virtually our whole stash is side snaps, so i can help you.
side snapping covers?
- sugarpeas (two types of wool fabric ones, ie not handknits, but woven fabrics, and they also do malden mills fleece ones. most are block colours, but i have seen a pattern int he MM fleece called REEF - ocean theme).
- berry plush (minky cover)
both of these covers can also be turned into ALL IN TWO nappies, by buying the same brand snap in matching insert.
- staccinator (wool and fleece) - the wool ones are plain, the fleece ones you can get patterns like snowmen, flowers, etc.
- motherease AIRFLOW (not the RIKKI ones, which are aplix) - pale background with small pictures of animals e.g farm, zoo, asian,
if you want to try non-front snapping/non aplix cover options, there are also PULL UP covers e.g bear bottoms MM fleece covers - they come in night or day weight. very easy to use, i love them in the wee hours of the morning, no closures to fiddle with, just PULL UP and it's done.
sidesnapping aio, pockets i can suggest too, if you are after those.
Katones - was it you after Rumperooz? have you tried googling the word, then click on "australian sites". you should get some refs come up - usually retail stores and reviews.
Kitten, we love the dragondflymagiks too, those inserts dry super fast and are lovely n trim.

i recently had a three day trip to Melb - flying.
this is what i did. it's what worked for us with our
- flying then rental car
- one child family, who is two,
- staying in ONE place, a motel with a bathroom/bedroom that's it. Communal laundry that we didn't end up using.
packed:
small container of Aware sensitive
travel clothesline (from camping store)
laundry wash bags
packed HALF of my suitcase with nappies
used NIGHT NAPPY for the plane flights (tip i read about on Nappycino)
pail liner wetbag - kept in motel room, kept decanting dirty nappies into that
two wetbags for daily use in the nappy bag
tots bots flushable liners (useful if your child does formed/pastey poos)
Nature Babycare sposie wipes
facewashers for changes in motel room
ended up NOT doing a nappy wash whilst away, it was all too quick, we spent most of our time out of the motel room.
so i ended up packing the suitcase with the 1/3rd full pail liner wetbag - this is a drawstring affair only - cos all the poos got flushed down the nearest loo, there was no poo in the wetbag - smell factor was fine.
immed we got home, i hotwashed all the nappies TWICE (they normally get washed once per day, three days sitting in bag, they were PONGY!!), and it was fine.
being prepared, with enough wetbags, made it do-able.
i have
- the day's worth of nappies size - baby beehinds wetbag
- the day's worth of nappies size - nurture nappies wetbag
- the little jamtots wetbag
(these three are zippered)
- the swaddlebees pail liner very humungously big wetbag (drawstring)
for each flight, i used the daily nappy bag, as my carry on luggage - JIC suitcase got lost adn i had to "make do" until it was found. I also stuck a few mcn in dh's luggage, cos i am paranoid about luggage goign missing.
having a portable nappy change mat with me, was useful - not everywhere i needed to change her, was as clean as would be ideal.
where do you live? there might be a IRL nappy shop near you, to buy wetbags at, or buy from some online site that offers express post.
i think maz's idea to take three days worth of mcn, is a very sensible one.
i would not leave the mcn washing for more than three days. so if you went for four days, i think i would plan to wash on day two.

I would also pack stuff that can go in the dryer, like BBBs and PUL covers which dry quickly.

i just got back from holiday and only used half of the nappies i thought i would !! as i washed and dried in the dryer each night and i found that when i was busy , nappy changing went to the bottom of my list so instead of changing every 1-2 hrs DD got changed every 3-4 . and i used less nappies that way . so i guess i over packed , but if your not washing 3 days and night nappies seems good!

i am so over TT .. DS just weed on the floor , he told me while he was doing it and made no effort to move ! then got upset ! he still poos on the floor and wont do it in the toilet !! he used to tell me when he needed to wee , now he wont !! he has been in undies for about 3 wks !!

Ecobubs - I would email the maker, WAHMs are usually more than happy to try and solve your issues with their nappies in my experience :)

Well about the + lol I am not bothered either way :) Will be a much welcomed addition if it is, and if it's not that's ok cos it wasn't planned YK. But we both want more babies so that isn't an issue :)
I am not doing a test yet for a couple of reasons. Last time it didn't show up until I was 5 weeks, I can't really afford to go buy lots of tests this week lol and if it's a negative I will just be waiting anyways because like last time, i wasted about 10 tests before one came up a + and that was at 5 weeks ;)
So if I miss my next one then I know. I don't 'feel' pregnant yet so we will see :)

anyone else got bad staining issues with their IB"s :(.... some of mine is due to not using liners :rolleyes: dont ask..... I know MCN maker and not even having liners :wall: but hey its a typical trait of anyone in any business .... doyou think I could make a paste of something (bicarb) to get it out?
Im thinking, bicarb paste...smear on effected area's then leave for 1/2 in sun then wash out...too risky???

Maz, Im curious to know about the Itti's too as we have a few boosters with stainage from the boys toxic poo's that wont come out even after a few hot washes and some sun time. I always rinse them and try to wash them ASAP cause Im paranoid about stainage but didnt work with these select few.
If you can wash with bicarb Im sure it would be ok to use as a paste?
Bugger it...im gonna try it Anna....whats the worst that can happen...i wreak a booster and have to replace it...havent bought anappy in a while ;) hehehhhe will let you know how I go babe

I really should line every nappy but I forget and dont have enough liners to line 2x nappies all day JIC they poop outside their usual time. It hasnt occured on any of the other nappies either, just the Itti's.

had to get a pack of sposies ... its been non stop rain all day ! not that i mind but i had one load of naps in the dryer , one ready to go in the dryer and a butcket full up stairs ... i handed the dirty bucket to mum so she can was / dry at hers .. and i'll stick to the plastic for a few days .
Gabriella is not well atm , so at least she can stain the sposies with her panadol poo !!
BBB stains will come out over time, with washing & sun/UV exposure.

hot washing wont set anything on nappies. I hot wash (60 degrees) all my nappies and have for a couple of months now and not one stain ;)
The line usually removes stains. However the greying from dymadon... :( the sun is fading it though.
Well I am off for the weekend!! Dave has a big special day planned for me tomorrow <3 I am excited hehe Packed a big bag of nappies and am going to enjoy this nice warm weather! Hope you all have a wonderful Vday and grab all the lovely goodies at Maz's stocking, I am really bummed I am going to miss it :( I wanted the rainbow and cow sets waaaahhhh :( Oh well Maz I will have to beg you for a custom!

RE stains...I'm sure I read somewhere (probably NC) you can make a paste from nappisan and treat the stain that way. Smear it on and let it sit for a bit then rinse well.
I like blueberries. Have the one size (large) for Caleb and they are one of my fav's on him. Nice and trim fitting. I have some OSFM for Ruby and they are too big for her yet. Hopefully I like them just as much.
