Don't worry Sam - That is in an entire day. I need clothes washed to wear and have done most of the work while sitting. And I miss counted, they arrive in 2 weeks.

I did fold the nappies and have put them all away, and I have a half load of nappies with some clothes in the machine for me to hang and throw in the dryer tomorrow.

    evening all,

must be the season for blistered penii! Pip has a wonderful blister happening.

Who was asking about new snoozywuns? They are in the high 30's, I haven't bought any for a while though, and the last couple I've bought have been customs.

WoHB - DH is insisting on sposies and this evening he totally out-wet it, and DH changed him so I'm guessing a sposie again. *sighs*

I ditto that Kitten lol some people grind on my nerve though no matter where I go Lucky noone in this thread yet haha

Well I am back for a quick announcement to rub in... cos I have to...

I got a blue munch crunch auriel for $20 sorry couldn't help it I was so excited!

Never got the nappies hung out... how slack is that. Supposed to be ok tomorrow so ill do it in the morning. Too dark out there now and there are spiders on my clothes line, I know it!

Heidi I am glad you found the cause. I always forgot to drink enough water, then when I started drinking heaps I felt better. Same with feeding Ashton, when I don't drink enough I feel crap.

As for Dave and I ... I just don't think it will work. I asked him to help me more cos he only came to visit us 3 days out of 7 and he thought I was asking too much Told me I was complaining. That he shouldn't have to spend all his free time here. Sorry but Ashton isn't a toy, and I am not supposed to be a single mum, where is my free time? When do I get a 10 minute break? Even when he is here I still do everything. He has changed 5 nappies, bathed him twice. Doesn't do anything else. Just plays with him SOMETIMES but most of the time he has a play for 5 minutes then doesn't pay him any more attention. It is just not on and no amount of me asking him to change is going to make him change when he clearly didn't want to Unfortunate, made worse because I do love him, which is hard because i have no idea why when he treats me like ****.Wooo that was a lot lol sorry... just like verbal vomit once I get started.

Hey anyone have msn? I am bored with noone to talk to and for some reason the chat never works for me

anyway - i'm washing nappies again - well, planning to! and i need to start washing some colored stuff. i know GIGI mentioned colors running, so i need to know - are there any nappies that notoriously run? i have a huge mix of colors and materials - just wanting to know if anyone has come across anything that makes a mess so that i don't mess them up before they even get used once!

am going to grab the tub and pull out all the liners and things and wash them together (no color so no chance of dye running!) but i'm just wondering about the outers for things like Itti's, iish flys etc

    help!!
    noooooooooooooo

    stop!

wash similar colours with each other

    fleece attracts lint galore

anything fluffy like terry loopy stuff - sherpa, terry flats, even white microfibre inserts - has huge amounts of lint lost first few washes.

do all the white stuff together so they can lint each other!

if you have coloured and dark fleeces, at least put them in washbags (in the nonwhite wash).

it's the first few washes of the white linty stuff that you need to keep stuff separate for

i LOVE black and strong coloured fleeces, a lovely WAHM gave me this heads up on keeping them looking good - put them in a zippered washbag - so theydon't cop lint. not a MESH washbag either. i use "dustmite pillowcase protectors" from big w, kmart etc
they cost less, are bigger, have better zips

RED PUL has been known to leak - turning white nappies, into various shades of pink e.g red peapods.

MY LAST FEW POSTS are not on here, i think cyberspace gobbled them up, so i haven't been ignoring questions, but my answers have vanished! (Queen, i answered you very comprehensively about fitteds - for e.g).

Queen - you like the Cute Tooshies Bamboo Delights, i recommend you also try the Cute Tooshies Soy Bamboo nappy - even thirstier than the BD.

KITTEN - a night nappy with natural inner? what about Widdlewun night nappy by Snoozywuns? you find Snoozywuns on the ozebaby site.

Michelle at Sustainable Hemp Products has the license to make Sandman Nappies (originally made by Nappy CHappies).

I think everyone is a bit on edge, re the economy, how it affects us all, the recent horrible job losses we are hearing about each day on the news, it's pretty soul destroying isn't it? Sometimes compromises have to be made, for businesses to survive, i don't think anyone enjoys NOT employing locals.

