have gotten the kids colds and i went out for some retial therapy lastnight.....food shopping

BG - ADDICT!!!!! its good to have a big stash if your doing it alone most of the time.....and you know if some dont work for you the way you hope thqt you can sell them on

Jed left Mateauz in his AG last night over night

and he didnt leak through!!!! mighty happy about that

Must go and change him....last nights tea has no dout been recycled

I'm not a pocket girl Ren, but I did have some. They are ok for the price, But I'd reccommend Green Kids or Happy Heiny's first!! I found them a little "plastic-ee"

BG - holy cow woman, that's some stash! Way better than mine and I've beeing doing this for almost 2 years now! I really need to get some funked up nappies like ishflys or something. I don't have a single nappy with embroidery, bling, nothin'.

I am looking at getting a couple of Haute OSFM pockets (snap ons) AIO - are these good nappies?!?!?

Ren - are they AIO's or pockets? i'm confused. I've got the hautes pockets and I use them on both kids, and I quite like them. Like the traditional more than the breathable ones though.

crap too slow. the one I wanted was already gone n there was another one which I didn't mind, but hesitated...shouldve got my lappy, hind thought. Pity she doesn't do customs no more.

Haute Pockets - I had one, it was good while he was a small wetter but he quickly started wetting through. Also the PUL was very thin and I cut it a couple of times with my fingernails while stuffing.I'd go greenkids over HH or HP any day.

Fluffy mail! My custom mongie came yesterday, it seems very long in the crotch (as in, to make the crotch fit, it's up around his chest!) but OMG is gorgeous! Red minkee, with flame quilter's cotton cuffs, a firetruck embroidered in the lower left leg front and "future fireman" on the back right hip. Plus also got a beanie, am thinking if she'd do a matching one + scarf for me, it's brown fleck wool with a sheep on it. Plus there's a pair of pants waiting at the post office for me!

Kaz- u reminded me something abt the haute. the clear film of the pul has come away from the fabric in one of mine. Doesn't affect its job but just doesn't look good iykwim. The inserts r shaped for the haute only so I've trouble stuffing them sometimes cos the pul grips onto the microfibre n can't get the whole insert to fit inside the pocket without jamming it. But then again, I've my days...it could b just me!

I joined a bamboo co-op here and pretty much use only bamboo in my pockets, I don't like microfibre at all.

Seems I just missed the stocking - probably a good thing seeing as all my $$ are going into the wedding at the moment and we just paid for the honeymoon/family holiday. (taking DS)

Ali - thank-you for your positive BFP thoughts. I've checked DF's work roster and he'll be off when I need him

Jess - I would suggest just doing something small for her first birthday. She's not going to remember it IYKWIM. I would save my time and energy for at least her 2nd birthday which she will maybe remember but definitely enjoy more.

Are any of you t'ville girls feeling the chill today? I want to go back to bed.

Maz - bummer on being sick. If only mothers could take sick leave hey.

I bought a CT second from Ebay to check out the crotch width on DS before buying some regular ones. How long should it take to arrive? It's still not here and auction ended and payment cleared (paypal) on 1st of May. It's now the 8th and still nothing?

Jess - my thoughts are that first birthdays are a celebration of YOU doing a wonderful job! It's all about you ... she won't remember it (although she'll get some cool pressies) so invite your friends and thank them for their support over the past year!

Have ordered a pile of trainers from a second-hand nappy site, cleared out the seller of them

But they're sorta on layby, I only saw one but was offered the rest ... have to wait until payday next week to finalise the payment!

I had the same issue with the hautes, the PUL pulling away from the fabric, i just threw it in a hot dryer for a couple of mins to reseal (same with the tears I made with my nails)

Didn't even know dragonfly magik existed ... i'm not cool *cries*

hmph. Gorgeous nappies always come out when I can't buy

I cant even get into DH's online banking to pay a big bill, and I have to pay it today (He gave me his passwords and everything and it wont let me in)

Going to experiment today with some scrap fabric and then get DH to prewash the bamboo (Thanks Maz and Gigi - might to lots of dryer so maximum shrinkage is done then air it to get rid of the dryer smell. Going to do at least 3 to be safe.)

I got the purple sunset one (the one that was a second)

i didn't care if it was a second cos of the material not quite matching the other side - who cares!! Still work!! Plus its not TOOO girly, and should fit both the kids quite nicely.
