arrrrggggghhhhh!!! why are some people soo ignorant and difficult?? this is a WAHM i was purchasing 2 nappies from i have decided i DON'T like OSFM nappies and she was going to refund my monies....nothing..i have sent numerous emails and she has done nothing...well i am fuming!!! i consider this theft!!!!
sorry for the rant.....
Congrats to those that nabbed bling...i myself...wasn't fussed by any of the nappies there..only for the fact i didn't like the fit on Jack of one of the workhorse versions...
Kat she may just be really busy - is it one of the well known ones? She might just be overwhelmed. Is there a number you can call? I know that emails sometimes have a habit of getting lost at the most inconvenient times. Try to chill - I'm sure its not done deliberately (well I would hope not - I try to have faith in human beings!!)
No nappy news here.. patiently waiting for my two custom GF's that Kitt3n talked me into getting ;) Kitt3n - how awesome is the Godsmack logo? That would look wayyyy awesome on a nappy...... ahhhh dreams dreams.....
WOAB: Widdlewuns with frog on the butt
WOMB: WC
I didn't get anything in the WC stocking after all due to a certain child who wouldn't go to sleep - only managed 40 mins all day and was beside himself.
My g/f did manage to pick up 3 patterned ones including the Betty Boop whom she loves.
OMG Mel, how did I miss that you're UTD??? Congrats honey. I can't be so blind that this one has been baking for a while right?
Ooh gotta get myself a widdlewun!
WOHB: firetruck iishfly
Maz - DH and a couple of others helped the Melb City council prune some trees through the middle of Melb! but they got through. he managed to get in behind a load 10cm higher than him so was able to judge which bridges he could get under ok - he was just the other drivers eyes from behind when things got tight! he was swearing his head off at the disorganisation, but was glad he went the way he did (the "official" detour) - others decided to avoid the detour and went on roads where it isn't legal for over-dimensional trucks to go, there was traffic chaos, and more than a few of them would be getting nasty fines i think
not a lot going on nappy related. i think my dryer has just crapped itself so need DH to look at it. seems to be tumbling, but not drying so i'm thinking element might be kaputski. must remember to get him to look. ran same load twice yesterday and once the day before, and nappies are still damp, so i'm hanging them on the airer today! - hopefully they'll be dry mighty soon so i can put them away! good thing the weather isn't "bad" for drying naturally and i was really only using the dryer for convenience to de-fluff and soften them...
Does anyone want to count my terry flats and nappies for me... I have been trying to do it for the past week and just cannot seem to get the motivation... I need to know what I have so I know what I should be looking to get between now and September
Maybe when I decide on my storage system I will be more inclined to count them as I figure what will go where...
Speaking of which - what do others use for storage?
bwahahahaha
Nah, only new ;) I actually keep forgetting.. LOL
TK - I had them in the kids cupboards in the wardrobe at first with names under them (AIO's, fitted, cover) so my husband would know what to do with them, and then we realised that we don't actually use the changetable - we change on the floor in the loungeroom more often, so they got moved to an old dresser in the loungeroom - until I needed it for stock - so now my stash sits on top of the dresser in the loungeroom. NOt neat in any sense, but at least I can see if I need to put more nappies together.. LOL
Awesome news sweetheart. I'm totally thrilled for you. Yippee!!!!!!!!
at the moment, plastic tubs!!!
when the baby's room is painted, some will go in the drawer ready for using, the colored flat spew cloths will go in the nappy hanger (we weren't going to get one, but $3.80 for one that matches our theme - just couldnt' go past) - ummmm, the ones that are too big (or too small as she grows) will live in plastic tubs in the wardrobe. some will live on the nappy change station we have for the lounge area too...
I use a shelf or two on our bookshelf. As our boys share a room, I have the change table in our rumpus room (just how it works out in our house) and it's next to the book shelf so I just comandeered a shelf or two for nappies.
i dod nothing of the sort!! and yes that would look so hot, so very very hot!!
and those after night nappies - maz's are the best - my husband could even put the booster system together within 1 minute, when he had never seen it constructed!! velour lining - just awesome fit. make do till you can get some maz ones, seriously!!
ah had other stuff to say but gont blank. can i still blame baby brain? lol
WOHB - HH sherpa/swaddlebees fleece cover
Ours are stored in a gucci washing basket next to our couch  Atm I cannot change them anywhere but on the couch because if I get on the floor I wont get back up again and with 2 toddlers Id be too scared to be stuck down there for any length of time heh. Once bub has come I will go back to storing them in their wardrobes, all put together so MIL can just grab one out to put on them. As for newbie, I have the BBHs in a nappy stacker hanging off the end of the cot, all the newborn/small nappies and covers in baskets on the change table shelf and the medium stuff in his wardrobe.
Im considering storing all the nappies in colour coordinated plastic tubs for Dhs benefit but we'll see how we go for the moment.
