Happy Choccy Day :)
Easter bunny has been very nice here this year - although I think he works for my gym, cos he obviously isnt trying to help me! lol

Kaz- I was tossing up whether or not to get Charli an easter egg, cos she doesnt respond well on chocolate (read: Devil Child) and then I saw this peter rabbit gift set at Big W - a bowl, spoon and cup, with an egg sitting in it. Thought perfect - she can have a tiny bit of egg, but she will get the pressie! Turns out she was more interested in the spoon and bowl anyway, the egg barely got a lookin! lol ....Until daddy pulled out his giant ferrero rocher tray hehehehe.

I got a sleep in today! And hot cross buns for breakfast so thats just ace! lol Loving it!...
And I am in a GREAT mood today for some reason lol I love long weekends!


On the nappy front I have a HUUUUUGE basket of nappies to fold and snap and stuff - poor DH was overcome lol so he isnt doing it - all the snaps and boosters and microfibre seemed to get the better of him. :p So thatll be fun - hopefully there is a nice movie on channel 9 to amuse me while I do it.

Rayray - I never use them. I have one, that I put a fluffy Woddlebots in cos every piece of exposed velcro will find this nappy and stick to it :wall: - but she doesnt wear it often. Never saw the need fr anything else. Even the bling just goes straight in, has been fine so far!

The NB and small stuff has had 2 prewashes, so I am ready to put them back together and start packing my bag. Tonight DH and I will get the bag packed, JIC I need another stay in hospital. BG, I reckon we might go on the same day, you spontaneous and me with intervention.

Poor DH has had to learn pretty quickly how to cook edible meals (lunch has charcoal edges) but I am enjoying being served each meal. I am so glad that he has gotten in and done it with minimal whingeing, I wish you could all have nice ones that actually help when it is needed.

my DH is amazingly domesticated - today he's washing and cooking and just being a gem of a fella! love him to bits. he's "letting" me help a bit, but only if i sit while he does the cooking. i'm allowed to chop stuff, but heaven forbid i should try standing up to do anything! gotta love him!

well, must away and go check the washing (and get him to hang it out if it's done) - maybe rewash bubba towels and dry them again and who knows what after that. feeling very industrious today so making themost of it (watch me fall in a crippled heap tomorrow!).

ah well, back to the drawing (well cutting) board!

my mum cooked me breaky! Every Easter, Christmas and NYD we go to mum and dads (and my brother & his DF) and they cook us breaky! yum-o
Then, after DS woke at 5am still hyper and feral as a follow on from yesterday, he turned into the perfect child, went to sleep with no fuss (second time EVER for me during the day that hes done so), woke up and has been normal all afternoon.
Washed all the nappies bar the ecobubs, llamajamas and wool covers - do I wash those in wool wash every time or just normal detergent, and if normal do I lanolise them every time?

Raray - wash them in wool wash everytime you wash them, but they only need to get washed if they are actually soiled (your longies and woolens) and lanolised when you notice they start to get damp overnight...I do mine once a month or so and they are fine.

home from the in laws - poor little laa was totally manhandled and she and i have come home early, DH and DD1 are staying the night there so I am all alone with laa who is totally zonked!

ray ray - you dont need to lanolise your ecobubs though :) they have a layer of PUL in them

kaz - yeah i think pip is too little to care hun, next year though!

well DH decided when we woke up to get up and ready as we were going to the easter show...mad rush..packed everything and off we went...came home poorer but hey was a nice family outing :)

LOTS of nappies washed and on the line drying :) always a nice sight seeing them all on the line drying :) love it!!!

Well I promised myself I wasn't going to order any more fluff for a while (have lost track of how many parcels I should have arriving next week, lol) but DH is giving me the shiats, and when I am pee'd off I shop, LOL. So I just ordered 2 itti bittis and some babylegs. :lol: I feel better now, lol.

:lol: Ray - He understands them!!! He knows the term 'Fluffy Mail' and uses the LS. And yes that is him in the pic with my brace. And those who want to see how close my avvy is, it does have my full body in it. You can even see how close the ensuite is to the bed, and even that is a hard walk.

I need to go and put the tiny nappies back together and pull him off the xbox. I want my bag packed!!

Woke up to such a gloomy rainy day (the Townsvillians will sympathise with me). All my washing on the line is now saturated... There were three lots on there, one lot fluff. My dryer can only dry so fast! I don't have a clothes horse/hoist for inside either. Where can I buy one?


I think I've come to the realisation that BBH are too wide crotched for DS. For the last few mornings he's woken up with sore looking red marks on the inside of his thighs. It's such a shame because they make up the majority of my stash.

Ali - where do I find the photos of your walking frame? I only read this thread lol I'm so slack. Might venture out into the big wide world of BB soon.

WOPB - Blue IB about 6 liners and lots of cream. Still awaiting my moogoo.

cm - if you find BBH a bit wide you will probably find berryplush wide too. You might like to try bundle of buns or genessa forge. Both will make them for you with velour lining (does cost a bit extra) - i love my gf's and i have ordered some BOB to try too (with velour). Have you tried pawpaw ointment to get rod of the rash and slk liners? probably been said before, sorry :redface::redface: see how you go without suede cloth or fleece for a few days..........?

Kitt3n - DS doesn't have a "rash" as such. Just sore red lines where the BBH seems to be cutting into his leg. I wasn't sure if cream would help them or they'd go away on their own so I added cream JIC. It's on the inside of his thigh, not his bum IYKWIM.

DS's Itti's fit him perfectly in the crotch, what else is similar to that? GF and BofB?


