Maz - it was at the local strand night markets. I saw her last month as well - only held once a month. She had a patchie for sale apparently and it was sold first of course lol It was an icecream sundae one! Lots of other nice slushies and fleecies there too.

My boy is still sleeping. Well make that both boys. Oh the life hey lol

Going to complete the quilt i've been making for my niece today. Just have to sew up the opening and all done! Then on to some bamboo prefolds I think. Oh well that's after I do my niece's flowergirl dress for the wedding.

charmlea, bilby wore some very baby fitteds and they suited her too, and she was never long. the aspect that suited her, was the narrow crotch. she started out tiny chicken legs, turned into Michelin baby with three rolls on each thigh (from 4 - 11months), then crawling started and she lost the rolls. always at the bottom of the height charts and sidesnappers with narrow crotches have always suited (regardless of the skinny or chubby thighs). and she has had the buddha belly for ages. This is why i am so impressed with the sidesnappers - the flexability of the fit, even when your bub changes so much in a year like she did.

cheeky monkey - we went back to night nappies when she was sick, as soon as she got better, we went back to trainers. She seems to wet about 2 nights in 7. i didn't do anything to specifically NIGHT train her. She can physcially get herself out of bed easily and walk to my room (for booby juice in the night) but she doens't take herself to teh toilet (day or night). and even in the day with a parent there, she has to be "reminded" alot, to take her clothing down (even when she's BUSTING to go!!). So she's not at the stage of independent toiletting yet.

I am trying to boycott doing the clothing for her (it's so tempting to do it myself, she is so slow), so she develops that skill more and learns some confidence in managing the clothing. It's probably a good thing she doesn't go alone, due to her being short, the step being a big step, and the whole balance thing, i would be nervous about her going to the loo, alone, right now. She really does need to be taller, to do it safely alone, in the day, let alone the night.

even if the worst happens, the brolly sheet saves the bedlinen, so i'm not stressed about nights.

so one step at a time. She is one of only two at her childcare that's TT-d, and heaps of them still use a dummy, so i try to remind myself of that all kids are different, every time i get down about her lack of speech, not wanting to eat etc. they all develop at their own pace.

i've forgotten how to find the Gallery on this site.

Yeh Maz, what is up with the classifieds on this site? seems to be dead as a dodo.

wotbb: Monkey Bar Knickers by Rio - the smallest shop bought knickers i could find. good ol' bestnless.

Gigi - What size are Bilby's best and less undies? I can't find anything smaller than 3-4 and they stay up but are still big KWIM? lol Bilby is doing fantastic with her TTing so like you said, even if she is a little behind with other things she is still way ahead with that. Plus you've said she is good at miming her wants and needs so it's all communication no matter how she does it!

Maz - I haven't even STARTED the flowergirl dress yet. It won't take long though I just want something really simple. I was thinking of making a really easy reversible pinny. Beautiful white silk one side and something pretty on the other so she can wear it more than once KWIM? And a purple sash around her waist. Maybe an applique of some kind down the bottom corner. Not too sure yet. Better get a move on though.

The wedding is in 6 weeks exactly!
Nervous yet? lol YEP there's still so much to do.

Shell - technically you aren't working when you're posting on BB!

cheeky monkey - just before we STARTED toilet training, i went out and bought one of HEAPS of brands, of size 2/3 knickers. In boys AND the girls underwear sections, of big w, kmart, bestnless, target, coles, woollies, everywhere i could think of. Franchised and plain. that was more like February, and we're in July now. None fitted her in Feb, the only ones that fit bilby now (July) are the monkeybar knickers by rio, and a pair of halfpints i had made at noonee wilga (custom made) - actually they fitted in Feb, as they were custom made to her exact measurements.

we've been using day trainers, like imse vimse (the 11-14kg size) for ages PAST when bilby actually needed them, purely due to the fact that at least they fit her (would have used starbunz trainers too, trim fit but the synthetic inner didn't suit bilby). so finding knickers that fit has been a trial for us too. I won't have to buy knickers for her, for AGES, we have so many for her to "grow into".

the smaller sizes of knickers, are not always available, esp in the monkey bar knickers. i got to the stage, i felt like a toddler knickers stalker! i was in those sections so often, CHECKING for the right sizes to be there.

    wotbb: aforementioned monkeybar knickers

some good bargains on the ozbabytrends site atm for anyone after workhorse mcn. My friend has tried out the OSFA fuzzibunz on her narrow crotch bub, and found the fit pretty good. She has the red one with the daisies on it, very funky.

You can never have too many pairs of knickers/undies Gigi!

DS picks out his each day and sometimes wears a few because he tries to pull his undies up before he's done the "shake shake" lol

    He he CM
I know, and I should have stayed downstairs working. Lil Man was awoken by some clients picking up thier saddle and instead of putting him back in his swing,( he has his day sleeps in a motorised swing thingy in my "workshop") we came upstairs and tooled around with computers and stuff. Big mistake. A tired Lil Man is an angry Lil Man

Wow, the whole VHC auriel thing has gotten way out of control hasnt it?
I would luve to see one IRL just to see what the fuss is.

Am I the only person never tempted by an auriel? A nappy is a nappy if you ask me. I understand Maz loving them for the way they are helping Mateauz though.

Shell - Obviously you have something to do with horses lol Oh how I miss my pony riding days as a youngster

So bored. So, so bored. So very bored.

My mother is taking full advantage of her surgery and having to "rest up". Oh I sound like such a b*tch saying that about her, but my god she isn't as bad as she makes out to be. Milking it for all it's worth lol

If any of you ladies want some AG's let me know and I can get them at the markets for you