Cheeky MOnkey - another WAHM who had been having a break, but will be back from the Nappy Hunt (March) onwards, is Whizz Kidz (on ozebaby). i have been using her OSFM fitteds and nightz nappies for last few years, highly recommended. And she makes cute newborn stuff too.
(so another fitted reccy for Queen there too).
(and another natural inner night nappy reccy for Kitten too).
actually, i think Cuddles N Cloth make an entirely bamboo night nappy as well.
not to mention, the Mazalicious night nappy, soon to make it's appearance.
more than i thought (that have a natural inner).

MELBEL - hope you ahd fun playing with the ittis! lush!

ALIOOPS - hope the ice is helping your pelvis

NANA - now i had somethign to say to you too, and now my mind has gone blank! grrr.

wotbb: KK AIO (made by possum pouches) she's so lovely, i bet she's doing fundraising to help the injured animals from the vic bushfires, such a caring lady. she's always out to promote mcn, do auctions for causes, so giving.

CM - um, have you considered that even though the MCN you're looking into are made here in Australia, chances are the fabric comes from elsewhere??

nappy stuff here, well, um, not much. I want to sell my BumGs and get BerryPlush and Blueberry instead. Can anyone tell me the approximate resale value of them? There's about 18, all V3, and they're around 6-7 months old, well cared for and in VGC. I just have noooo time!! And I need a fluffy mail fix. It's been too long!

WOHB: Happy Heiny. Not loving these so much anymore either. Wing droop.. blah.
    1st para
did you know that the organic merino wool in the Disana woollen pullups, is Australian wool? it's taken to Germany, then turned into the soakers.

    2nd para
berryplush a12? do you have a heavy wetter?
blueberry pockets? i'd suggest stuffing them with bamboo trifolds
if you're on a sidesnap push, i would suggest sugarpeas fleece a12 also.

wohb - do you have the HH that are aplix only, or aplix and snaps in the middle?
do you have access to a snap machine?

and for anyone TT-ing their child, and wanting to buy Aust made trainers, thanks to my latest obsession, i can tell you who those are (if you want to know).

it's 10.43pm, guess how many nappies i've put in the drypail today, for bilby?

    ONE
last night's night nappy that got taken off her this morning.

OMG - i can't believe this is happening!

not even an accident to clean up. this is too good to be true, maybe she'll regress tomorrow, have heaps of accidents and i'll wake up out of this dream.

i'm so proud of her, but WHAT ABOUT OUR LOVELY MCN!!!!!

Ali - hey say they are for me, my internet shut down and my credit cards were stolen so you ordered for me :-) Then later say the nappies were a swap from someone.

OK - I need recommendations for some customs within a reasonable price range for a special newborn coming soon to The Nappy Bucket.

BG - grab yoourself some of those little cloths you put in the wash that gather up colour runs. I always keep some on hand for when washing new clothes etc esp red.

Sammi - We're having itti ishoos too, not happy!

Maz - Are you a thread killer... thread killer... thread killer.... thread kille... thread kill.... thread kil... thread ki...

Gigi - Yeah, that's who I meant!! Can't say I like them that much though, I don't think I have used them enough to have washed them enough for them to be at their maximum absorbancy (sp?) so I still preffer our BBH bamnboos.

Punky was starting to get red again yesterday so she was in a spossie overnight.. am thinking I might get some moo goo next week when I have some cash & give that a whirl as well as the bv liners... can't have no cloth again now I'm getting back in the groove!

Have solved a little NR problem in his house...we've changed to lactose free milk for Mateauz...his NR has settled down and isnt bleeding anymore

Sarah - get onto Spunkybutt's or Bizy bee for custom NB's..I just got a 6 pack from BB and their very noice . Ive got quiet a few from Spunkybutt's too

How many times do we need to wash anappy to get good absorbency??? Does it depend on how many washes the bamboo get's before hand???

