kitt I agree. I have been meanign to email them anyway for addressing my mail to the local post office :shakehead: Like how the hell was I supposed to know to go in there an dcollect it when I had given them my home address as the delivery address (idiots) I will be emailing them for sure.

An e-mail would be a good idea, maybe find a good source of infomation about microfibre and send it to them. And if they have not been used then they should be able to refund you.
Im not really the one to advise of material as I have only just started doing nappies (and probably wont continue because its soooo time consuming) and I still havnt been able to try my nappies either. But I suppose some sort of polar fleece or flannel would do the trick to cover the microfibre? As that is what has been used on the nappies I have bought. A sewing machine is a MUST have in our house as dh is always ripping his clothes at work and I also sew on his name to clothes and put buttons on everything. Last year I made 3 quilts though, so it was a great investment :)
Well, I have my petites coming in the mail and the night nap from BBH AND today I ordered some IB's on clearance!!!! Yeah!!!! I wish the sales would stop though as i'm spending so much money it's not like I NEED more nappies :lol: hahaha
I'm really loving BBH's and IB's at the moment..... I can't buy velcro nappies anymore DD just rips them off so snaps only for us!!!

Been good, no buying, well not much anyway, had a relapse 3 weeks ago when I rediscovered the itti love, but only got 6 or so, and the y were all second hand or swaps.
May be getting a new love though, those bonds roomies are doing things for me.
Also ordered some custom over cloth pants...
So all in all, I the budget is looking pretty good.

So I put a nappy on Charlie and 30 mins later she's wet through it. I did put it on right and it has been pre washed a tonne. Do I need to stripwash it?
OT but those that have sewn with minky, does it need hemming/overlocking? I have a bunch of dud nappies here because leg elastic went a while back and i thought they'd make cute wipes/facewashers for DD.

Was it absolutely saturated? I've found if its absolutely soaked all the way through everything then it needs more stuffing - if it sorta runs off and doesn't get absorbed and leaks that way - then its strip wash time.:

It seemed to be but it just went RIGHT THROUGH. It's an AIO and I know DD drinks A LOT of water but that's just ridiculous. This brand has been fantastic until just now then all of a sudden she's soaking them. was one the other day lasted an hour and she wee'd mid nappy change so it's not as if she had a full bladder.:

What brand CL? and how old is it?
It's a bonnibuns and about 3 months old. I checked the insert and it seems intact. Never had issues with DD wetting through them before. Maybe she was just holding a big wee in?

Those inserts alone will soak up more than anything else I have seen for thier bulk. There is also heaps of room to stuff more and they are a velcro pocket.
They are a bit wider in the crotch than many, thats the only downside, oh and they are OSFM, but they didnt really fit my lil man until 6 months ish, thay are on the bigger side.
Could lend you one if you like?
its ok MLM im looking for something that doesnt have PUL in it so a fitted really not sure if there are such things as fitted pockets and DS has like 20 layers of bamboo at night
I've been using bonnibuns night nappy. it has microfleece outer and it has a pocket plus a snap in booster. it's an AIO night nappy and decent priced. DD can't outwet them.
J - they are insanely hard to get but the beetlebums wooly night pockets are awesome. We have 4 and I have only managed to get hold of them by swapping my inside out's for them! Other than that, I think Genessa Forge might have something for you :)

So humid that my nappies aren't drying so I have them on the clothes horse in the bathroom with the heater on. DD is in sposies because i am still lowish on stash and well we have to use them anyway as she's gonna grow out of them very soon.

Ammaki, The cloth nappy shop at kingston has a fair few IRL brands. They are open daily fro 10 till 4 I think.
Happy Babes is based at paradise point. They are not an IRL shop, but do markets at coomera sometimes.
I have some different brands if you frequent the nerang area.
And if you can wait, until the baby expo in bris, then the big companies have good sales on.

Sorry, my poor little brain is just too pregnant to really think at the moment, and that combined with handover at work before I go on Mat Leave next week I just have no brain space left!!
One of DS's childcare carers is moving interstate (to SA) and has just found out she is pregnant. She has loved using DS's nappies and wants to get some for herself. We use IBs at CC and she said that she really likes the snaps - doesn't want velcro.
So being that IBs don't suit everyone I wanted to give her the names of some other snap nappies that are easy to use. IBs are the AIO sewn-ins, so I guess AIO recommendations are preferable, but perhaps some pockets might be ok too!

MT - I think most of my nappies are snaps now, no velcro - cos you can't get velcro side snapping nappies.. LOL... so I have GF's, WW's, Nicnaps (which I'm about to get rid of) um, got a lot of DM's as well... got an envoy as well (bout to get rid of that too cos it was aricyn's) ummm thats all I can think of at the moment!

IB's also do SIO (snap ins) and we love them :D and the fact that they can be used fairly quickly after washing if you have extra snap in sets. (so get her to consider snap ins too):

Got my eye on breast pads for my older sister who's due in Aug. I want to make a mum orientated hamper thingo so any ideas would be appreciated people.

Hi ladies - can anyone help me out with a bottom cream question? I was given the Gaia baby cream as a baby shower gift and it says on there it can be used instead of nappy cream. Am I able to use this when using cloth nappies? I guess I am asking which ingredients I need to be staying away from when looking for a nappy cream.

The only cream I use is the red paw paw ointment. Not too sure what to stay away from really but I've seen people use moogoo. I think it's really the heavy zinc and castor creams to steer clear of. Someone should pop in and give you more info

Im so naughty.. I bought loads of wipes, a night nappy and 3 covers from maz's stocking last night.. I'll have to make sure I hide this months credit card statement from dh after my purchases from woddlebots and darlings down under last week :redface: i REALLY dont need anymore nappies. and now i am winning the mcdonalds auction of maz's.. oh dear, I just cant get enough. this is a really bad addiction now. :redface:

Katones - I know Cindy was working on some velcro side fastening ones, but I never tried them myself, and I've never seen them anywhere else? What ones do you have?
Poopie - Gaia is ok - depending on which cream it is. Put the ingredients on here cos I can't remember which one it is. I know when I had my store the one that I sold was ok for nappies, but there is a similar one they sell that isn't ok for cloth.
