all this rain .. i go to put a sposie on gabriella and it stops lol ! but i have such a big backlog of clothes nappies that need to be washed dried , i need to stop the nappies before i run out (highly unlikely ;))

woo hoo on the new phnoe and load of fluff Marlene ! i got a new phone today , but i havent used it coz dh is on it and in love with it !!` i got an iphone !

i hope i get fluff tomorrow -it should be a lou lou !!

oh and WRT longies - there can be waiting lists (possom pouches has one mth wait atm ") so get in now = they really do make great pj pants!!

I love loopy lily woolies :) We have 3 pairs. And Parot Pants is another good one. You could also pop into NC and ask for customs. Quite a few girls on there do it for you. I have had 3 lots made up.

Ashton is in sposies for daddy days now. It's easier. He has requested a night nappy though cos he had to change Ashton 3 times over night :lol:

No other nappy news here. Oh yeah I have totally lost the love for ittis. They are the ONLY nappy I have that stains with panadol. Stupid!

Hope everyone is well. just dropping in quickly to let you know we ARE using our cloth, although my intro was a bit sketchy, 3 pooey nappies in a row :doh:
Am using the flushable liners and they seem to work just fine, maybe a tiny bit of poo on the edges but i just give en a 2 second rinse before I chuck em in the wash.
I dont know how long he is going to last in the NBs tho, he is already over 4 kgs and is on the 2nd to last snap on the HH NB's. will get out my BBB tomorrow and try them on. I couldnt even get my NB magicall to do up :-( but maybe i did it wrong?
Anyhoo, gotta go, got my sis here prolly wont be back on till wed when she goes home.

Pull out your smalls and see how they fit - Charlotte was very long at birth and was to big for NB nappies very quickly too. Glad I only had one! lol Flats and covers did us well for the first 6 weeks, also the small ittis were great on her too.
Remember though - the poo is a sign of approval! ;)


So DH came out with a classic - told me today that he wouldnt tell anyone to buy cloth nappies - because he saw the post earlier (Was is CM?) whose Hubby decided that it isnt easier on the wallet cos we dont stop buying them! and he agrees completely! :rolleyes:
So he thinks that if we had another one he would vote sposies :wall: and f it wasnt for the environmental aspects he wouldnt use cloth at all!!

FLuffy bubs? i remember FionaJill saying how good they were on Iain. i liked the look of them too, but somethign put me off getting one, maybe it was that they were front closing, and bilby suit(ed) side snaps? something like that.

Kazbah, that's great that two IRL green shops in Melb are stocking mcn (greenkids). I see baby beehinds being stocked at a green shop here called Eco-lateral. i started talking to the shop assistant about them, (she didn't know much about mcn at all and had loads of questions, so i had a rave about mcn to her. She liked hearing stuff from a real life user of mcn.

some baby boutiques and chemists sell peapods, i've seen cotton aio's in IGA supermarkets, i doubt the shop assistants know about how to use mcn, so i feel sorry for the people who buy them. (have to struggle on alone, unsure what to do).

i reckon, any brands that are marketed thru those sort of outlets (where the staff are not mcn - knowledgeable) there should be pamphlets about how to use, at the very least, business cards given out with nappycino and ozclothnappies website urls on them - so newbies are not left in the dark with it.

embroidered nappies - how many do you ladies have? I have 13 all up, has anyone come across troubles where the embroidery has weakend the nappies over time? I am wondering if I should or shouldnt get my sugar shots embroidered as they will become my true "workhorse" pretties......

you know how when you sew 2 lots of fleece together they become water repellant?? would this work for a a fitted sheet on a cot?? i am looking at making a fitted sheet for jacks cot (don't like flannelette sheets) and he usually ends up with a polar fleece blanket under his head..the way he sleeps!!!but would also like to stick a water-proof typ panel on the sheet aswell?? if you get what i am trying to say???

Marlene - that black dynasty is to die for isn't it. I have the matching babylegs! I've been trying to get a nappy in that minky for a while and rarely see it. When I do I'm never fast enough lol You'll most likely beat me but that's ok!

Those boosters are a bargain in comparison to all the other booster prices around the place, I make my own though.

GiGi - you make a good point about the information leaflets with mcn sales in non mcn stores. I do wonder though just how much they sell? The only ones I've found are peapods in baby stores before my venturing into MCN myself. The customer service person really had no clue about them either so I didn't bother trying them. Now I hear they're crap anyway lol

Well I am very disappointed today, looks like I will have to get rid of 5 GF's.
The fit just isn't right on ELise as much as I love them and they are so well made, boo hoo!!
Her waist is just too skinny so they dig into her thighs so much she had a deep purple indent line in her little cubby thighs.
I think I'll have to stick to side snaps cause she has a skinny mini waist and chubby thighs.

my cloth bucket is bursting to be washed and the kids are ferral .. have put nix in his room to play with toys , put gabbi down .. skulled a cuppa tea before i got interrupted ... got a txt from 3 mobile saying my acc is declined ... BULLS*IT .. its gots loads in there .. what ever they are stupid ...
um what else .. oh and then i got a txt from my doctor telling me i had an appt at 3pm today ... i had totally forgot ..

im not to keen on the look of the fluffy bubs .. im diggin rolled leg casings and they dont have them , so i can leave them the black dynasty is very nice though ..

i should be getting a lou lou in the mail hopefully today ... but in this weather they are a bugger to dry .. they take ages ... but they are great !!

got gabs in TT today as they wash and dry really quick .. but i have put on a bummis cover ... anyone else find these are MASSIVE ... its flappy and baggy on my little girls bum .. .it will be another 3 months or so before it fits her ... :(
