oh no Kitten! Was it registered? Hopefully it comes today for you.
no hun it wasnt registered - my postie is always here by 9:30 so its not coming today, unless he comes on his afternoon run (which is very rare)
OMG! We have sun, we have sun, we have SUN!!
And I have a line full of nappies!!! Wooohoooooo!!
WOJB....GK minky times Zebra.
The evasive Poo appeared this morning!! Maz cover only just contained it too, so no doubt it would have leaked from a sposie!! But so typical, she pooed in the few hours before the CHN came over so she has lost a little bit more weight. No more than 3 hours between feeds, day and night, and expressing after each feed. Really gotta fatten this baby up!! She is just over 2.5kg!! Not happy. Really dont want to end up back in hospital.
Kitt3n - Hope it shows soon!! My PO have forgotten to card me before so could it be at the PO?
WOLB: MAL AIO
WOE&SB: NFI, They all sleeping but I have to go wake Leah for a feed.
I know Marlene I do too! How good is the sun!!! I have nappies out too.
Kitt3n my mummy and me stuff took ages.. a few weeks. I thought it had gone missing to but it did eventually show up! fingers crossed.
Well
If YOU were a lilac sewn in D'Lish that had only been worn once - where would you go?
Man, I cannot find it anywhere and cannot figure out for the life of me where it could be - I checked all the areas (cupboard, Z's room, bucket, down the back of the washing machine, etc) - and then checked some random spots like the kids cupboards etc if they got swept up with other stuff. It is basically new and I cannot find it.
Only thing I can think of is that my daughter *helped* a couple of days ago and has put it in some logical-to-her spot. Usually she is very good, but mebbe she got distracted - she likes to pick out Z's next nappy and often helps put the wet ones in the bucket etc....
I am so confuddled.
WOZB - Pumpkin pop-in
PMSL @ Sami - yes those helpers sure are... helpful ;)
sami if you find it can you please ask it where laa's flongies are?
oh and that million dollars..... i know its hiding from me SOMEWHERE!!!
Congrats on your "stinkiest bucket" award, Cheeky Monkey.
How many days camping did you do? Was it camping with toilet facilities or camping where you supply EVERYTHING yourself (or go without).
i've read of people going camping where they wash the nappies on the road - literally! they fill an esky with nappies, water and detergent. Snap down the locks, drive along and the motion of driving on rough roads, is the agitation for the washing!
i've even seen photos of how people ingenously hang up nappies inside the fourwheel drive, so they dry as you drive along (inside the glass).
Amazing.
i think i would be the kind of camper (if we ever went camping - fat chance), who would save up the used nappies in teh bucket, and drive to nearest town with a laundrette, every three days. Or just stay somewhere with access to a washing machine e.g caravan park laundrette (is there such a thing?).
wotbb: imse vimse cloth trainers at childcare (knickers with insurance).
Alioops - weren't your first two girls petite? i don't want you putting pressure on yourself, to watch the scales constantly for Leah, maybe she's just a small build and nothing more sinister than that? Sounds like you have more than enough milk for her, i'm so glad for you.
My "helper" likes to POST things. We are currently missing her rainbow slippers, no doubt she has "posted" them where SHE thinks that slippers should be posted!!! I can't wait until she can talk more than "no eat" and "booby". then i could ASK her "where are your slippers?" and actually get an answer!
LOL at the moment my worst walk-about is the occassional sock.....but Im sure all that will change when Josh is a little older :)
I had another nappy win today :) Had a Cute Tooshie with BBH cover on and Josh fell asleep...really started to worry about what mess would be waiting for me.....but after three hours the nappy was fully soaked but NO leaks!!! Woohoo Im stoked!!!
Only problem.....is it wrong to celebrate the success of a new nappy by buying more nappies??? Hehehe it felt good tho  Just so excited to finally have a list starting of "what works" rather than "what leaks"
I think Im gonna have to put myself on a buying ban until I atleast try the rest of the ones I have here!! Oops!! I got a win notice from B4B yesterday and I totally forgot I even put a bid on anything! Hmmm on second thought I might ban myself after I get an Itti or two....really been wanting to try them!!
WOJB: yellow BumG
They were both over 3kg, and Em's issues only got noticed because of continuous losses. She was born 2.96kg and this mornings weight was 2.58kg, which is a bit more than they like them to lose. She has hardly any fat on her so I am feeding her and then topping her up with a syringe and then expressing, every 3 hours. I end up with about an hour to an hour and a half between finishing all that and starting all over again. I am not going to give up easily though, I will go supply line before bottle if I have to.
Sami - Have you checked the bin? JIC someone thought they were being 'Helpful'.
WOLB: Old style Magicall. Should check it but Sarah is cuddling her and does not like handing her over
WOEB: Something else, she has been changed again thanks to her constant nappy removal.
