What was his BSL hun? Had he been fasting for an hour before it?

Yeah bout an hour and a half since his last thing to eat - and it was 7.7. Mine was 4.1. DH was about 6.6 (or 6.4 can't quite remember).

Lea - My mum is gluten intolerant, so she eats the gluten free stuff from the natural health food store up here on the coast, they have everything!! sausage rolls are most awesome. Plus the fish and chip shop around the corner from us here also has gluten free bbq chook (stuffing usually isn't gluten free) plus all their fish and chips are guaranteed to be gluten free too. I think its becoming more the norm. I lived on the diet for about 6 months when I was younger cos they thought it was my problem, but my problem was IBS. Hope they sort her diet out soon

Maz - thanks for the reminder about the lint brush - did think of that in the middle of the night - darn wake-ups due to pg. but forgot this morning. Had to go and find the darn thing but it's working a treat. mind you I'm going thru quite a number of lint sticky sheet papers. Oh well, will just have to remember not to put them together next time without a lingerie bag between them.

Mel - Yeah that is too high, I would be taking him to the Dr. Might mean a few less wet nappies if you can get his BSL under control.

Liz - I find the velvety brush works better than the sticky rollers. Lasts longer too I only ever use anything on clothes that I am going out in though. My trakkies always have a lint line on them.

Leah did another nice big poo for DH. Might manage 3 today coz she usually doesnt do one during the day, saves them till after dark.

Maz hun when i had GD...anything over 5.0 was HIGH so said my diabetes endocrinologist.... i was getting numbers up near 12 some days...my dad is diabetic and he can sometimes be up near 20!!!!!
BUT they say Jacks birth weight was NOT because of the diabetes...i beg to differ!!!!

hmmmm nappies....well as i already told you...i am in love with my ecobubs just devine!!! simply devine...

You're correct Maz.....8 is used dagnostically as the benchmark for diagnosis of diabetes here in australia.
I think he is probably fine Mel.......if he had only eaten 1.5 hours previously and the meal contained carbs then his blood sugars would have been peaking right at the time you decided to test him which explains the 7.7. Also young children have a wider range for what is acceptable than adults as they tend to swing more. for example what is considered a hypo (low blood sugar) in a newborn is lower than that for an adult and the same at the other end......7.7 1.5hours after food especially if there were carbs in it is not bad.....
But my disclaimer is if you are still worried get him checked out by a doctor.
Also as you first raised this issue a few weeks ago now I would expect that if it was type 1 developing he would be a lot further down the road to being quite noticeably unwell by now. When I was diagnosed I had gone from healthy to 7 kilos lighter in the space of a month......it is usually quite dramatic.
Again though if in doubt, ask the GP......

How long do you guys do nappy free time for? I am lazy, I just undo her nappy and let her lay there for a while and air her bits, maybe 5 mins a day?

Nappy free time.....um use to be 3 times a day but now someone has a bad habit of leaving puddles everywere and then deciding its fun to splash in them, worse when he does a pooh and there's corn in it..he thinks he can re eat it

Congrats Melbel!!

I recieved my Maz-a-licious licious lullaby (LL) and newborn turtle cove AIO (OOAK) yesterday and I love... love love love!

Showed DP the LL and he thinks bubs will struggle to lay down with all the boosting... LOL ole ye of NFI!! I told him once he sees them in action he will understand!

Also showed my best friend today and she loves the turtle cove print

Have taken to showing anyone who comes over my new fluff purchases... I think they think I am loopy but I don't care!
