Bilby is now boycotting the toilet insert, toilet inserts are for BABIES obviously, and she is a Big Person, according to her. She is still perched precariously on the loo seat, feet on a bigger step stool, but SCREAMS if i put the toilet insert on the loo (which she really needs but REFUSES to use).

She labels each wee or poo as "baby bee" (little wee), "mummy bee" (medium sized wee) or "daddy bee" (enormous wee). and now she does funny faces (just worked out how to manipulate her eyebrows and eyeballs) whilst on the loo. Loo time is a hoot at our place.

pmsl at loo time at your place gigi - sounds like bilby is a very independent little girl

TT has taken a big backwards slide with Ari refusing to go and screaming if I put her anywhere near a toilet - so we are going to back off for a while and she if she initiates anything herself in the next few days.

Thought there may be Ali news in here ... but no word yet????

PMSL!!!! I took a day offline yesterday to make sure I had some time with my bigger 2 before Leah arrives, and time with my Dad too because he arrived last night, so spent some time with my family before I go spend a few days in hospital. Anna, CM, Gigi and Sarah, your mobile numbers are in my phone, you will know pretty much right away. Just make sure Danni gets to do the BA

Mum accidentally gave Em Sarah's milk the other day. So we have reaction poo, and now we have hydrocortizone going on her. Good thing it rubs in fully and doesn't affect the nappies.

Nearly finished that soaker, just about 5cm to go before I get to the back ribbing, and I decided I am going to do some ribbing around the leg holes so they can be a bit bigger and still give leg seal.

We are all dying to hear that you've had that little lady thats been causin you so much trouble Ali!!!! And to see pics of newborn fluffy goodness!!!

Grizzly bub here - she only had one sleep today, and really still needs two to be the happy cheery lovely little bub we all adore. Trying to convince her that her vegies need to be eaten - not thrown

WOAB: ummm dunno.. something that DH put on.
WOMB: just a flat. She's eating and it gets messy so didn't want to spoil a good nappy or a cover.. haha!

Ali it is so exciting that tomorrow is the day! Can't wait to see your BA.

I am thinking of trialling a few eco bubs for night nappies / longer sleeps. Any thoughts? I might also get another GK for the same thing.

Thanks eej & melbel - I just checked my washing machine and I can choose between hot or cold... how do I know what the temperature of the hot water will be?

We are getting a new machine sometime before bub's arrival - should I wait until then and look for a temp feature???

Check your hot water heater TK that's what determines how hot your water will be.

    Thanks melbel

Follow up question on the prewashes, I can't get hot water in my machine - the hose is not working... Will that make a big difference? Also do I need to do many prewashes on my covers and pockets with out the inserts? Or do I just do a lot of washes on my inserts and boosters?

Thanks for all your lovely help!

Not having Hot water won't make a huge diff...may just take a wash or two longer to reach full absorbancy with cold water.......