Well Anna at least its Gucci ;)
I bought a pile of funky blue-stripey boxes from Freedom, and they are in there. One box for nights, one for AIOs/Pockets etc and one for fitteds + covers. I tend to put the fitted in covers when I fold them .. I also bought a matching shelving thingy which I keep my terry flats & swims in, and on top there is a 3-section thingy which is sorta shaped like oversized magazine holder and I keep wipes & liners in that, and put his pants in while I change him.
hi ladies
i'm just about to do my 1st strip wash using the hot water and dishwashing detergent method... can I put all nappies and boosters in there?
I have mainly itti bitti snap ins, sew ins, a few BBH and a few happy heinys?
I keep my nappies in some cane baskets that I bought from K-Mart - the baskets then sit on the shelves of my change table, with my fave nappies in the one right at the front so they are easily reached, and the not so fave ones at the back and on the bottom shelf!
OMG OMG OMG!
Lesley is the BOMB!!!!!!!!!
Ive just cut and pasted this from her blog at Cherub's kiss
So anyways I thought someone might like to pick something from the picture. You may choose 1 nappy from those above, tell me why it's your favourite (you must be a NEW customer, someone that has never tried an Auriel before to enter). Random Generator will pick someone from the posters, and you may choose to purchase the nappy you've selected.
And can anyone guess how many nappy cuts there are?
Oh how I wish I could get my hands on another.....we are wearing the 2 plus fitted to death atm...must start stalking
sorry got a little excited....little bit of wee
Storeage...I use 2 shelves to like Rach...and I even labelled them for Jed so he couldn't stuff them up
BBL - need to snort some minkee
MAZ!!!! did you see the dolphin auriel on B4B??? it's gorgeous!!!!
no omg off to go investigate (inserts evil grin)
Im planning on something like this. I have a boori change table/drawers and it has a large shelf that will fit 3 boxes or baskets. They will need to be sorted so that Im not going insane in the middle of the night, and so that DH will use them.
Theres no way he'll use a OSFM, so might have a stash of "easy" sized nappies for him.
TK - There are pics of my change table in the gallery. I can fit quite a few nappies in the drawers. At the moment we have the top drawer full of accessories like wipes and extra boosters and covers, the second drawer is full of OSFA night nappies, the 3rd drawer is OSFA and large and medium day nappies, and the bottom drawer is for the new bub.
Another BG has bitten the dust. Might have to experiment with turning it into a Mama pad.
WOEB: Aquarium CT
Thank you everyone for your storage solutions... mmm so many options... luckily I have time to figure out what I want he he he.
Ali, do you find the drawers annoying or do you get everything out of them before putting bubs onto the change table?
I suppose that applies to all those who replied with something other than a shelf as well... please tell
TK - My change table is a chest of drawers. I have 1 hand on the child and can get into the drawers while they are on the change table, they have smooth runners and slide easily. I'll see if I can find the pic that shows the whole thing. https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...66&ppuser=6959
It is a baby brand and I think they thought of the fact that parents will have bubs in hand while trying to open the drawers so made it easy.
I keep it in a central location so that I am not disturbing a sleeping child in order to change the other one or pack the nappies up once they are dry.
lol that makes more sense... I looked at each of the drawer pics but not the one with the whole thing (lol yeah I am a der!). Mmm ok
I honestly didn't realise how many different change table type things were out there... so many things to choose from!
oooooh silence is deafening! is that cause this isn't a sticky? Or am i missing a stocking?
WoHB - KK nights and cow flongies.
This thread has been quiet today, have I scared you all off?
Has anyone ever had any bird poop mishaps with their nappies on the line?
I went out to take my nappies off the line this afternoon only to discover a bird had done a flying poop and managed to soil not 1, not 2, but FOUR nappies. I was NOT happy. Now I'm grossed out by the thought of bird poop bacteria and parasites etc. on the nappies. Do I just simply strip wash them or is there something special I should do?
nah just busy ;)
Just added something else in this thread ;)
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post1719376
Kaz hon - bizy bee has custom slots for her mongies/flongies at her store...not at WAHMnaps..not taht I want to enable you
Cm  defently strip wash them....blah stupid bird..wonder if it was a duck trying to get his own back on the world (duck hunting season started here this week)
Thanks Maz - I'm actually not sure if it was a bird or a bat. We have both that fly over the house and poop on our cars regularly - they've never hit the washing line though!
Hmm. After I finish the stripwash I just put on, can I do a wash with some dettol or something in it? I'm paranoid...
Just checked out your *ahem* other thread *ahem*. Must set alarm...
CM - what a great idea - setting alarm now. Bugger on the bird poop was it one of those sticky black disguisting ones??? I have one on my wall that won't budge.
