I think I just gave some good advice to my belly buddies re MCNs and newborn cloth... would one of you ladies please check me to make sure I haven't made any fatal advice giving errors...

Link to TK's advice to her belly buddies - September 15 to 30, 2009

    Shanks much in advance

    ETA:

Thank you all for your advice re pre-washing the nappies. I think I am going to say it is something special I want to do and fingers crossed that gets me out of it... my biggest concern is the nappies are at MILs place at the moment cause we couldn't store them here... but I trust that she won't do anything to them. I think

Mmm I have been wondering too if Maz smelt her own... did anyone's nose pick anything up?????

TK - looks good but I've never used muslin flats? I've used muslin wraps - to swaddle Oh and the thing about flats/prefolds & covers - two layers of protection against poop - less chance of explosions as opposed to an AIO or pocket - no other protection there except the clothes!

    Thanks Mel.

LOL I probably have the name wrong... I have some sort of nappy at home that isn't terry, isn't flanno... It's name is on it but I am at work (and oh so norty being on here)...

Will check it out when I get home.

Man it is good to have been able to hang the nappies myself (well DH did a fair few too, but I did some at least!!) So my washing line is chockers and there is another load of washing in the machine!! Yikes, how do we fill the line with 1 day of clothing and nappies? I cant let the washing lapse ever again!!

Alright, what is the best fold for a NB with Terry flats? Or should I just avoid terry flats altogether?

tk- i found 2-layered muslin flats are only good for a light wetter or real short time but r real quick to dry & not bulky.