Oh by the way girls. I've just been looking through the MCN Gallery (I'm somehow allowed in there now, wasn't before so gave up trying). Anyway back to my point. Go look at all of your old photos. I think I've seen Maz's stash for both littlies about 3-4 times and each time it grows and it's in a different spot in the house. Go wayyyyy back in the gallery to find the older ones and compare them to the new ones, so funny.

R there any sales??? i need to buy more fluff too...

CM - what are you using over the BBH's? I know that if I used the PUL covers from BBH as well, my kids got red marks on their little thighs - but wool and mother-ease covers seem to be ok?

DS is making DD cack herself in the high chair at the moment by doing a silly dance in front of her.. so funny... hope she doesn't choke on her food though :rolleyes:

sounds like everyone had a good Easter. We did, although I haven't been able to touch an egg (choc or otherwise) due to Tyler's allergies. :( Oh well, my waistline is all the better for it.

Question about sleepwear... not so much nappies, but clothes.
Tyler is still good with a BBB with a wool or Maz cover over, but he sleeps in two piece pjs and just about every morning the waistband of his pants is wet cause it's slipped under the nappy and cover during the night. I think I'm doing the cover up tight enough/but not too tight IYKWIM. Any thoughts/suggestions? What do you little ones wear to bed over their night nappies? HELP!

WOTB:I think a camo blueberrry -DH did the last nappy change and it's missing from the stash.


ETA: would it be worth just putting him in a pj top and a NN with babylegs? He sleeps in a grobag.

Melbourne girls - Neco (green superstore) @ Nunawading (opposite Kathmandu) stocks greenkids. Just plain ones, but they stock them! I was asking them to stock girly fluff as well!

Marlene- i know how u feel... Public holidays when fluff is due is just not on... lol.

I didnt realise Maz was on holidays for a while... Cant wait to get more covers....I've missied out on the last few stocking (picked up 1 last time) My friends are all aking bout them (although they use sposies they like to cover them.... :rofl: Now i am hooked on Maz....

Wardy - most of the time Aricyn wears his night nappy, a pj top and a pair of longies or shorties over the top.

Although I have been noticing my husband putting the pj pants over a pair of shorties - over the night nappy :lol:

CM - I assume since you found the MCN gallery you have found the pic of me with my frame, and DH in the background.

I am using a lot of restraint, not buying when you lot enable. I have over 20 NB and small nappies in my suitcase now. I am thinking that I probably will ask for a CS because of the recovery time for a reconstruction, but we really need to see a repeat scan. Very sore today though. I think she has decided to lay on my back because my lower back has been so sore overnight.

Ali - I ventured out into the big wide world of BB and found your thread with the photo link. Thanks. You look nothing like I thought you would by the way, definitely not in a bad way. Just different. KWIM? Younger too. If a C/S means you're back up and mobile enough to take care of yourself and your family quicker then all the power to you. IMO it's no longer about the need to go natural, it's about the impact it will make on the whole family. Understand? No-one is going to have a go at you for choosing a C/S - and they can deal with me if they do :)

I found myself a clothes horse/hoist at bunnings today so my nappies are now attempting to dry on it. DF is going to buy me one of those fold up screwed to the wall outside ones to put under the patio too.

Wardy - DS at the moment is wearing bonds all in one suits to bed as it's getting a bit cool at night here and he refuses to use blankets. Sometimes I put two piece pyjama sets on him but I find he's half taken them off during the night.


Jess/HeyGoodLookin - I'm pretty sure to custom order some GF nappies you just send her an e-mail with the details of what you want the nappy made out of. She has all the different fabrics, snaps, embroidery designs on the website.

We got to use the little squirt last night OMG it was a bit of a disaster! I think the pressure was to high oh it was a mess!! Any tips on LS use?

Rach I would suggest some wool longies to wear a jammie pants and then his jammi top on top of that...that should stop any wicking issues.

Eej - It takes practise, hold it as low as possible in the bowl and only depress half way. If it is still too strong you can adjust the inlet tap that is on the wall inlet to reduce the pressure.

CM - I am 23, so yeah, young to be having my 3rd, but they are pretty close together. My stash has grown since the most recent photos, but it is still in the same location, well except the nb stuff, but that will go back away once miss L is born.

Well I am bored. Hohum.

Ali - I didn't mean it in a bad way, I'm sorry if it came across that way! Being 23 with your third on the way is fantastic, I would be in the same situation if my body would co-operate.


Is a little squirt really that great girls? Someone sell me on the idea of one? I find it easy to just roll the poop off into the toilet. If it's runny I put it in the shower with the hand held shower nozzle.

Dont worry CM, I didn't take it in a bad way ;) Em still regularly has splat poos that stick to the nappy, so I love the LS. It is also very useful for TT accidents. I havent used it on NB poo yet but apparently that is where it comes into it's element.

The most crucial part of the instructions if "only depress the trigger HALFWAY". if you hanv'et read that, and are depressing 100%, yes, your walls will be getting quite a washing down right about now.

i totally hearted our LS, the entire 28 months of use it got. Plus for rinsing mamapads, linen/clothing bilby was ill on.

i didn't get Easter brekky in bed, but dh has made me nice coffee and gave me a box of the seashell choccies. (not fair trade or childslave free, but the thought was there). bilby loved her "Miss Bilby" storybook by Colin Thiele.

Well Charlotte wet through a sandman last night for the first time in almost 10 months!! I had to change her at 1.30 this morning! Glad I have my new longies, for winter lol. Although I think I used a new insert in the first one last night, it has only been washed twice. hmmm.
