Sorry Mel, Gigi has to come up here, cos it is warm enough to show off nappies ALL YEAR ROUND!!!! Enen when it is wet we want shorts and singlets so Gigi and Bilbs would be in their element here with no need to cover that gorgeous fluffy butt ever ;)
aww Gigi. how did you go about the hostel? what a dreadful situation to be in atm . if you need anything we have spare rooms ... up in sunny qld . the stress will be over soon enough and you can look back and think "i survived that dark patch" and it will be in the past xxx
MissyMoo , my WC leaks like nuffin else .. its crap im hoping more washing will sort it out . its a M/L on a 5mth old and she isnt a big wee er so i dont know why its leaking .. its annoying . i paid heaps for it !!!
well i was lisetening the raido last night and both DH and I were crying . this crisis is so heartbreaking .
aw Gigi I hope everything works out in the best way it can for you.
Does your DH run a business or just have a normal tax return - if its a normal one Id get his group certificates and do it for him and make him sign it. Someone I know is in a similar position re 07/08 becuase their ex hasnt and refuses to do his tax return and its not nice.
Gigi - the only way they'd ask you to start paying pack an 07/08 debt for FAO for non-lodgement is once more than a year has passed - they start sending reminders (businesses have til the end of March to lodge so can't expect it before then) and dont tend to raise non-lodger debts until at least november of the following year (so Nov this year is the earliest for last years NLD's).
nothing much happening nappy wise here - too busy just trying to stay on top of life at the moment. have been stalking Mel's store, looking for bling on WC - but not buying much. everything at the moment has just been too full on - plus DH has been home a couple of weeks so we're running on zero money (it's a novel experience - yay for being organised in advance - and double yay for paying excess on the mortgage for the past x number of months so we could hold off on payments to actually survive!! yay!!)
DH back at work now, baby not due for another 16ish weeks - i'm sure i'll get more.... will have to look again at Maz sale and work out what i neeeed (nothing!) vs what i want (lots!) vs what i'm actually gonna try to get (hmmm too hard!)
has anyone heard if bg is safe?
gigi - thankyou so much for the silk info, i think i might just buy them pre made from bsl, they are cheap enough there ($2.50 each) by the time you cut up a 100x100 metre piece i think that price is quite reasonable. if you need anything, anything at all please let me know. I know how hard it is to leave your partner - especially when a little one is saying they want daddy to tuck them in every nght. It is so hard at first babe but it does get better, and easier, and if it has cometo the point where you feel you must leave, then leaving can only make your future brighter and easier :grouphug:seems like you could go travelling all over the east coast - ali in qld, me here in syd, mel bel in melb - you have a place to stay everywhere!
where is the info about this nappy drive? I would like to give some.... ali maybe you can give that elephant one to the drive, I am sure the poor ladies affected by the fires are in much more need than i am (even though it is an elephant!).
on the WC front - I have a s/m bling and it fits absolutely perfectly, and i have a m/l which she wore yesterday without any troubles too (and was soaked by the time it got changed) I have a few more on order so I think they are good for us.
got another iishfly order yesterday, unfortunately some of the snaps didnt snap together, but annette emailed me back very quickly to say its easily fixed, just ahve to send it back.
and finally got in contact with my seller on B4B - bling and embroidered BP on its way!!!
thinking of everyone affected by mother nature at this nasty time - and hoping the morons who started the fires suffer for the murders they have committed.
Gigi- hun i so wish i could help you out with space... if i had a spare room i would in a heart beat.. but i dont :( the house still isnt finished, should be the end of this month though.
As for the hostel.. im pretty sure they have machines.. it like a large house where a bunch of mums insimilar situtations live, so self contained.
umm sorry dont have much more time to reply anything else.. had my head in bucket most of yest and now i have to do kindy and day care run.
i'm safe hun - but on high alert and tend to be reading more than posting at the moment
the main fire (Churchill-Jeeralang) locally is about 8k's as the crow flies, currently heading in the other direction. it has been confirmed it was deliberately lit, and the fire bugs are still at work lighting more (were seen yesterday i believe, but dont think they were caught). this fire is very close to my family, so we're all very edgy - close friends got trapped in their home yesterday with flames within 50m of them before it changed direction. others had to evac due to the same front. DH is back at work, so i'm watching fires all over the place, and feeling very antsy as, if anything happens out here again, my "safe" places are also under threat and he is just too far away to help. am also watching the other fires for family up near the border, and knowing DH has to head into that area-ish today is very stressful.
we've not been through anything like Ange though - i can only imagine how hard it's been for her family at this time. i know how much the unknown is messing with me, can't imagine if it had gotten worse. we were lucky - the fires hit here a week before the rest of VIC - if it hadn't, our town would be another that was levelled - there just aren't enough resources to protect everyone. i am just feeling physically ill as we KNOW these were deliberately lit - the little bleeeeeeeeeeeeps were at it again yesterday
Hi all,
I am so sorry to hear about those of you affected by the fires and the floods. I have you all in my thoughts and hope that all turns out ok.
