Well I got all excited because I nabbed a click clack cover.

Went back about 10 minutes later and a NN magically popped up as being available that was sold out earlier. Obviously someone put it back!

    YAY FOR ME!

So I'm now the proud owner of a click clack cover and a Sage hungry caterpillar NN

Yay I got the Bear and the Hungry caterpillar fruit night nappies Dh was lurking over my shoulder counting down the minutes heh. He was groaning about it at first til I reminded him I only had 4 night nappies which arent enough when they take so long to try so I said Id get just one but then he realised they were from the same maker as Jetts star NN so he said get two!

I had considered getting a medium LL nappy BUT knowing River he would outgrow it fast so I decided to not be greedy (I got him another pre loved snoozywun instead).

CM - still on a hyena high from the stocking?

BLOODY OATH! Oops am I allowed to say that? lol
Love the thrill of a stocking. Sweaty palms, racing heart, twitchy fingers and shaking hands. It feels even better when you succeed!!!

I've had a fantastic few days. Nabbed the Abby Gro Patchie that I wanted, and now the maz stocking too! YAY!

Congrats on all of your purchases ladies - such a rush

And to Maz - a big WELL DONE! We all knew you'd be a success, now I can imagine your grin ear to ear

WOPB: Yellow BBH Magicall - can't wait for it to be a Licious Lullabye NN or Click Clack Cover!

thx for the opinion re bubblebubs. i decided against a swap for them, a tad wide in the crotch me thinks. they were nice nonetheless, resisted a minky dot one. i sold her nappies instead haha.
now ive swapped 3 nappies & sold 2. still got a heap to swap/sell...undecided how to go about it so they shall sit in my shelf for now LOL they r deemed obsolete atm

anyhoe, im contemplating returning to work some time and will need to send monsta to childcare. how many nappies do u think i would need to send with him for a day so that i have an idea of how many of my 'obsolete' nappies to keep.

hehehe... I'm still suffering lack of sleep from a teething bubba and a 2.5 year old that crawls into our bed and kicks the crap outta us every night.

So my brains aren't really attached to my skull these days.

WOAB: Still his night nappy cos I can't be bothered fighting him at the moment.
WOMB: BumG. She was up EARLY this morning, and is grizzly, grinding her teeth together and pretty darn miserable so I rocked her back to sleep and hummed a song from Dirty Dancing whilst rocking and she fell asleep on my shoulder. I must be an awesome hummer cos my singing sucks.

Em stole some cheese from one of the other kids at CC yesterday. She has the poops today Oh well, just means someone has to do some more nappy washing, and remembering to put the hydrocortizone on every change.

DH is talking to a Leiutenant today. He might be put on the next course (sometime next year) if they can't persuade the agency to take a photocopy. But if that happens then I definitely have DH home until I am fully recovered - however long that takes. We had a good long talk about the repercussions of not going this time, and he would still be doing his job and getting practice at the bits that weren't covered properly by the company he did his apprenticeship with so it's not as bad as it could be. He has the theory down pat, but hasn't done much sheet metal work. Welding however is perfect So it just means longer before a deployment. I can wait and have deployment fluff when we don't have debts

Teru - I dont have any bubblebubs. I like the prettiness to be on the main part of the nappy, the tabs are too small to notice most of the pretties!! If the Elmo was on the main part of the nappy I might have gotten one ages ago.

Maz - glad the stocking went off well for you hun. I wish I could have bought something but we have to get back on our feet and with 80 nappies I can't justify them as a need right now. Glad I have that many nappies though. Lesson Learned though - Work out the budget BEFORE going car shopping!! And dont let DH talk you into a car he wants when the current family car will do the job for him but not me

    WOEB: BumG and soaker.

Kaz - Trying to get Ob to sign off on a CS. FIL has to go home so not sure what we are going to do next week. DH might need leave or we might need mum to come up early. That's if Ob is still unco-operative tomorrow. Time is a luxury I no longer have. Anyone got a clue where my crochet hooks are to break my waters? I know where the stanley knife is but I dont quite trust myself to not pass out doing a FB CS!!

I soooooo want to put little nappies into use NOW!!! I havent slept when the kids sleep in ages, too sore and keep getting woken by prelabour. I have nested as much as I can and I just want to go now!!

    Waaaaaah! I missed the stocking!!

Ah well, next time. Think I have decided to wait now till baby Boo arrives before I buy anything else. That way I can try as I buy and see what suits. Should have plenty to get us through in the early days.

Teru, i put bilby in one (short) day a week child care at 16 months old.
the centre wanted 7 nappies per day.
i supplied 7 swaddlebee PUL pocket sidesnappers, a bbh wetbag.
Nappies i knew were leakproof on her, suited her shape. All same to put on.
the workers requested flushable liners, so i got those, and laid one inside each nappy.

on the forms to sign bilby up for childcare, where it asks "any allergies, irriations etc", i put "disposables nappies, disposables wipes, most sunscreens".

so i STARTED, how i meant to go on. being upfront that i wanted NO sposies on bilby. They knew from day one, she COULDN"T have sposies, so they worked with that.

that centre used cloth wipes for EVERY child (i was amazed) and laundered them on the premises.

the 2nd centre we went to, use paper towels.

so i was prepared to send along cloth wipes or nature babycare wipes (the only ones in the supermarket WITHOUT propylene glycol in them) but didn't have to.

You do have to be prepared to educate and re-educate childcare workers over and over about how to put them on, what a wetbag is etc. I just accepted that, as part of getting what bilby needed, to be in mcn. Even though it amazed me that the same CC worker seemed to still ahve no idea, after four months of putting bilby into mcn two days a week, every week. Some people pick it up quickly, some don't.

if you have your child in CC for two or more days, having those two days at least a day apart e.g Mon and Wed, gives you time to get the inserts dry. So if you had your child in CC for two subequent days (e.g Tues, Wed), then you might need 14 nappies for example, or 14 inserts. (cos the outers dry fast).

One of my girlfriends gave me her trial nappies as is only having one bub and decided not to use cloth (yay for me). I got given 4!! Small -8kg Imse Vimse White Covers with couple of nappies. They are brand new with tags but don't know where she got from. Would really like to swap for different sizes as would like to keep maybe 1, but I already have 3 small covers and I use a combo of AIO's and fitteds so don't need heaps of covers. Anyone know who supplies them and if they might send me 'replacement' sizes if sent 3 back??

When you find out though, please let me know.

I just received my first pair of soakers yesterday and I need to lanolise them. (they don't come pre-lanolised from SHP do they?) I bought the spray type, any tips on how to best do it?

No idea what FIL is going to use for night nappies. The drawers are empty and the basket has odd bits in it. Not sure if the ones that got washed the other day got hung out either.

CM - I have the same phone. I love it!! Only problem is the ringers are so long on it. Did you get the Voda deal with unlimited blackberry browsing?

Lea - I always squash them as much as possible between a couple of towels before airing them. No other suggestions unfortunately.

Teru - I send 6, and usually 2 come home clean and dry. They like to have a couple spare JIC Em needs them.
