Hi gals - just popping in to say Hi, Ari is pretty much toilet trained now although we still wear nappies when we go out JIC and she just whips them off to go to the toilet. Whic works really well cause one nappy lasts us all day, no poop to deal with and I still get to enjoy my fluff - for another week or two anyway :-)

Still loving my night nappies - Maz yours is our fav and Renee from cuddlesncloth has a "special" one for me apparently - feel so spoilt :-)

Nana - Bumgenius have a 12 mth warrenty on their elastic - just give Jayne a buzz at Nurture and she will fix them up for you. I have lost the elastic in one of our and now I think the PUL nis going in my AIO - it's a bit puckered but we are nearly finished with them so not worth replacing.

Anna - hope you have a good time at the wiggles - we are off to see them tomorrow - Ari can't wait :-)

Gigi - I'm sure you will do a great job in nappy hunting for others, you could turn it into a consultancy business :-)

Anyways hope you are all well and enjoying the fluffyness

Maz hun, i know your pain isn't from your urinary tract, but if your pee is hurting due to the acid of it with the op you've had, get Jed to grab you some ural to neutralise the pee - makes it much less uncomfy... also helps to flush you out a bit so you won't retain as much fluid...

nappy wise - am about to pull the last lot of prewashing off the airer, put them together, and find homes for all the nappies that are, at this point, homeless... well, that's the plan - am likely to still be sitting here in a couple of hours relaxing as DH has ORDERED me to do today...

Maz - Is it the drugs or do you need to go back to the Dr? Check your temp hun

Anna - 'Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, *argh we ran over someone*' Hope the boys enjoy hun, we were thinking about getting Sarah tickets for her birthday but DH decided to take her shopping instead and she chose cheaper stuff If we had taken Em we would have had her in the Dorothy NN we have

DH is out op shopping for wheelchairs at the moment, so if he finds one a) I will be very happy to not pay the hire fees to hire one, and b) I will have some independance back, and be able to get out of the house!!! It will be a bit safer to use a proper wheel chair than an office chair though.

Really should turn the fan in the lounge over the nappies back on. Dont know why it keeps getting turned off while there is wet washing in there Males.

    Hi Girls,
I'm back from helping out at the expo. I had a great time. I was so helpful lol *toots own horn* well I felt helpful. Shell and Cath from CT are so lovely! I was given a bumble bee and a giraffe print for helping out. So happy with that!
I'm back tomorrow to look around for myself. Will buy some IB i think.

A q about bamboo velour, does it go a bit stiff after a while or does it stay soft and lovely for ever?

Jess - I thought you were on a nappy ban! Hmm I suppose when you have a DH that doesn't change nappies, he won't notice will he? lol

I just bought my first night nappy. A sandman. You all talk about them so I thought it should be the first one I try. A few weeks ago DS decided he was going to wake up during the night complaining of a wet nappy and needed changing before going back to sleep. DF's solution was to put him in sposies at night much to my disappointment. I was told NO MORE NAPPY BUYING! Well today I convinced him. So I've got a sandman and wool soaker on the way yippee. Michelle from SHP is so helpful.

Oh and I also convinced DF that I should start buying smaller sized nappies for the next baby (that isn't conceived yet, fingers crossed this is my month). We only started DS in cloth when he was big enough for larges so we don't have anything for NB, small or medium. Told him if I buy maybe two or so each month we'll have a great stash when the baby arrives and he'll hardly notice the money missing from the account.

Today is a FABULOUS day! Well except that DF is now on night shift.

Eej - glad you had a good time at the expo hun, hope it took your mind of DH being away.

Ali - I think you can buy second hand wheelchairs from the disability services stores in town. Not sure how much they are, but maybe worth checking out if DH can't find any at op shops and hiring is expensive.

BG - Sounds like all of your nappies are under control. Much left to do before gremlin arrives?

Saram - YAY on TTing - excuse me ignorance but how old is Ari? Well done to her!