Just a quick post from me this morning to let you all know my first bit of nappy mail arrived last night!! Unbleached pre-folds from the Nappy Bucket... I am so excited!! Now just have to figure out how to actually fold them but I have many many months ahead of me to figure all of that out!
I have a few bids in for items on B4B and have paid for all of the auctions I had won... now to await their arrival. I also placed an order for wipes and breast pad with Maz's store... some think I am insane for preparing now but alas it is the virgo in me shining through!
BG was it you who said everyone was out of milk???
Hubby says to let you know there will be milk very soon!!! he is warehouse manager for versacold (who supply coles stores with their orders) and got told yesturday coles have hired afew 747's and are sending emergency stock to flooded areas.
Nappy related..not much here..is raining, so i am praying the rains go where they are needed...
I don't know if i heard correctly last night could be true that Sheppartons power supply may be cut.... Maz hun i hope you are ok and have power..if not stay safe
WOJB ~ BBB / maz minky cover (camo)
tk- there are some nb kissaluvs on b4b at the moment, i was bidding on them (would have put them away for the next one!) but my bid got out done, if you are looking for NB stuff they are the bomb
WOHB - swaddlebees osfm fitted/maz butterfly minkee cover
Thanks Kitt3n, I will have a look!
Katone - i think it was Anna saying the flooded areas are out of milk - we still have supplies down here...
oops :) i knew it was someone in here :)
girls who are having WC issues, it might be an idea to contact Michelle if you can't sort it out.
Ashton is 5 months and can wee through a night nappy, we have m/l and not one leak, and he soaks them. It might be a faulty nappy or just needing a stripwash? I love them here, I have 7 and have 4 more coming hehe
kitt3n....did snakes fit???
WOJB ~ purple IB
kat - yes it does! she had it on yesterday, no problems
only 8 weks old and she can wear a m/l WC! s/m still fits too, its weird...............
new stock at panda baby ladies, and she is donating 20% to the fire cause. I couldnt help it, i grabbed the butterflies............
Nah ive bene doing as you said babe...just put a trifold in and it helps so much more. i just have a kids that wee's alot

Kat - how you going babe
How is everyone!!!!?????
Ive bloody pulled my neck out...got the comment about 'pleasing' my DH to much ha ha friggen ha......he wishes but that is NOT how I got my neck out!!!
Got a load of nappies to hang up but leaving theminside to dry cause its so smokey and stinky out side still...the whole neighbourhood has an orange haze over it
WOMB - black ib and curash cream......NR here we come again :(
mazzie ~ all good here hun!!! looking foward to sat :D
lol about the 'pleasing' comment...hehehehe
i have just done a load of nappies...and jack is STILL screaming!!!
Maz - i have no idea of geography up your way (or anywhere really!) - how far is everything from you? my DH looks to have to go to Methoura (no idea of sp!) and Shep tomorrow and load out of there back home. i'm so very antsy at the moment with him being anywhere but home - was easier when he was well clear of everything - not loving him being anywhere near fires...
Fires are 70km eash side of Shepparton...while they arent near us its bloody smokey to the max
ah this neck!!!!!!
i dont blame you Bg one bit babe....its scares the crapola out of me :(
Kat - is he alright babe>? teeth?
probably a combo of teeth and stubborness maz..he has a shocking temper at his age..already....must be the reddish tinge to his hair...
thanks Maz - it's far enough away for me not to stress too much about him going there tomorrow - provided conditions don't change! he's in wagga at the moment, about to head to wodonga - i'm watching the local AND northern fires just to keep an eye out for him. i know we need to earn a living, but man, it's soooo hard to not have him home at the moment!!
go see a chiro re your neck - my weekly chiro visit at the moment is the only thing keeping me sane!
BG - I know the feeling!! I have been keeping an eye on what is happening out near Wodonga too. I know that if they are at risk though they will be flown home. They have some choppers and stuff there they can use.
