Ah Ali ta for reminding me! Dh needs to change his vote details too. Funny you should say that, my friend today said to me 'Oh he'll be here in the next week or two, you wont make it to 38wks and the birth centre' because Ive dropped heaps I do know that the hossy has a tub though so Im just gonna refuse to get out of it hehe cheeky arent I. Seeing Jeannine tomorrow anyway so will see if he has engaged or not. We need to do coffee next week too!

MissyMel - we have bling but for bub, a mortal kombat WC. Would be nice to see some Iish sparkles aimed at boys though, the only one's she lists are girly like flowers.

Im gonna have to give the pot o' golds a miss, DH wants to go out tonight so I wont be home lol So hyena away ladies I will try and nab one next time, atleast then I'll get a size thats definately usable for ages.

Anyone got KRudd $$ put aside for some special MCN purchases? I'll def be using some of it for some Mazalicious night nappies. Most of it will go on paying off our new double pram.

Oh and the orange postie card wasnt fluffy mail yet (Wah) it was a present for Dh from the inlaws. So Ive got three lots of fluffy mail to look forward to next week or two yay!

willow, the amount of jargon is amazing isn't it? you don't have to be absent very long, before new ones pop up. FJ isn't posting in here as often as usual, i miss her too.

annaT - i have seen nappy auctions go to astonishing amounts, like nearly $200 for ONE nappy, but i guess there ARE people are there with bigger disposable income than me, and the auctions are usually fundraising for a worthy cause, so it's not that the actual nappy is worth that amount, it's the cause i guess. (although some of the mcn concerned, do have extraordinarily high levels of work in them - many many hours of painstaking labour, time and skill).

we are so short of trainers, i am washing and re-using same two each day very impatiently, can't wait for my fluffy mail to arrive (trainers). has anyone got a Potette?

i saw huggalugs for $10 tonight, cos all new designs have arrived (including MONKEY faces!!), $10 ones on sale included MOO PRINT, if only i could remember where i saw that sale, not an MCN shop, a baby shop.......hmmm.

Charmlea - bits for bots does fleece pockets. very low on stock, i think only one left (in sand colour).

AnnaT - like Alioops said, you don't HAVE to use snappis on prefolds. If you use a snug fitting cover, it's not needed. I put bamboo foldups (30 x 30cm) into nb covers -didn't need snappis at all.

gigi - I have 3 night nappies on order, i think that will do for now, and i have 2 lotus nights in large on the way. so for now i have 4 night nappies - i hope thsi will work with my washing regime, ifnot i might need one more, but we will see for now......... if you have something i should look at please let me know? oh and the jamtots fitted - a henp fitted, OSFM needs snappy fastener. I bought the last 3 in aussie land (unless someone else is stocling them!) they are fabulous, just fabulous. If i were to start all over i would get them and swaddlebees OSFM fitteds - no other types of fitteds!

Gigi - don't need them now, they're for the new bub due late July/early Aug. You were the one who put me onto them in the first place. I loved them!

I just went through DS nappy stash and pulled out all the stuff I don't use on him for the new bub, plus the smaller stuff I haven't sold off yet (probably the first time i'm ever grateful that I'm a huge procrastinator!), plus the stuff Mel is lending me I have 18 nappies for the new bub. If I get say 5 whizz kids plus the one I already have that's 24 nappies - do you think that's enough? I wash every second day.

I know lots of you have loads more nappies than that but on a 'mcn on a budget' kinda scale do you think we'll get by with those? DS has about 10 OSFA BumGs too that I could take if i get him some more nappies. I reckon that should be plenty.

Hello lovely ladies... Hope you doont mind me crashing in on you all... I've seen this thread numerous times but its a bit daunting... I feel like a fraud. I have been using terry flats during the day for bout 3-4 months. But would like to look into some new stuff... NaNa directed me here.

So Any suggestions. Anything special i need to know??

If your washing every day or second day you could get away with that many Willow.

We obviously have a ton because we have three in MCNs. I also wash everyday and can get it all dry within that time frame too.

Well it is a MASSIVELY long and complicated story, but the basics are:
More than 3/4's of my stash is still in Melbourne. At my mums flat. Under the guard of her less than pleasant ...'partner'. Along with my wedding presents, my full knife/tool kit (preventing me from returning to work) and other personal items, Charlottes christmas and birthday presents...

Anyway, due to his refusal to allow us access to the flat, or more importantly to my PERSONAL possessions, claiming that they are now part of his claim on my mothers estate, I am not allowed to get hem back until the will has passed through probabate and he decides I am allowed to get into the flat.
My lawyer tells me there is nothing I can do about this, as he has been given a new lease by the RE agent, illegally, but apparently the lease is still legal and the fact that the nappies are clearly not mums, apparently doesn't make a difference.. The police aren't even interested in helping me get them back, because it is a civil matter....well there is nothing civil about it!!

SOOOO....That is why my Sandman is deeply embroiled in a legal scandal.

Given though that half of the nappies there are sized, which will no longer fit her by the time all this is settled, same with her birthday and christmas presents, clothes etc that are Charlottes....and the fact that he is costing me income, the ****er is going to get his arse sued for the same money he is trying to steal from my mothers estate.


So that is the short version. lol. Hence why I haven't been in here much - she only has about 6 nappies now
