Shells - I'll be going to the expo in Bris if you wanted to meet up?
CM - Can't help you with the bling boosters I'm sorry - I don't have any! Maybe send Mel a PM - she's the bling queen.
TK - I haven't heard from itti either since I sent them 5 of my ittis for replacement about 4 months ago. Didn't answer the email that I sent a few weeks ago chasing them up. I've given up
Mel - darn it - I am in two minds - on one side it is good that it is not just me, but on the other side it is not good that responses aren't given! Will definitely call tomorrow - $$ already transferred but no nappies...
It is a shame too cause I had heard such good things about their nappies
Double post
I havent had any issues with Itti getting back to my emails... have been in touch with judith and deanne in the last few days about other stuff ;)
They have/are going through some big changes in the office and software issues plus the move so i would try again for sure...
Love the WW Anna- Beautifully soft inner... i think i have to wash more cos it leaked... (but i only washed it once... the booster is rather thin compared to others i have... r they absorbent... they look and feel great...
Jess - they have 10 layers of bamboo - so yeah they are very absorbent. just have to be washed more I think honey.
Arimeh - is it only the Snoozywuns that have the sherpa inner, or is it the day time Widdlewuns that have sherpa also?
i remember researching night nappies yonks ago, and WW Snoozywuns was one of the few brands to offer natural fibre inner (the sherpa), but i cna't remember what their daytime nappies inners are made out of.
(hearing PP talk about the soft inners of the WW).
ALIOOPS - i started to read Maz's thread, but not the update on the surgery - poor lovey - at least she'll get enforced rest - and relief from the pain i hope. poor maz.
KatieRabbit - the main reason for buyforbaby is selling mcn. so i don't think there is a section for BUYING MCN. but there will be sections for buying
- fitteds
- pockets
- all in ones
- covers
- woollies
all the different nappy styles.
it's the kind of site where you can browse a certain amount, but to make bids on auctions, you need to register with the site.
did you check out the ozclothnappy site?
join the yahoo group?
the Perth chapter of ozclothnappies is pretty into meetups, so i would join in, and use that as an opportunity to meet other mcn mums, see their mcn stashes, that way you'll get to see lots of brands in real life.
on nappycino, register there too, then go to the states page, post on the WA page so you can find out who else lives near you, whether they have meetups.
i did this in my state, and went along to nappy sewing meets. i wasn't sewing, but i learnt so much hearing the other mums talk, and looking at what they were making. Hearing about the fabrics, seeing firsthand how they were being used, helped me understand better, what i wanted to buy.
other incidental things happened too, like seeing babies being changed in mcn, at the meetups, and for me, being pregnant, knowing nothing about mcn, and wanting to use it on my yet unborn bilby, it was a real education. The practicalities, of using mcn when out of home, was something i wasn't able to imagine - then i saw it - had it explianed - and realised - this is entirely do-able.
wotbb: blueberry trainer
i had words with dh about how much skill it takes to take a trainer off the clothes horse - he SAID he agreed, it's not hard, but we shall see!
trying mcn on my friend's 6kg five month old tomorrow, not that i have much that will fit her anymore, but gotta start somewhere, to help my friend work out what to buy her. e.g i have a cute tooshies OSFA bamboo delights, i'll use this to try on bub, if it fits ok, i'll suggest a cute tooshies ai2 minky outer, to my friend. we can work out her rise, measure her waist and thighs, try a medium swaddlebees and medium lotus on her, to see if narrow crotch nappies suit her. we have a cushie tushie couture OSFA to try on her too (my friend's first 2nd hand purchase).
so hard to decide whether to give my friend, my little squirt, whether we are really finished with it yet. bilby seems to be toilet trained. but i don't want to be too complacent, then she regresses and i get caught out. Even tt-d kids have accidents, right? or am i an idiot for thinking i should hold on to the LS?
My friend is wanting to change over 100%, all or nothing. i'm not even sure how many mcn she will need, for her five month old, to go fulltime. (she wants to use only minky pockets and ai2's.) i hope the minky magicalls work on her bub, that would be a cheaper way to pad out a minky pocket/aio stash? At that age and size, bilby was in fitteds and covers, most of the time, so i don't have the knowledge needed.
I am in desperate need of a fluff fix...BUT $$ do not allow this :(
so i shall just have to wait until friday..when i will be in IB heaven :D
Poor Jack is back to having hydrazole on his ol' fella.... his foreskin has like a little ulcer/blister...more like a little ulcer...if it isn't any better by this afternoon..off to the Drs we go....it is red and looks sore..BUT he isn't complaining...
shells bells , i will be there at the BBH stall ! were usally pretty busy so if you pop in and say hi that'll be all you get from me  at least im not preggers this year ... (pmsl not a dig at you mel ;) ) it was flat out i didnt get a chance to look at anything !!
Lea - I'm confused as to why it would be a dig at me?
Gigi - the widdlewuns and snoozys are all microfleece inners now.
I've had my fluff fix now - since we got "stimulated" I was allowed to spend a few bucks on getting the kids nice nappies (instead of the heaps of workhorse nappies we seem to have!) so I've ordered 2 bundles of buns, got a CGR on the way (secondhand), a GF nights on the way (shanks Mel!) and my DM that I scored in the last stocking.
So thats enough for the kids. I was going to buy them clothes - but out of money now!! Who needs clothes in Queensland anyway.. LOL
WOTB's: still night nappies. I'm so slack. DD only just got up.
Morning Ladies,
Quick question: I know I can't use my penaten cream on DD without a liner when she starts to go a bit pink, but what about baby powder?? Can I use some dry powder on her itsy bum??
Aw man why cant they have a baby expo in Townsville? I would have happily helped out.
I have to add the Ecobubs to my 'Love' list - I only washed it once, grabbed it in a hurry to put on Rivers butt cause I couldnt find my other AIOs, panicked the entire shopping trip that it would leak..........not a drop of wee leaked out.
WOJettsB - a very very wet LL night nappy but he's quiet for the first time in a long time so Im too scared to offer to change it just yet lol
WORipsB - another very very wet Sandman NN. I can hear him giggling though so time to get him up.
WORiversB - BBH and Maz fleecie cover
Fluffy mail!!! My HH and 2 swaddlebees! I got one medium and one large. the M looks really small. WIll have to try it before I wash it I think.
The HH seems very plasticy...does this ge better over time? I bought it cause it for the fact it was a breast cancer pink ribbon one more than anything.
Gigi we don't mind the magicalls I think they would last your friend a while with a 6 kg bub if they work. They are very wide though.
eej - the swaddlebees are very trim, and I can still get a medium on DS who's over 10kg. They're great, and I'm soooo tempted to get more, especially since weewuns have clearance stock available in medium. I have one in large too, and it seems a little too big still. And the HH are a bit plasticy, but it's one of the few aplix-fastening nappies DS can't get off! Not my fave, but yeh, they're red and black, so that's ok with me! I'm such a fashion victim.
I think I may just e-mail WildChild directly and ask her how to put my damn booster back together. Seems quite trivial but with my current state of mind it's doing my head in.
I really have no idea what else I was going to respond to on here. Sorry ladies.
Just heard from ittibitti - they apologised for not contacting me earlier - busy with move and preparing for expo's etc. Have done the ring around on both ends to check not at another post office near me and they have run to make sure it hasn't been sent back.
We are now starting a missing parcel claim - they said it can be a long process and I said that is fine as bubs won't be here until September so we have some time! That will teach me for not registering the mail!!
Ahhh I see..
Won't be pregnant at any others though ;)
