No nappy news... DS was going better with the ECing while we were on holidays, but now it's so cold, it's such a hassle to get all the clothes off him in time. Still only a couple of times he's pooped in a nappy tho, so it's ok.
Still didn't receive the over-stretched BumGs back, so I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...
I haven't even looked at Auriels. Not gunna!

WOAB: GF super NN, "cheeky monkey" pajamas, and soon to be a straightjacket if he doesn't stop climbing out of bed!

CM, Yer, I am a saddler
You got cabin fever? A week ago you were soo excited she was arriving
I was going to ask you if you would play hyena for me at your markets, I have heard good things about the AG's. Adam even mentioned how we dont have as many nappies as normal since the boy started getting bigger.
I dont have time to be frantically refreshing on stocking nights.
But I am curious to see what they would be like on my very generic child. (pretty much everything fits him)

I don't know if it's cabin fever. I am very happy that she's here - I missed her heaps as we're really close. It's more that I'm sick of her being so dependant on me. She's worse than looking after another child. She's putting it on more than anything. She can do things perfectly fine one minute, then the next when she doesn't feel like doing something "oh it hurts" lol It's growing old!

I would be happy to get some nappies for you chicky. The next markets aren't on until 7th of August but I'm pretty sure I should be able to go to them. It's 2 weeks before my wedding so I will want time out IYKWIM lol Send me a PM if you like.

ahhh what a day! DD refuses to sleep through the day unless she's just fed and is in my arms. heaven forbid i should try to move to be more comfy or put her down to go to the loo! love her to bits, but i need some time out! DH shouldbe home tomorrow for a couple of days, but we have so much to do before the baptism that i'll be in the same position cos i can't afford for him (and his muscles) to be out of commission holding her! sigh...

nappy wise - went through her stash and grabbed out the smaller small nappies (as opposed to nb covers and things) - time to start experimenting more. they're pretty and i wanna get more use out of them!

WOEB - Panda baby stars nappy. PB got mixed reviews (just after i ordered them d'oh) so we'll see how they go!

Hope your mum is feeling better soon, all you need now is for DF to get himself a dose of man flu - now that IS hard work
    Prolly should go to bed....

E isn't a fan of any of the carriers. Too much of a sticky beak i think. Will be great in hab when she can face out!

The cover for her baptism isn't on fb yet. Will definitely upload pics when we put it on! Will post album link in here for anyone i'm not friends with on fb. From the work in progress i seen it's divine!

WOEB nappy from aunty maz at baby shower (finally fits!) and maz cover.

Nana - thanks for the Gallery link! i've bookmarked it too - mwah! Would you like some cheeky monkey huggalugs for your monster? to keep him warm whilst ec-ing?

Brigsy - have you got any carrier/slings for Emerald? wow, i'd love to give her a cuddle, give you time to run around do what you gotta do with two free hands. Five week old little Emerald, awwww!

Kazbah - hmm, wot to do about DH with Fear of Fluff!
wot strategies have you tried so far?

Have you tried educating him wot to do?
SOmetimes, if people know they CAN get out of something, they don't pay much attention, UNTIL they realise, wow, i HAVE to know it now, THEN they're ready to listen.

WOuld a day of "cold turkey" help? when all he has to use IS mcn, and it's either sink or swim? or are you worried, he will cheat and run out and buy sposies?

Do you have alot of different types of mcn? different closures? (more for him to learn) or do you at least have say, 7 of similar type. Cos if he could use the same type, all day, maybe he would "geddit" quicker. Getting to practise the same thing.

Does he know what to do with them after change time? Is that what is freaking him out? having to deal with poo? do you have a little squirt? that entertained my dh no end LOL - boy - watertoy - YEH!

Does he understand how to prevent leaks? the leg seal etc? My dh was very freaked out at the beginning at the thought of being pooped on, so he was VERY keen to learn about fit and leg seal (ANYTHING to prevent being pooped on!).

Is he nervous about changing bubs in public changerooms?

These are all things EVERY newcomer to mcn gets a bit tense about - until you get to do it, and realise it's not THAT hard. but the first time is usually the worst - the anticipation of the "what if's". You've been thru all those firsts, so know what it's like. will he listen? or is the lack of listening the problem?

my dh is a know it all, but when it came to potentially being pooped on, he suddenly was "all ears" about how to prevent that.

is Pip in mcn all the time, or sometimes in trainers? I guess that's another aspect - toilet training AND mcning, or just one at a time?

    good luck with it all!