Gigi - We were gone three nights 4 days and the only facility at the camp ground was a toilet and a small tap which people used to wash hands, dishes etc. I didn't think they'd like me washing stinky nappies under it. We didn't want our first camp with DS to be really isolated but next time will be ;)
All the nappies we took are still on the line sunning, but doesn't look to be ANY stains - hooray! So yes the bucket stank to the high heavens, but nothing that a good wash in the machine didn't fix.
Oh and we had NO room in the car for the "wash cycle" in the esky lol The nappy bucket only just fit!
Thanks for missing me Gigi, seems no-one else did :(
WOPB: "Digger" AbbyGro Patchie
AWWW CM- I would have posted just to hear ya come runnin, but I knew you were away:hug:
I read some where that some people just hold thier nappies on the inside of the toilet bowl and flush, it would polly work for mcsquirty poos. I tried it on our plasticine 'log' poos and it sorta worked. But we only get 1 a day at best and its kinda a peel off and a 2 second rinse type. So I dont bother.
Mebbe wouldnt wanna put my preciousnesess in a public dunny anyway......
Yay:happyforyou: Fluff for me
A hot pink, purple and orange itti sewn in seconds.
Ray bummer bout yours :( I got a bit worried when I read that, but mine were the right ones.
Hi Girls,
I am new to the land of fluff and already I am excited and getting kind've hooked. I've been lurking in here for the last few days but I need some advice. Lara is almost 8 months and a bit of a chubby bub, I was wondering if any of you could recommend good MCNs for her. I know it is all trial and error. So far I have ordered one Bum G pocket nappy (it arrived today can't wait to use it ), Itti Bitti D'lish trial pack and also Cushie Tushie trial pack. I'm thinking out of all these there should be something that works for both Lara and I. Out of the ones I have ordered for her are there any that are better than another?
Thanks
Aww Ali you get a special exclusion because you've got the beautiful little Leah to keep you busy at the moment. Let me know when you girls want to meet up, I'll try my darndest to be there.
Shell - I knew you'd miss me, well at least miss taunting me with the "PING! - NEW POST" hehehe.
Hmm not much to say today except that I'm snowed under with washing from the trip away, re-stocking the cupboards and fridge of edible stuff, generally getting the house back in order and stupid in-law dramas. Ugh.
WOPB: Nothing, he's back to pooping and weeing in the toilet today. *sigh* Actually a relief with all the washing I've already got piled up.
Oh and sorry Leigh, I didn't have DS in nappies at your LO's age so I really have no advice. I'm sure that one of the old timers in here can help you.
hahahaha old timers hahahaha
oh you girls love me don't you...
I WANT TO CRY
for several reasons but mostly because im an impulsive do do head.....grrrr
I've wanted a CGR for a while now but never have the money so i have stayed away from her website all together....as it was i was at the expo with a budget to get a sling, didn't have the sling i wanted there so i happen across the nuture nappy stand and see a gorgeous small CGR and think what the hekc ill get it...
now correct me if im wrong but aren't all SMALLS $30 on her site? well i paid $40 for a small wich i wouldn't of minded but IT DOESN'T SUIT HIS BODY TYPE wwaaaahhhhhhh so i will have to sell it on :(
so on top of that i come home and mum has found my new B4B cow print and put it on Tallon for his midday nap (wich he always poops during) and didn't do it up properly so not only did he do a poosplosion in my nice new nappy but it came out everywhere cuz it was done up 4snaps too loose grrrr
WOTB: other new B4B giraffe print :D
Fluffy mail as well!!!
I got 2 IB snap ins (yellow and green - yes I am being conservative!) and they are the ones I ordered. Ray I hope you've called to see if they can change it...
Hey Leigh! like i said in our other thread the BumG's are a good workhorse nappy for us but very bulky on my skinny mini...i love itti's
Hiya Leigh!!!!!! How lovely to hear that you and little Lara are doing so well - doesnt the time just fly past!
I only started Zander around 7 months in MCN's - hun I love Itti's too - the cushie tushies I have I have had to put away cos he has chubby thighs but not around the waist and I cant get them to snap so they dont leak after an hour. I have one BumG and it is fine so far I think. It is a little bit of trial and error.
Another favourite of mine is the Ecobubs - these ladies are probably sick of me banging on about them - but they are lovely with side snaps.
I havent gone into the world of stockings and custom made nappies yet and am trying not to whilst my credit card recovers from building up my stash the last couple of months so cant comment on those ;)
I just read Lesley's (Cherub's Kiss) newsletter. Does anyone else get it? It sounds like she has had a (or some) dodgy customers and is considering never doing customs again and has had to change her payment terms and has the right to refuse to sell to anyone. Sad :(
As members have expressed an interest in having a thread for swapping cloth nappies, we have set up a Cloth Nappy Swap Noticeboard for you here. Please note that the thread is for listing items for straight swaps only, there cannot be any monetary exchange. Items for free may still be posted here in the general discussion. Happy Swapping everyone!
yes at first I thought maybe Lesley was doing it because of all the B4B auctions, one of them is mine so I was starting to worry that maybe in HER eyes auctioning them was a bad thing. But I can't see how it can be that. That is what B4B is for. So I am thinking maybe someone has either brought straight from her store or got customs and stuck them on B4B which has upset her.
