Just spoke to DH, they were on standby to help out yesterday, and slight chance of being called in to rebuild but at this stage it looks like they are just getting on with study. He owes his Seargent a drink for saying Sir instead of Sarge though, anyone higher than sarge and he would have been right but He got evacuated from the gym because of the smoke yesterday but everything was fine at the barracks.

Back soon, need to make 'Dottle' and change a stinker for bed.

lol Kat. Dave loves changing them... but me, well I like to change them because I get to choose lol but when I let him change without my imput he usually pics an itti followed by a WC

Maz that sucks about the leaking WC! Is he weeing too much for the booster? Maybe putting a trifold in there instead of the booster it comes with would help?? We haven't had any leaks yet

a very helpful Centrelink staff member suggested "transitional hostel" accomodation, to stay in inbetween leaving dh and finding somewhere to live.

my first thought was "will i be able to keep bilby in mcn if we lived in a hostel for god knows how long?".

has anyone done anything like this?
    what was it like?

and all i had rung up about was a number for childcare! what a helpful person.

she told me also, we miss out on the latest KRudd Stimulus bonus, cos it's based on the 07/08 tax return, and as dh hasn't lodged that, we won't get the bonus. thanks dh.

it's nearly March, so i will get hit with repaying the 07/08 of FAO money back, becos dh has not filed his 07/08 tax return.

(i let dh know of these two things tonight, he just kept on cooking sausages - that was the response).

this is part of the reason i need to go, can't take the ongoing stress about stupid tax returns.

i can't stop myself listening to the nonstop coverage of the Kingslake, Marysville, Flowerdale, etc tragedies. those poor people.

Isn't Falguni in Yea? SOmetimes Yea is shown in the news stories. Did Falguni's house get saved?

Gigi, read this thread hun https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...5-falguni.html

I think I may have seen her place on the telly when they were flying over Kinglake. There were only a couple of houses standing.

aw Gigi I hope everything works out in the best way it can for you.
Does your DH run a business or just have a normal tax return - if its a normal one Id get his group certificates and do it for him and make him sign it. Someone I know is in a similar position re 07/08 becuase their ex hasnt and refuses to do his tax return and its not nice.

Gigi - the only way they'd ask you to start paying pack an 07/08 debt for FAO for non-lodgement is once more than a year has passed - they start sending reminders (businesses have til the end of March to lodge so can't expect it before then) and dont tend to raise non-lodger debts until at least november of the following year (so Nov this year is the earliest for last years NLD's).

nothing much happening nappy wise here - too busy just trying to stay on top of life at the moment. have been stalking Mel's store, looking for bling on WC - but not buying much. everything at the moment has just been too full on - plus DH has been home a couple of weeks so we're running on zero money (it's a novel experience - yay for being organised in advance - and double yay for paying excess on the mortgage for the past x number of months so we could hold off on payments to actually survive!! yay!!)

DH back at work now, baby not due for another 16ish weeks - i'm sure i'll get more.... will have to look again at Maz sale and work out what i neeeed (nothing!) vs what i want (lots!) vs what i'm actually gonna try to get (hmmm too hard!)

has anyone heard if bg is safe?

gigi - thankyou so much for the silk info, i think i might just buy them pre made from bsl, they are cheap enough there ($2.50 each) by the time you cut up a 100x100 metre piece i think that price is quite reasonable. if you need anything, anything at all please let me know. I know how hard it is to leave your partner - especially when a little one is saying they want daddy to tuck them in every nght. It is so hard at first babe but it does get better, and easier, and if it has cometo the point where you feel you must leave, then leaving can only make your future brighter and easier seems like you could go travelling all over the east coast - ali in qld, me here in syd, mel bel in melb - you have a place to stay everywhere!

where is the info about this nappy drive? I would like to give some.... ali maybe you can give that elephant one to the drive, I am sure the poor ladies affected by the fires are in much more need than i am (even though it is an elephant!).

on the WC front - I have a s/m bling and it fits absolutely perfectly, and i have a m/l which she wore yesterday without any troubles too (and was soaked by the time it got changed) I have a few more on order so I think they are good for us.

got another iishfly order yesterday, unfortunately some of the snaps didnt snap together, but annette emailed me back very quickly to say its easily fixed, just ahve to send it back.

and finally got in contact with my seller on B4B - bling and embroidered BP on its way!!!

thinking of everyone affected by mother nature at this nasty time - and hoping the morons who started the fires suffer for the murders they have committed.

Gigi- hun i so wish i could help you out with space... if i had a spare room i would in a heart beat.. but i dont the house still isnt finished, should be the end of this month though.
As for the hostel.. im pretty sure they have machines.. it like a large house where a bunch of mums insimilar situtations live, so self contained.

umm sorry dont have much more time to reply anything else.. had my head in bucket most of yest and now i have to do kindy and day care run.

has anyone heard if bg is safe?
i'm safe hun - but on high alert and tend to be reading more than posting at the moment

the main fire (Churchill-Jeeralang) locally is about 8k's as the crow flies, currently heading in the other direction. it has been confirmed it was deliberately lit, and the fire bugs are still at work lighting more (were seen yesterday i believe, but dont think they were caught). this fire is very close to my family, so we're all very edgy - close friends got trapped in their home yesterday with flames within 50m of them before it changed direction. others had to evac due to the same front. DH is back at work, so i'm watching fires all over the place, and feeling very antsy as, if anything happens out here again, my "safe" places are also under threat and he is just too far away to help. am also watching the other fires for family up near the border, and knowing DH has to head into that area-ish today is very stressful.

we've not been through anything like Ange though - i can only imagine how hard it's been for her family at this time. i know how much the unknown is messing with me, can't imagine if it had gotten worse. we were lucky - the fires hit here a week before the rest of VIC - if it hadn't, our town would be another that was levelled - there just aren't enough resources to protect everyone. i am just feeling physically ill as we KNOW these were deliberately lit - the little bleeeeeeeeeeeeps were at it again yesterday

    Hi all,

I am so sorry to hear about those of you affected by the fires and the floods. I have you all in my thoughts and hope that all turns out ok.

Just a quick post from me this morning to let you all know my first bit of nappy mail arrived last night!! Unbleached pre-folds from the Nappy Bucket... I am so excited!! Now just have to figure out how to actually fold them but I have many many months ahead of me to figure all of that out!

I have a few bids in for items on B4B and have paid for all of the auctions I had won... now to await their arrival. I also placed an order for wipes and breast pad with Maz's store... some think I am insane for preparing now but alas it is the virgo in me shining through!
