It just occured to me I have a problem and I need to join this thread.

I not long back changed bubs nappy from an itti bitti giraffe, to a monkey doodle giraffe, gave her a b/feed, looked at my breast pads (maz's of course) and they're, ummm, giraffes.

I just want to say thank you to everyone from this thread (and previous nappy chat threads) for your advice on buying nappies. I am totally addicted and can't wait to get back to my sewing machine (when time permits) and make bub a few more. I made her lots of newborn size, which fit really well considering she was so tiny and terry sqaures were too bulky. I've only been able to make her a couple since, but have a few cut out.

Well, giraffe minky IS nice! I have a giraffe Green Kids and I love it

So, what's everyone putting on newborns these days? Nappies have changed so much in the past two years! I was thinking of using flannel flats as they're nice and small (compared to terry flats), cheap and dry fast so I figure I could buy a bunch easily. I just remember having barely enough nappies last time- have to change SO often. I spent the babymoon BFing, eating and washing nappies... I don't think I have as much time to devote to frequent washing this time around with a toddler!

i'm using mio prefolds on my newborn and loving them - I have a few newborn aios but the prefolds are easier by far. my wee girl is 10 weeks old on Monday but only an 8pounder. I am sold on my prefolds but must admit can't wait till she is bigger to fit into some pretty aios I have bought her!

meow - here is what my stash will be

    10 Kissaluv Size 0's
    5 Swaddlebees NB
    6 Maz prefolds
    6 Booroi prefolds
    6 Widdlewun size smalls
and I have 2, but hopefully I can collect 6 Beetlebums nb/smalls before baby comes!

I am not sure as to how many covers I will need actually..... probably 6 Booroi ones and 2/3 Maz ones....hmmnnn???

    Hmm... thanks!

I think I may be too cheap for prefolds- though I have been eyeing off those unbleached prefolds. I guess some prefolds are pretty cheap and they wouold be easier than flats. The kissaluvs look super cute but way more than I'll spend

I used my OSFM pockets from birth last time and I'm pretty sure I'll have another big baby but we'll still be using the OSFM on my son because I'll doubt he'll be using the toilet by then.

    hi ya chickie dee's

I have to come back in here and feel 'normal' I did a baby expo last week and PMSL at the amount of people who saw that I had cloth for sale and did a wide birth...and the oldies...OMG I got sick of having to explain no we dont do terry flats much anymore...its all these and then the questions from them doubting that theyd work . I had people coming up saying they could go to spotlight and make there own.. yeah right go for it lovie

Im going to swap my beetlebums AIO for an auriel. The rise has gotten to short for tank and we are having pooh fountains

*maz slouthes in pile of minkee* ahhhhhhh I feel so at home again
