One of DS's childcare carers is moving interstate (to SA) and has just found out she is pregnant. She has loved using DS's nappies and wants to get some for herself. We use IBs at CC and she said that she really likes the snaps - doesn't want velcro.

So being that IBs don't suit everyone I wanted to give her the names of some other snap nappies that are easy to use. IBs are the AIO sewn-ins, so I guess AIO recommendations are preferable, but perhaps some pockets might be ok too!

IB's also do SIO (snap ins) and we love them and the fact that they can be used fairly quickly after washing if you have extra snap in sets. (so get her to consider snap ins too)

Haha, Kitt3n I would have replied but the notification that a new message was on the thread got buried in my email. I'm not after covers so no competition here. Got my eye on breast pads for my older sister who's due in Aug. I want to make a mum orientated hamper thingo so any ideas would be appreciated people.

Oh and the reason i had leaks the other week was a couple of not prewashed enough inserts made thier way into the nappy pile.

Hi ladies - can anyone help me out with a bottom cream question? I was given the Gaia baby cream as a baby shower gift and it says on there it can be used instead of nappy cream. Am I able to use this when using cloth nappies? I guess I am asking which ingredients I need to be staying away from when looking for a nappy cream.

The only cream I use is the red paw paw ointment. Not too sure what to stay away from really but I've seen people use moogoo. I think it's really the heavy zinc and castor creams to steer clear of. Someone should pop in and give you more info

MT - I think most of my nappies are snaps now, no velcro - cos you can't get velcro side snapping nappies.. LOL... so I have GF's, WW's, Nicnaps (which I'm about to get rid of) um, got a lot of DM's as well... got an envoy as well (bout to get rid of that too cos it was aricyn's) ummm thats all I can think of at the moment!

well i have aplix side closure nappies...no idea how to word it..... but they definatly are not side snapping they are side velcro

Im so naughty.. I bought loads of wipes, a night nappy and 3 covers from maz's stocking last night.. I'll have to make sure I hide this months credit card statement from dh after my purchases from woddlebots and darlings down under last week i REALLY dont need anymore nappies. and now i am winning the mcdonalds auction of maz's.. oh dear, I just cant get enough. this is a really bad addiction now.
Although I did feel pretty bad last week so I *let* dh buy a motorbike for himself. So he's still the big spender.
Kitten - I checked them out, but couldnt find any gender neutral ones, so will have to wait to buy them. that site has some good sales too, I was somehow already a member and didnt even realize it!

So is the gaia baby cream bad for cloth? I got a stack of this stuff from my aunt.

Im waiting for the postie to deliver my rather large parcel from woddlebots i can hear him coming!

Katones - I know Cindy was working on some velcro side fastening ones, but I never tried them myself, and I've never seen them anywhere else? What ones do you have?

Poopie - Gaia is ok - depending on which cream it is. Put the ingredients on here cos I can't remember which one it is. I know when I had my store the one that I sold was ok for nappies, but there is a similar one they sell that isn't ok for cloth.

Crazy - stay clear of the red paw paw ointment hun, its petroleum based and isnt good for your mcn, go for the one in the black tube.

Poopie I am pretty sure you would be OK with the GAIA just check the ingredients as Mel said

i got madagascar wipes and care bear wipes and i bought 2 NB covers and bps off arimeh lol i cant stop buying nappy stuffat least im buying it for the new baby so thats 7 pairs of bps so far i'll probably need a couple more and then i'll be set hopefully i can BF this time otherwise i'll just wear them coz they feel nice on my bbs

Ive been lurking but not posting. One of my three is toilet trained now sooooooo one less in cloth And Rip is semi-tting so he is in pull ups most days. Only Stelly left to show off my beautiful fluff when he isnt in sposies at daycare.