Sad really ... but nothing can really be done about it. Can't believe the prices of Auriels though. I am not going to complain, I need the $ right now since moving and the bills are piling up... and at the same time someone can have a VCH auriel that I don't use :)
Ashton has peed a lot today. Very out of character for him but good. I was starting to worry that he wasn't getting enough fluids but apparently he is when he can soak through every nappy within 3 hours! Usually I can take one off after 4 hours and it's only a little wet.
WOHB: Sandman... he's in bed, hopefully for the night!
OMG. DS just outwet a GF super nights - in 3 hours. So now he is in our bed.
LOL Mel, well it was cold last night.. it's amazing what they will do to sleep with us  (maybe he put a glass of water down it like in the Huggies add on tv).
:waves: hi all .. i have been MIA for ages now , i took a break when dh is on holidays and then i worked all 3 days at the baby expo which was full on ! did any one in brissy go ??
as for me and nappies i came home from the expo with 4 minkee magic all and 2 ittis !!
i have also listed a swap nappy in the swap thread , a WC thats too high rise for gabbi so for her it gapes.
Gabriella goes for her allergy skin ***** test today :( trying to get her to sit still for 30mins while she is used as a pin cushion is not going to be fun :( , but its one step closer to sorting out her health ..
just a bit OT there sorry ...
I havent read the CK email , poor chook , she works so hard for them , i used to own a sz 1 and it was holy !!! id love a size 2 but im scared of the prices so i dont even look
Lea hun they don't have to sit still after all the poking has been done for 30 mins...been through this a million times!!! and if the dr/specialist makes her sit still there is something wrong with them!!!! we have have 10+ done on DD at the childrens hospital.
nappy related....i should hopefully get some fluff today :)
yhanks kat , im just nevous ad she has moreBT in a week , and gabbi is not one to sit still !
Yer i was at the brissy expo...what stand where you on? obviously the BBH one im presuming? ooh can you tell me what colours are coming out end of august??????
yes the BBH one ! did you see me ?? the one with curly hair !! um i dont even know what coulors are coming out .. i want some though!!
I don't know i was there on the friday and just spoke with one young girl with a long dark poney tail slightly wavy??? and SHe told me there were two colours coming out but she wouldn't tell me what they were (im now guessing she didn't know)?? Oh i wish i'd thought ahead and come and said hello properly
that was Davina , creator of BBH !! she would know , but keeping it a secret ;)
really? she looked way to young to be the creator! go her.....grrr how frustrating
Morning ladies!
River is wearing one of the older lads large Itti Bitti's this morning. Can I just say how cute I think he looks with it on (and so slim fitting, Im so used to BBH and covers lol). I cant believe he is in a LARGE Itti done up on the 2nd smallest snap setting/wing crossover with little to no leg gape...........and he's only 7kg! Must all be concentrated on his chubby thighs
Will be curious to see if we get leakage or not.
Morning guys!!!
Heather - maybe he did.. hahaha... it was a large, and I'm thinking it was just too big for him (or daddy didn't do it up properly) cos when I took his longies off, massive wing droop was occurring, so he probably just pi$$ed out the side... lol
Maybe have to think about putting extra snaps on his - her medium fits her fine with no wing droop (although my normal day ones needs extra snaps on her mediums to fit properly.. grrr on wing droop!)
Not much else going on - got woken this morning by a toddler saying "happy birfday mummy" so that was nice :D
Hi Ladies!
Err I had something to reply to... I think?
Bugger.
Be back later.
Darn it!!! no fluffy mail here for me today :(
I do have $$ to spend on nappies though :) i sold on all of our medium IB's :) :(
soooo...... what to buy???
oh what to buy!! I can't wait till I pay the rest of my laybys off and get some lovely fluff. I miss it so so much! I have whizz kidz, cushie tushies (Mels store), a WC fitted and flattery fluff on layby. How exciting, just 2 more weeks :)
Today Ashtons had a LOT of nappy free time, but it's getting cold now so he's back in his BBH. Poor mite did a HUGE poop when he was sleeping, so sat in it for over an hour and I was oblivious as we were out, got home and changed him and he was SO red. Poor thing. A couple of changes in BBH and he will be all better though. Might be teething causing the ouchie poos?
WOHB: BBH and parrot pants shorties
Happy Birfday Mel.
Washed my ittis and they are on the clothes horse all lined up next to each other. Pwitty
Didnt get all I wanted done today, DP called at luchtime enroute to the hosp. Couple of stitches in his foot later and I have a man sook parked on the couch.
Will concede that it may have hurt somewhat to have the edge of a metal house frame embed itself in your foot.....
WOLB about to be a boosted swaddlebees for bed time
