I got mama mail today!! 3 HH regulars.
I am so impressed with Sarah today!! She has this thing about animals, she won't touch them!! So when we went to the pound today they wouldn't let us take Alf home until she had warmed up to him a bit, and by the end of the time that we were conditioning her to him (about and hour) she was feeding him by hand, but still wouldnt pat him. So Alf is in the backyard now and she will have to go out with me to feed him and throw his ball, so she gets more used to him. He doesnt bark either, and is so friendly and gentle. He only jumps in the air when he is excited and it is a bigger person going out there.

I had mateauz in his carrier while we went to lincraft :rolleyes: (50% material girls) and I got stopped by 2 different woman telling me how wonder it was to see a mother carrying her baby this way :D and then they noticed he had his 2 up cover on and asked for alooksi aswell :dance: made me feel great after the last 2 days ive had with Wilhelm

I was sitting looking at Maz's preview stuff on FB so I got my hubby to sit down and look at them with me. He was mighty impressed with your work Maz honey. I think I better buy some on the 14th so he can admire them up close.

I'm still in a bit of denial and hoping my 19wk scan will be a bit of a reality check :rolleyes: Tend to be a bit superstitious about bringing things home for a new bub since my loss, but I will probably feel more comfortable about it after our scan....don't mind me, just a bit nuts :redface:

little laaaaa has gone through 8 nappies already today, squirt poo baby!! i have decided to keep the ones i ws going to sell - i have popped them away with the large size nappies. if we have more babies and i dont return to full time work i wont be able to afford nappies, so i best hold onto them.

mateauz has worked out how to undo the velcro on his HB and BB......so he is now walking around twirling his slong and thinking its ace!!!!

I found an ants nest in my display cupboard that holds my antique camera's..in my bedroom...right near my material stash!!!!! have cleaned it all and now waiting for most of the material to dry! daem it! I HATE ANTS!!!!! BUT i did find me some cow flannel hidden in my stash...hehehhehehhe

Maz - my DS has worked out how to take his velcro nappies off too :wall: I had to put one of your covers over his BumG the other day...that stopped the little bugger in his tracks :rofl: He actually managed to get an IB undone the other day too but only one side (and luckily I caught him quickly cause he'd pooed in it!!) but I think that was more of a fluke. Shouldn't be much of an issue though cause I"m hoping to fill his stash with IBs and use all the BumGs for the new bub.

I hope you don't mind me crashing your thread. I'm new to BB and also new to Cloth!
I've been reading your threads for a little while now so I thought it was time I joined and stopped stalking you all.
I bought DS two Itti Bitti D'Lish nappies a few weeks ago and he instantly loved them. My original idea was to use them around the house only but I've found him asking me to put them on him all the time now saying "ta" whenever he sees them.
I do however find them quite expensive and with all that's going on in the world at the moment we're not in the position to go buying lots. So I've begun making my own! Lots of inspiration from the BB cloth making thread and this one so thank-you ladies. They're not fantastic by any means but they contain his poops and don't leak and that's all that matters :)
katones your not the only one :( Ashton had a temp from pretty much late yesterday arvo (his needles were at 1pm) and is still miserable and hot :( Dymadon ALL day and he is just crying, sooking and sleeping. Oh and feeding a fair bit too. Poor bub. Must be the 4 month ones cos he was fine with the 2 month ones :(

So today I finally did my nappies. I have been SO lazy the last 3 days and not washed at all! But it was hot today, and I had a clingy whingy Ashton so wasn't going anywhere spectacular so that was what I did... Got sick of reaching for the 'crappy' nappies that I never use.

i took five years to conceive bilbs, and many many times during the pregnancy, i felt like a fraud, like i wasn't really pregnant. It wasn't until she was earthside, that i really believed she was real.

Proud Mama moment: in her bath today, bilby was wiggling around, clearly trying to hold a wee, so dh put her on the potty, and for the first time, instead of wiggling to get up immed, she actually sat there, and did a wee in the potty! we clapped her like crazy people, did high fives. She got two star stickers and a baby cone of organic icecream as her reward. and got to flush the loo. So she's very chuffed with herself.

I just saw animal backpacks at a aust site that sells teddybears mainly (e-teddies), the brand is ZEBRA CROSSING. email me for a link if you have trouble finding it. they have kids backpacks in crocodile, dog, COW, ELEPHANT, lamb, all sorts of animals. Unfortunately the cow one is also PINK maz. but maybe they get other colours too, who knows.

Yeah Rip has started grabbing his nappy when its full too but I just ignored it cause Jett does it as well but no sign of TTing there *sigh* Might have been luck but we'll pop him on the potty before bathtime everynight and who knows. OMG imagine if they trained at the same time - Jett and Rip - one part of me swoons at the thought but another sooks for the loss of MCNing them hehehe

Just found out my LS cost me more than the $80 I paid for it. I went down to the ABA shop - 30 mins from here to get it - and got a $143 speeding fine on the way home. :wall:That equals about 4 or 5 nappies that I can't buy :(
Not much happening here. Trying to avoid the heat. Apparently its about 46 outside here. I went out to get my washing off the line cause it's looking too smokey. Fortunately no nappies out there. They were done yesterday.

Mel, I think your situation was very similar to what is going on here, have ordered some bamboo velour AND raw silk for liners & will was everything yet again with no detergent. As for wipes might just make some dodgey ones out of flannelette as I don't have the $$$ to buy any cloth ones atm... wish me luck ladies!!

Anna - Nah, it was nae the dettol, that was like a 'last resort' kind of wash, the red was happening anywho.
Ugh, it's cooled down some outside but it's still stoopid hot inside..... my kingdom for an air conditioner!!!
WOPB: What else but a sposie?! :( (I cannot believe all the time I took being able to use cloth for granted... it's like when you're sick & have to stay in bed & you regret not getting out & doing more when you were well, that's what I'm like now with MCN!!!)
Have you noticed how when a baby is wearing sposies they smell differently? DS has been in sposies yesterday (long story) and I noticed I can smell the plastic and chemicals of the nappy much more strongly than his sweet baby smell. I don't like it!:(
Anyway, off to hospital I go (that's the long story).
