oh bugger I knew I forgot something shopping yesterday.....canisten rinse!
I am so jealous of both of you..twins and triplets man I wish i lived closer to give you both a hand.
Bimboo - we have the same trouble with wipes....my kids are super sensitive and when I use shop bought so to speak they break out. Ive been using chamomile wipe solution form bubbly bliss and its working great
I just took my nappies of the line.....nice and crunchy lol. and found a nest of dame earwigs right in the middle of my vegy patch near my tomoatoes bastards!!!
Bimboo - I have 2 friends who were pregnant with twins at the same time I was with DS & both were told cs at 32 weeks was pretty likely. When they first said it (28 weeks with the fraternals) it was just coz they weren't both head down yet. They were going to send them off to Sydney for the cs since the babies would be so young.
Anyway, one went into labour herself at 32 weeks anyway. by the time she realised what was happening it was too late to stop it. Sent her off to Sydney & she birthed them vaginally.
The other's babies both decided to go head down at 34 weeks & she had them vaginally at 37+4.
Anyway...back to nappies... can I ask if there's anyone who sells all fleece nappies? DS can't have PUL on him at all anymore. He's too sensitive. They leave his whole nappy area bright red after an hour or 2.
Couldn't resist GD last night, scored a beetlebum xmas nappy (the red one). It's so pretty! Now Laa has a gorgeous MAL xmas cover and a BB..... bliss
bj - genessa forge and cuddlesncloth do all flecce, no PUL nappies. I think The Cloth Nappy shop might too?
bimboo - we use the mandy mac the "wrong" way around, I put the hemp against laa's skin, not that purple synthetic stuff.
wipes solution - I love dixie drops from sugar shots and have just tried the ones from twinkle lily, but the sugar shots ones are muh more economical (have just now needed to buy a second bag, first bag lasted for over 6 months). I drop one into a thermos and its enough for 1-2 days.
WOHB - ppokey pocket fitted/maz fairy xmas cover (starting to feel the spirit!!)
its good to see both bimboo and rhyb cooking away still !! esp in this heat ! bleurgh
temtpting trish , might just email ya to see what you got ! the girler the better
no idea what nappy is on my caterpillas butt ... im hoping shes playing out side on the slip and slide , coz im boiling at work wishing i was palying on the slip and slide !!
Aww man how did I miss the GD stocking last night!!!??? So many awesome christmas nappies!! I still really want one or a coverAnd Kristy from BOB has listed a couple of awesome ones too. I'm just to behind the 8 ball.
We love christmas we are going all out with the light display this year!! The house will be all gilttery with lights but poor Em will have a christmasless bum!!
How does one find out about these stockings before they happen? I keep finding out just after! (I should check here more often for a start, probably!)
My sis is in the UK atm and has offered to get me nappies for Christmas! She knows me well So, any suggestions for good UK/European nappy brands I should ask for? DD seems to have a skinny waist compared to the size of her things and rise, and is a pretty heavy wetter. Natural fabrics next to skin are also better for her. TIA!
oooh custome WW! awesome! they are gorgeous show off nappies - great fit on DD (she wears both her smalls and meds atm cos i don't want to retire the smalls while they still fit lol)
BG I'm so excited. It was pure chance that i was checking emails when she'd just sent through notice that some custom spots were going up. TBH we're stetched for $ right now, but I really need more to make my stash complete and go full time, and I thought, its all meant to be so I MUST buy them! That's my logic & I'm sticking to it anyhoo.
Good to hear they're a nice fit for E. The crotch width is always our problem for DS with MCNs and I know they're quite narrow so I'm really happy.
NOw I just need to decide what I want. OOOOHHH this is going to be hard. I've got some pretty specific things that I'd love embroidered, but I'll have to talk to her about what flexibility she has with designs.
Ladies - I need your help... I got lazy and used the disposables full time rather than alternating with the cloth as I had been and now when I put cloth on DD she screams blue murder... I thought DP was joking that it was the cloth as it had been hot and then other days I was sick - there was always something... until there were days that really there hasn't been anything except the cloth and she is so in distress and usually stops when I take the nappy off.
I have tried different liners, different nappies (itti bitti d'lish, green kids, various material prefolds with covers etc etc) sometimes she will have the nappy on for only 30secs or so and then the screaming and then other times it will be on for about 5-10mins and then she cries/screams... usually at this time though she is wet/dirty
So far as I said I have tried different nappies and liners but if that doesn't work I just pop her back into a sposie and she is fine and placid. I have been good at not getting too stressed about it cause I think DD would pick up on my stress but sometimes I have just cried... cried because she is so upset, at the $$ I have spent on nappies, covers etc etc that she won't even wear... at the amount of washing because on some days she will have the nappy on for 5mins max and it is wet/dirty and requiring a change and in 1 hour I went through 20... yes 20 nappy combos...
Is there something I am missing????? I am tearing my hair out
way to go lollybaby..I got the same email and managed to grab a couple of those slots so have 6 nappies to custom design...BG was raving about how good their litlle ones are for babies so I thought I should grab them while I could as it is sooo hard to get the newborn sized ones at these stocking for any of the WAHMs....they just dont do enough of them...lol.....
Kitten - how do I tell??? Sorry I am fairly inexperienced in identifying the materials in the nappies - the liners I have used are microfleece, bamboo things (yep technical term!), um not sure what the others are I am currently @ my sisters in Cowra and the nappies are in Sydney
tk - which brands are they? I found laa could only do full velour linings at that early age, slowly she has grown out of it but i still prefer the natural inners!
MELBEL ! OMGosh I am picturing a half dozen NB widdlewuns how UBER squishy nice would that be!!!!
