How long does your EB last with the standard EB insert???:
On aricyn? bout 2.5 - 3 hours if he hasn't had a HUGE drink.
He drinks like a camel these days - just drinks and drinks and drinks...
Hmmm maybe I should get him tested for diabetes..
My Eco with standard insert lasts about 2.5hrs on River.
Mel - its the age chickie. Jett and Ripley go through stages of drinking heaps and heaps, and then not asking for drinks for awhile, then drinking heaps again. Theyve always drunk more than the norm though, we always have sippy's full of water around the house so they can grab a drink when they need too.
didn't you say he had lost weight as well Mel?
Mild alarm bells are ringing for me.......smell his breath, is the a fruity but acidy smell kinda like nail polish remover but sweet? That would be a big clue. If his weight loss and drinking were due to diabetes you would expect normally this breath thing because the body is making toxic acids called ketones.....
He could just be at that age though where they drink like a fish but it wouldn't hurt to get him a finger ***** test just to be sure......

yeah he lost a kilo in the last month. he's down to 13.5 now. dunno bout his breath, DH never makes him clean his teeth so its always a bit stinky.. LOL
Oh and he likes plain things to eat.. plain bread, plain biscuits - its either plain or he'll ask for lollies all the time.
what you eat has zero to do with getting type 1 diabetes or not...it is an autoimmune disease......
Yeah I know that - I think I was more wondering because he goes from between craving sweet things to craving plain things that maybe that's an indicator of his BSL or something.

Ecobubs was one of the first nappies I bought - I wish they came in more colours :) My whole stash would be Eco's then LOL. Do they come in any other plain colours other than pink and cream Mel?
However my stash is looking a bit blue so mebbe I should just get pink (or magenta :rofl:) to spice it up hahahaha
WOZB - New peppermint IB - sounds good enough to eat - but I can smell what is in it uh-oh .... :).
Poor bugger went down for a sleep this arvo was only asleep for about 20 mins and then was up crying - usually he wakes up happy so what the - I got him up, and then smelled something sour - he is teething and his poor widdle bum was bwight red!
So if teething and their bot is sore - what CAN you put on it when using cloth you old hands????

RE: cream - we just use moogoo - unless its really bad and she has bleeding sores - then I use sudocream and a liner overnight - usually clears it up.

oh oh oh..I have alittle spray bottle of lanoliser that I use when we change...i turn the longies/soaker inside out and just spray around the crutch for a noice smelling toosh again :)
I have surcome and bought a secondhand eco to try.......and lets see how much I like it on tank boy and watch out ;)

Oh Kitten that was me with the ivory nappies in the 'Fluffy mail receiving' thread. Do you think I can be cured of only buying white mcns? I am truly a bit anxious about them not being white and I look at all the beautiful nappy sites- BoBs, GF, Abby Gro etc and I can't get any as they are all coloured and (God forbid to say it here!!!) embroidered. I just love them but can't get past the 'white' nappy issue. Note to self- mention it to therapist...

I thought that you were meant to clean wool soakers the LEAST amount possible, something to do with washing out the natural lanolin in the wool or something? I've only had mine a few weeks but they don't smell so I have no intention of washing them yet?

Grrrrr. I can't unload these brand new nappy covers because were ordered too long ago and doesn't know where ordered them from.

So Ive worked out that blueberry, berry plush and CTs are all too wide for us, which is a shame becuase I like those ones a lot they are so soft and pattable!
I just got a full line of cloth hung out, and I think it was in the nick of time as he's about to wake up again for a feed. It only tool 2 days to get it hung out there :rolleyes: yesterday was a bit of a write off with constant feeding. Ah well.

Woohoo!!! I finally had some fluffy success! So far Josh fits in (and didnt leak out of) his Pop-In, BumG and Ecobubs wool!!! OMG Im feeling soooo much more encouraged now!!!
Giving the CT another shot atm.....Im starting to think he just has little chicken legs tho, cos when I do up the CT so the legs are a snug fit, the waist looks like its cutting him in half! Maybe I just need to put them away til he grows up n out abit more lol

Fluff - DS is 11.8kgs and he fits into a large IB with the wings still touching in the middle. He's not chub but he's not a little runt either.
We have perfect nappy drying weather here too! I don't have any nappies to dry though PMSL I have a few boosters in the dryer at the moment because we're leaving soon and I needed some spares dry.
Everyone wish me luck with the In-Laws tonight. We're staying a night at their place on the way to our camping spot. *sigh* There's always so many dramas with them - I can never do anything right.

Not much going on here. I'm at work (teeheehee norty) and kids are at daycare - the carer there agreed with me that DS is quite skinny - not much to him, and said that his nappies keep sliding down when you pull his pants down. And i'm like.. um... you can do them up quite tight you know.. lol...
She said he had eaten most of his lunch so he must do the "eating" thing there - and not at home :rolleyes:... oooh crap I don't think I gave them a dummy for his sleep time. whoops. Hope he's not TOO annoying for them.

Aww CM thank you!!! The sleep vibes must have worked we didn't have any wake ups during the night but she did wake up at 530! But that's a lot better than recently.

Leah has only had 1 sposie on in her life - last night when DH was having a sook about being tired - and then I said something along the lines of 'If I can do it in hospital with limited mobility and avoid using any sposies at all, you can get over it and do them!'
All the MW's loved her nappies, and some of the mums asked about them too. She hasn't had a leak yet, even with the SCN nurses changing her, all were done high and tight.
She doesnt fit the CT's yet, skinny little thing that she is. All her sized nappies are on the smallest setting or have the tabs meeting in the middle, so the OSFM are too big. She is wearing 00000 though, even with her chunky MCN butt!! I never thought I would have one soooo tiny!! Her head is the same size as Sarah's dolly's head!!
I am mobile again (slowly) and am building my leg muscles back up to be able to walk more. Went out with Mum to BigW today to get Leah some clothes that fit because even the 0000 suits we had thinking she would only be in them for a week or 2 are huge on her, but now taking it really easy for the rest of the day.

what is a good price for Itti's either individually or as a bundle i think there is something like 7 or 8 nappies (IB) and 2 BBH magicalls (1 minkee 1 smooth) i have no idea what would be an ok price...