Maz - please oh please go rest up hun. We don't want M-A-L nappies if it means you've worked yourself into your sick bed for them. Wait until you're all healed up THEN worry about a stocking. We can all wait - right ladies!

Fluff - You must have been in IB heaven yesterday. Why oh why can't I be a part of all of this expo fluffy madness.

WOPB: Dunno - daddy changed him before leaving for work. Bet it's wet though.

think we're mostly under control now - need to clear a spot for nappies in our room (Gremlin will live in there for a while) so that we can have easy access. need to get bucket/bin for dry pailing (will get next week i think) ummmmm, not much else to do really... i feel almost ready for her to arrive...

who am i kiddin - more than ready but that's cos everything else can be sorted once she's here!

Well I just had my first true Hyena'ing experience (for Jess) but I didn't win!! I can't believe how nerve wracking it is! My palms were all sweaty, my heart was racing as I kept refershing, refreshing, refreshing....I was fixated on the screen and didn't notice anything around me...I was like a mad woman...PMSL. Then I was sooooo dissapointed when I didn't win the nappy and my heart just sank, then I read on FB that someone else had won it for her and I was all excited again, LOL. It was like a crazy emotional roller coaster.

Jess.....I am glad I didn't make it to the expo, I think I would have went crazy if i saw all that newborn fluff, LOL, even though I am not pg or plan to be any time soon I think I would have left there with a whole stash if it, PMSL.

CM....sandmans are the best, my fave NN SO FAR!! Although I don't have a Maz NN yet.

Maz....Hope you feel beter soon hun, you must be so OVER IT by now!

BG....how I envy you hun, setting up for baby, it's so much fun. Enjoy and remember every moment of it lovely lady.

WOJB...Sandman NN, Maz fleece cover, camo.

Saram - We had an absolute BLAST at the Wiggles. I didnt once want to be run over by the big red car (and lucky cause they didnt bring it with them, guess it might have ended up being a big red bus instead hahahaha). They are way more entertaining for littlies and poor parents live vs dvd.

Erm to make this cloth related -

I *heart* my organic velour Swaddlebees.

nooooooooooooo - she can't be that late!!! just can't be!! (and the Ob agrees lol!) - we've been told it will be no more than a couple of days past EDD, if he lets me go that far. 15 days to go... not that i'm counting

Ural should help with the ouchies a bit babe - you can have it up to four times a day for five days i think. hopefully it will give you some relief at least to get you through til Tues....

nappy wise - well, DH's bestie didn't want to know what we were having and we got all the way til today - he walked in and seen the gorgeous flats i got from Maz, the nappy free time mat from Maz - and DH said Her... ummm der! he finally worked it out. he's over the moon though - he has three boys. his brothers wife (a very dainty little Chinese woman) had a baby a few days ago - a whopping nine pounder - i cant imagine how she carried it (c/s birth). i think our little Gremlin may become his "substitute" niece being due and born so close together...

HGL - which CGR were you after?? I got one for DS, I wanted the one with Lions but she'd already sold it

BG - I saw BW who mentioned she was looking for a teething necklace for you. I found them later and a friend of mine brought one but I didn't have her number to text her to let her know where to find them - did she get one for you???

I was very well behaved, mostly cause I didn't have much time to look around at other nappy stands! But I brought some stuff off Jayne, she had BumG nb AIO for $10, can't go wrong with that so I grabbed a couple, a CGR for DS, some flushable liners (haven't tried them yet). Only spent about $100 so I was a good girl.

Bloody exhausted after working 6 hours but very well rewarded with fluff! Off to bed (yes, I know it's 8pm!)

PS what on earth is hyena'ing for someone??? Can someone please explain it to me?!

Maz, dont know if this will help/work for you but if your drain is between your front and back 'bottoms' and going no 1s is getting in the wound, you could try peeing standing up (but still facing the door!!) and bending over at the waist. After I had little man. my middle 'bottom' bit was banged up and this stopped the wee's getting anywhere near it.
Bit TMI, but it may help
