J - that doesnt seem like too much. I dont have any prefolds yet, just about 30 nb fitteds. + too many covers and a stack of nb aio's now, what is the difference between prefolds and terry flats? (apart from the funky designs) I probably should buy a few of them too hehe..
Oh and I bought some cloth wipes, what kind of foaming solution is best?

I would certainly say Maz covers for a NB, I have already ordered our first one!

prefolds - I have Booroi and swaddlebees. I still use them inside the Booroi covers too, without a snappi. Hopefully I will be able to get some Maz ones too though

funkeefrog - lol where to start? My faves are all of the aussie wahm nappies - I tried so many but I must say teh wahm ones are my faves.

    Anyone here tried nicnaps?

poopie - terry flats are just a big piece of terry cotton, like a towel. Prefolds are generally made out of at least a ful body layer of bamboo and/or terry/and or velour/and or hemp. So much more absorbent and a much trimmer fit too. I love the dixie drops solution from sugar shots, but the stuff from twinle lily is also lovely.

Thanks for the advice for re-fluffing the bamboo - might head down to the local laundry-mat some time later this week with a few damp inserts while DS's at CC to help fluff them a bit.

Am also now waiting on a fluffy mail ... (spent far too much $500 on the c/c though haven't told DH yet) just bought a bulk pack of the large SIO itti bittis and a few extras so I have the whole set of colours (even the pink ones ) DS will be moving up to them soon enough ... (and I'm thinking for possible siblings for DS later on)

Someone mentioned swim nappies - I'm after some advice there too. DS is currently around the 9kg mark and I'm going to need to get a swim nappy soon for him - just need to get organised and book him in for lessons

Slightly dumb sounding question (I know no question is dumb but...)

Can I put my bamboo boosters/inserts/snap ins on high in the dryer?

I'm a little worried only with the snaps on my IB inserts. I've up until now (when going down to the laundry mat) only dried on medium just to be safe but being able to dry on high would cut down the time & $$ I spend down there.

ooooooo nice J. I got some of the care bear wipes for my older sister who's due in August.

Well we're back in fluff and so glad poo level has decreased here. DP has a cold and now DD is getting snuffly........ Will it ever end? At least i'm not chucking anymore.

    Eagerly awaiting fluffy mail.

    Hey guys,

We are just starting out and I'm waiting for our first (of about 4 parcels ) fluffy mail. I've been thinking about going cloth for ages now and went searching for a cloth swim nappy and ended up buying a heap or other bargains!

I got a baby beehings trial pack, some itti bittis sio and aio, cushie tushies and hautes pockets so I figure that will give us a start into figuring out what we like and what suits DD. Are there any other brands that you "experts" recommend trying?