Booked an appointment with the Physio for Monday!!! yay!!! I had Em is a caramel bobble minky CT at my MW appointment and my MW thought it was cute :D Now I am thinking about whether I should ask if I can help them with a fundraiser so they can have a decent car park. I nearly got bogged getting out of the BC today!!
WOEB Green Camo CT
Kat it's the age lol Ash would get so cranky and yell ... actually thinking about it I think it was his teeth. Poor bubs! Right now he is sleeping after spending most of the morning protesting anytime I stopped walking around with him or put him down. Poor bub has one tooth and I think the other is about to make an appearence.
Ooooh Maz I am so excited about Saturday. Good news about the trifold. I found with Ash that some nappies, like the itti classic for example, would leak. I didn't know why until I added more boosting and it stopped it. Some nappies they just outwee!
WOHB can't bloody remember lol OH its his rumpster which I have a new found love for!
just lost a huge post, when i knocked a key by accident, i don't have it in me to retype it all.
i did answer everyone's questions (bout moving etc), :wall:
it's too much right now, i feel like my head is goign to explode (too many things to decide about, too many unknowns).
hugs Gigi
i left a shiat marriage BUT he kept the kids :( i moved back home with my parents, and it was hard BUT in the end everything worked itself out.
Chin up and i know you can get through this.
WOJB ~ IB of some colour...
Went to Woolies yesterday and there was plenty of milk but thanks for the heads up Kat :)
Hi all!
Sarah (Saram), thank you so much hun. I got the parcel today. It was so kind of you to send me the swim nappy that you no longer need  I hope you are doing ok amongst all that water.
It's nice to have a reason to pop back in and see how you all are ;)
WOTB - undies all round!
Howdy girls. has anyone got a good suggestion of where to buy singlet suits for MCN bums?
Ray I always just use normal singlets. the suit ones hide the gorgeous nappies ;)
lol, while they are flannel flats though i think it would be OK, but then ive answered my own q and a normal sized on will fit fine ;)
ETA: OT but is it just me or do other people find postst that "new posts" report are up, are missing when you read the thread?
Sometimes the mods catch dodgy ones pretty quick, other times the forum glitches take over ;)
Nappy related - They actually got some sun today!!! They are in the dryer finishing off now though.
How nice is it to see sun Ali :) I actually got a tad bit burnt yesterday at the park, naughty me.
Going to be so nice to be able to HANG my nappies YAY. I have some poo stains that absolutely wont come out through washing. Which reminds me I have a load of nappies to do.
Have had to put J in sposies cause he's been having panadol for this cold he's got and I didnt want to risk staining them. Its panadol that stains right?
yep panadol stains...it stained my precious fluffies :( BUT they have lightened...
be back later girls..off to chop my hair & get some foils put in :D
WOJB ~ cloth'd up (boosted) / maz elmo minky cover
Just got an email from Darlings Downunder - they are donating 10% of their proceeds for today and tomorrow to the Bushfire Appeal. Fluff for a good cause.
A bit sad atm as DS is toilet training himself, and he's not even 9 months old yet!! He's telling me when he needs to go by crawling over to the potty and patting it. It's happening at least once a day for a couple of weeks now. 3 times yesterday, twice already today. Since he's teething so bad and got the poops, I've had to give him panadol, so I guess it's ok coz it's less messy washing and stains to worry about, but he's staying clean and dry and the LS is only getting used for cleaning the potty! Draws full of fluff gathering dust...
WOHB: nuffin. He kicked and fought me so hard when I tried to put a nappy back on him that I gave up, cried, and put him down to nap on a swaddlebees mattress pad!
HAHA.. what a clever boy you have there NaNa.. my 2 year old just holds his willy, lets go - and it fires all over the place. I swear.. he's got no clue whatsoever...
isnt panadol colour free? how does it stain?
ONe of the ingredients stains. It is only the Panadol brand that does it. We never have issues with Dymadon.
RayRay - twinklelily have gorgeous "cut for cloth" stuff. When bubs is a bit older, the trousers are definately worth getting as pumpkin patch / target / sprout brands aren't cloth-friendly and to get a bum big enough, the waist falls off Pip :(
When bubs starts walking, look for pants/trousers that have adjustable elastic waist, with the button elastic.
I need to do some washing :(
wohb - went to CC in BBB with PUL cover, will be in flanno flat with pilcher now. will be in either construction or christmas "funkywun" design from widdlewuns.