CheekyMonkey - how much longer do you have your "houseguest" for. Sounds like the departure cannot come soon enough!

WOTBB: blueberries and longies (gee i'm consistently boring these days)

wish i had something really interesting to shock you all with, e.g "i have a reason to look at nb fluff again!!". but no. I just PLAN my ideal nb stash in my head constantly. torture myself. how i would do it, knowing what i know now, instead of all the blunders i made as a green, over eager newbie.

Gigi - i have a HAB and a sling that maz sent me - unforunately, i'm tall, big and busty - and the sling just doesn't sit right for either of us - i need to find a decent soft sling for a big wench cos E hated that one and i didn't feel at all comfy doing anything. she hates the HAB for some reason - i'm not sure if it's cos she is a very hot bubba like her daddy and just feels too hot in it or whether it's cos she wants the freedom to look around. she doesn't spend a lot of time snuggled into anyone - more sitting on knees looking around - bloody sticky beak! i keep trying every few days when she's in a better mood - i figure if i can convince her it's ok when she's happy, it will help her to realise it's ok when she's not. so far it's not working though! stubborn little bag!

nappy wise, she's definitely growing into her mcn's so the flanny flats have been washed and will be put aside as a spare stash for the days i can't get things dry or haven't had time to wash them all. think i might do a bit of a nappysan soak with them to make them all nice and clean - and DH is home (well, will be soon) so he can walk them down to the line and hang them out

best get myself and E organised - have to head next door to the church to introduce my poppet to the parish before her baptism. not looking forward to it to be honest - have no idea how warm they keep the church (it's over 100 years old) and E is still in feeding frenzy mode so i'm bound to have to get my boob out at some point. sigh!

WOEB - BBH magic-all - yay she's finally (just) big enough!

    Hello! to you too

Gigi - my house guest is here until my wedding. Another 6 weeks. As soon as her doctor tells her it's ok to fly she is going to visit my sister for a week but we have no idea when she will get the all clear. I know I'm whinging now, but I will miss her when she is gone. She's just usually such a clean freak and helps me out a lot, often to the point of making me feel bad about my house work lol This time is the complete opposite.

BG - I don't go to church but when we went for our meeting with the father before DS's baptism he needed to be fed. There were about 10 couples and their babies/children, the father, and his two "helpers". I was a bit unsure and uncomfortable about breastfeeding in the church but the father gave me an approving smile which made me feel so much better.

Another dry nappy last night, I'm beginning to think I should cancel the tester night nappy. I would feel bad if DS wasn't wetting any more when it arrived.

No other news - how sad.

woo hoo - we survived church with no tears, no tanties - and a nice discreet feed! yay. our normal priest is on hols though, so we had a fill in - when he walked up to our pew and seen me breastfeeding (very discreetly - i had a blanket almost completely over bub and me!) he got rather embarassed - but it kept her happy and quiet! daddy is home now and she's in talk and giggle mode - but starting to get grizzly - i think i need wrap that keeps her permanently attached to the breast!

WOEB - a WW of some sort - not sure - Granma changed her

hey lovely ladies! Haven't had a chance to jump on for a few days and OMG you can talk!! Ashton finally cracked one of his teeth so he's been a lot happier, now just waiting for the other one and it's right there...

We have so much fluffy arriving over the next week, I can't wait! GF, mels store, flattery, some cloth pads, 3 bulk lots of second hand nappies off NA and NC, 13 pairs of babylegs, whizz kidz, longies... probably more that I've forgotten about. Can't wait, it's been a while!

Who likes babylegs?? Well I got 13 pairs, for $8.20 each brand new...
Inspired By Finn have them on sale for $7 usd normal BL and $12 organic. Then I used the code 'babylegs' which took some more off (I think about $2 something a pair) and even with post it only cost me $8.20 AUD a pair, that's including the postage! They have HEAPS of styles and hundreds of each so grab a bargain I got 6 normal and 7 organic for a little over $100 posted. It is a US store but even with exhange etc you can't get them that cheap here

WOHB: WC and HL, and he's snoozing!
