your home and everything is safe! You will lots to tell bubba about the year of their birth!
Can I just say I hate training pants without snaps! DD (who has been very good) did a disguisting poop today in the only pair of trainers I have without snaps - yuck yuck double yuck!
Mantaray - what size swimmer are you after, I have a 12-14kg turquoise here that will be needing a new home VERY soon.
Christy - I noticed on our soy it says it uses something derived from corn - are your girls salicylate sensitive? could this be contributing? I have been wondering about this with Ari and Xander on soy
Also - just wanted to clarify in my previous giveaway post -message about donations was a j/k I hope I didn't make anyone feel awkard.
Sarah, he's 13kgs now so that would do us for a while. Feel free to PM me.
BG, so glad to hear that your house is ok. I can imagine how sad it must be with so many houses lost.
BG so glad to hear your ok, been thinking about you all night after watching footage on fires on news *hugs* Hope it continues to stay that way!
BG glad all is ok with you hun!!!
NOW...women...i now know why i wash EVERY day.... i missed one day of wasshing and i got up this morning and did Jacks washing...and the whole line is FULL!!!!!
WOJB ~ lots of cream for his sore butt and a chocolate IB
Hey all remember me?? Ive been in hospital for the last week with gall stones and pancreantitis (sp?) and only just discharged myself. Ive missed out on alot and Im gonna try and catch up but O my Ive missed my BB!!
In cloth news I just bought an itti bitti snap in and a snoozywuns red and black night nappy today so will be stalking the postie from now on.
WOHB: red peapod
Well ladies I have just ventured into cloth... as per the wonderful advice I received I am bidding on 14 terry flats that end mid next week and also bough 6 unbleached pre-folds from the Nappy Bucket
So all in all I may be starting my collection with 20 nappies - from what I understand that should get me through day 1 PMSL
I am hoping to make purchases of not only nappies but other things that I can throughout the pg as most people will do to even the costs out so it is not one big shock expense!
Oh I can't wait until my first parcel arrives - I am storing my baby related stuff at MIL (well one day she will be) house until I am least 12 weeks - just a little superstition I have encountered
ryhb- welcome back :) hope u feeling better now
tk- hope everything goes well with ur pg & hope u find ur way ard the wonderful world of cloth LOL we werent allowed to buy anything until after 8mths due to superstition!!
*Sigh* Why is it that the cyclone warning comes not even 12 hours after DH has flown out? My backyard hasn't had a chance to drain properly yet so I might end up with mud flinging itself around  But having never seen a cyclone before I have no idea what to expect!!
BG - So glad your house is OK. Getting rid of cooch is not such a bad thing though ;) Hoping your friends have somewhere to stary while their homes are rebuilt. So typical about the rumor mill .
Sarah - I will call you. Sorry I havent already.
I now finally have a dishwasher!!! Only been asking for 4 years!!! So that reduces what I have to do standing with my pelvis the way it is.
Em's rash is now starting to clear up, she has one spot on her leg where it is worst, and that is pretty much all that is left.
WOEB: Toolbox CT
WOSB: Green coral fleece CT.
Teruteru, I wouldn't be able to handle no purchases until 8 months - full respect luv... the superstition I have encountered means that I can buy but it can't be in my house until after 12 weeks so MIL place seemed the perfect spot seeing as they went out and bought stuff the day after we told them he he he
Alioops, hope the cyclone steers clear from you
eugiena - can you pm me if ur lurking ??
alioops did you get my email?? i sent it just before my puter crashed so maybe you didnt ..
got 3 GK's 2nd hand at the markets today !! cant wait to take em on hloiday im surpriesed they are softer than i thought!! got 3 for $25 and 3 sunshine tots bamboo prefolds to boost them 3 for $22 as i had a $5 off voucher !! she is soo sweet that girl who makes them ,and she just downthe road from my plcew  i live near a few MCN makers .. i think there are 5 with in 40 mins from me !!
gtg cranky sweaty baby on my lap
WOGB - bbb with red cover
Ali, we've bunkered down here too and TBH Im hoping we see atleast some crazy winds and mega rain cause Im getting a bit sick of being warned, panicking (as first timers to cyclone season do) only to have it not eventuate lol Im sick of using my dryer too so Im hoping Cyclone Ellie send some of this rain to the lower states to give them a break from fires and extreme heat and brings our sunshine back.
Rhyb, glad to see you back, was wondering where you'd gone off too! Hope your feeling even better now. I nearly outbid you on the Snoozywuns but when I saw your username I backed away ;)
Welcome to the crazy addictive world of MCNs Tk :)
WOJ(sleeping)B - erm a haute pocket of some colour.....
WOR(sleeping)B - HH pirate pocket.
tk- 8mths n not shopping for the bub was really really hard haha. we kinda sneaked in a thing or 2 without the ILs knowing. its the oldies that said it so we have to listen *sigh*
Er ok have a question before I forget AGAIN to ask it......
Jett has pee'd through the Sandman TWICE in a row. Ive got the snap-in booster and an extra, yet he still manages it. Its preloved so definately nice and washed-in. Is it maybe cause Im not putting a cover over it (Didnt cross my mind to ask if it needed one heh) or should I add another booster and see how we go?
According to Dh Rip apparently pee'd through a BBH fitted and Maz cover he had on overnight although Im thinking that may be cause he left him in it to have breaky etc as he'd pooped as well (which usually comes after an hour of being up).
Anna - It wouldn't been so darn scary if I wasn't on my own with the girls. I can handle a bushfire on my own (living on a vineyard in Adelaide in bushfire season does that to you) but I don't know what to expect or where to go if something does happen IYKWIM. I have brought everything in the yard under shelter and the swings are well pegged down, but I dont know if that is enough. Good thing I filled up my tank yesterday!!
Lea - Yes, but I had to buy 3 new tyres this week to pass the roadworthy on the car that is for sale. That took a big chunk out of my budget. Will work something out with you.
I really should do some washing. I so can't be bothered right now though. I guess if I use some water then the dam might have some room made to help with the flooding we are expecting
ETA: Anna - Try using a wool soaker or a cover over the sandman. Most night nappies do need covers.
Ali - Id offer our place but we're in a worse spot than you lol I wouldnt worry too much, doesnt seem to be anything major to worry about just going to rain and rain some more.
Ok forget I asked about the Sandman, they need a cover (duh). Going to have to see what I can find that fits over it cause they are chunky nappies!
Anna - the sandman needs a cover, especially if you have a champion weer like you seem to have! a wool soaker/shorties/longies is your best bet
Just got home from a fabulous afternoon with Gigi, DH and Tiny Bilby. We had a great time - they're all so lovely. We talked for hours and the only reason I had to leave was because schools back tomorrow and Blake starts kinder tomorrow so I want the kids home, fed, bathed and into bed before it got too late.
MELBOURNE GIRLS: if anyone is interested in catching up tomorrow, she would love to meet you. She doesn't have internet at the motel so either post on here, PM me, or for those who know, SMS me so I can let her know that you're interested and I can swap mobile numbers with you for her if you dont' have it. She left her mobile charger at home so they're using DH's phone. We caught up at the Doncaster Hotel, only because the park we were going to play at was too hot with the equipment in the sun all day. It worked well and might be an option for tomorrow if it suits anyone.
WOHM: Bits for bots cowprint fitted with a long neck Maz cover