MissMOo - love SUX!!!!! it is a horrible desease that makes us love baffoons I tell ya

AH brain fart time....I have no idea oh oh yes I do...I might have to sell on my Bubblebubs medium ..Im trying my hardest not to but the rise is short now....especially after Mateauz recycling last nights tuna casserole that lets just say it, cascaded so nicely out the back of the nappy Its one of my favourites...a brown cow one Im gonna cry when I have to see it go ...looks like I might have to buy a few large ones....anyone know if there are any cow large Bubble bubbles or even panda ones around????

Gigi - i hadn't started to wash any of the colored nappies just yet - ended up having a shocker emotionally the last couple of days and thought the nappies could go take a flying leap! i did rewash BBB and BBH with sherpas - i think for the third time - and decided the dryer was going to be my friend for ridding everything of the chunky fluff that is so bad it's dotting the floor under the clothes airer - i got everything maybe 2 thirds dry when the lint filter got so full the dryer shut down! cleaned the filter once, started it again, and got another half full filter when it was all dry! think that's enough pre-washing for the bamboo and sherpas but will do some more for the hemp ones. i'm determined to make sure everything is looking pretty good absorbancy wise before i use it!

my intention was to wash similar colors together - have told DH we need more lingerie bags too! he said i have a stash somewhere that i haven't opened yet (i apparently got them from undercoverwear when i bought myself some stuff) but i have no idea where they are. i really need to do more of OUR washing (DH is really domesticated!) so that i know where things like this are hiding out!

DH should be home today (well, he better be! i'm not having a good week at all!). hopefully he'll help me drag some stuff out. Maz - i so agree with the comment that LOVE SUX! it really DOES make us into buffoons and emotional wrecks - makes us worry so very much...

nappy news - well, q's really:

has anyone received their order from the Widdlewuns stocking? she said she was posting on Monday, but it usually doesn't take this long to arrive here...
Ali - did you do anything spesh to wash your Iish fly sparkly nappy. i was thinking a wash bag on gentle cycle should be enough but don't want to do anything that makes them pretties fall off!

And maz - just so you know - i'm sitting here in a dressing gown with my hair all over the place - i just CBF'd! it's my morning ritual! cuppa, toast with cheese, and sit on the couch catching up with BB...

I have always washed everything together and never had a problem ... the only thing that's attracted anything is the inside of my peapods which picked up everything . Aside from that no colours have run and no fluff has stuck.

Same here Mel, re washing everything together. I find dark fleece is the only issue but the only nap I have with that is the krap katcher & it was a cheapy from B4B anywho so I'm not fussed.

Janie if you're lurking, I got me a gadimal from B4B!! Am waiting eagerly for it to arrive!!

I re-washed my newborn, small and medium nappies yesterday and all bar the Clothd Up ones got dried in the sun, ahhhhh I forgot how good things smell when they are sun-dried. The CU fitteds were fluffing so I ran them through the drier cause I HATE fluff. And I just realised its a good thing I did it too cause Im 35wks tomorrow Ive already got some prefolds and a fitted newborn nappy + covers (Maz ones hehehe) packed in my labour bag. I cant wait to use them.

I have to admit though, I havent worked out how to use the snappi's yet lol Im guessing it would be easier if the nappy was ON a newborn

BG I didn't do anything special with the washing machine, just checked it when it was done, and dried the outer on the airer instead of in the dryer with everything else. Was dry the next day.

My washing machine doesn't have a lint filter, so I am so used to having lint on everything. Every now and then it goes through the dryer but half the time a can't be bothered.

Anna - Snappis you do the tops first and then pull down for the bottom. So 1 side stretch across to other side, and pull down bottom.

Well I am going to hang the washing outside after the people come to collect the wardrobes from my garage.

thanks Ali - my washing machine is getting a little old so i might chuck it in a lingerie bag just in case. everything is being dried on the airers as much as possible (i don't much like the dryer to be honest!) so that one won't be a big issue for me - i just love that it's a OSFM nappy so it will do her for ages! is it wrong to want the next 13 weeks to FLY by (for ms purposes as well as wanting to put these nappies into use!)

i'm having a slack Biartch day today - was intending to do "stuff" in terms of folding clean clothes etc, washing and drying more baby stuff - but i just can't seem to care! i told DH i'd get motivated enough to shower when he gets home - for today, i'm slothing and i really don't care!