This NN (if I manage to get one ) will have to be my last nappy purchase. After my recent splurging guess what... Ari has done 3 poos on the toilet in the past two days by saying poos and running to the toilet, during nappy free time today she started to wee on her quilt and ran and weed on the tiles (and the dog ) then came and told me so we could clean up together and then tonight in the bath she asked for a nappy for wees, put her on the toilet and explained that we do wees on the toilet and she went "OK". Wouldn't that be bloddy right after I bought those iish fly and the starbunz...grrrr
Maz - is the stocking time daylight savings time? So will it be 7:30 QLD time???? I can never work out DLS
Saram - It was the really thick sticky blackish dark green ones. I think it might have been bat poop. You live in Kelso right? I'm in Condon so it's probably the same kind you get. We have lots of bats at night they love the fruit on our palm trees.
As for Ari TTing - Well done! Sounds like she's well on her way  Now those nappies... Which ones did you buy and don't need any more? Are they gender specific? ;)
As for Maz's stocking, wait on her answer but I'm pretty sure you're correct. I set my alarm for 7:30pm QLD time.
yep there the ones, I thought they were Ibis or the kites/eagles whatever you call them but yes we have tonnes of bats at the moment too.
Unfortunately most of my nappies now are very girlish I culled most of the others a few months ago. the new ones have a ballerina on it oh but the other one is black with the world on it and a pink puppy on the starbunz :-) Will let you knwo if I don't end up using them :-)
COWPRINT MCN ALERT
over on ozebaby, a store that has been on hiatus for a while, has returned, WHIZZ KIDZ, and they happen to have previewing, a cowprint Ai2 nappy that i thought you might like to see. We used the Whizz Kidz OSFA fitteds (side snappers) and the Whizz Kidz Nightz OSFM. She now has two styles of NN - the natural inners and the staydry inners, so you get both to choose from - country AND western. LOL.
and WILLOW - READ THIS
Whizz Kidz are back on ozebaby NOW
Saram - tt-ing is so strange. on one hand you're keen for them to "get it", but when they do, it's like "wot about the mcn????" end of an era heh? i hear you sista.
wotbb: KKAIO and longies as pj bottoms (and monkey nightie on top)
Hey Gigi - long time no hear, good to see you back in here (woohoo it rhymes) How's bilby going with the TT? Yes well I had finally given up on my little girl toilet trainning in the next couple of months as she had shown no interest and then this today - we are still a ong way off and I'm not holding my breath but I think the slight temp drop has heled as she isn't downing 2-3lts of water a day anymore.
ohh those Wizz kids look good but not much left and not sure if I wanna spend $40 on a dino nappy - I'm such a fuss pot :-)
Saram - I don't think DF would approve of me putting ballerina nappies on Phoenix...
sure??? It's a very nice ballerina and might inspire him to be a world famous ballet dance. What dad wouldn't want that for his son
FNQ ladies, am pretty sure what you are describing is bat crap, esp if there is no white in it. Amd if they are eating red berries off the palms the it will be knd of grainy too.
It's acidic as hell so if it's on your cars wash it of asap, will wreak the paint. wouldnt be surprised if it bleached nappies too.
Bats are disease riddled little critters so while it is berry/crapping season i would just put my precious stuff on a clothes horse some where safe.
On a different note, I think i had some congractions last night, AF pain that got worse (it woke me up) then went away, did this 3 times then no more. WDYT?
Woooo Shells that sounds exciting!!!! Can't wait for the announcement!!! I can't answer for sure myself - never been lucky enough to actually go into labour!! :wall:
And that poo sounds... well.... foul!! yukko
Eeewww, bat crap!! poor thing..... I hate my nappies getting pooed on... even from the kids!!!
I got my iishflys yesterday!!!!!! They have soo much padding!! Washing today, so will try them tomorrow... got tiger print, cheetah, and misty sea.. minkee...
almost made up for the crappy day I was havin..... ;)
WOHB..magikall orange
WOKB.. MMPN, still in bed!!
Saram and CM - ive put the time up in MPM section thread :)
Shell - oh ah..I hope that this is it for you hon....oh how dame right exciting!!!!!!!
so annoyed...I cant view my emails cause ti wont let me  peeving me right off!!!
Please let the fluffy god's be kind and send me some today
Mel - mum's grapevine totally ripped off your web design! "Fresh new look" - pfft! Same colours and everything. Sorry, I'm a graphic designer, I pick these things apart...
No nappy news. DS is still going on the potty several times a day, and one nappy can last up to 5 hours. That's sad.
Ya what what? Are you talking about my website? Or Missy Mel's blog ?
And at least he's going on the potty - DS doesn't even know what its for most of the time.... he peed in the bath the other day and I think the size of his willy was what impressed him the most - not what was coming out of it.. typical boy...
Ahhh well... he's still only 13.5kg so at least I get lots of use out of my nappies..teeheehee
