prefolds are like flats but already folded and sewn with extra absorbancy in the middle sectioni think thats the best way to explain and u can get them bamboo or cotton hope that helps

Ooooh! Cool thanks. Thought that's what it was but wasn't sure.

Still waiting for my fluffy mail! Why does it take so long!! Got some twinkle lily pads in the mix too bit I think they're not gonna make it in time.

    ahem
WOJB: a bit of an invention so I can save my "real" stash for outtings. Terry flat folded traditional style, CT bamboo trifold (I think that's what all the cool kids are calling it?) folded inside with a CT mircofleece booster on top against his butt, for dryness of course. Oh, and it's yellow XD I love his big butt

I saw a heap of them mega cheap and was wondering how they were for absorbancy. I'm in a dry climate so maybe for a NB stash but because it's so dry it gets very thirsty here hence needing a wee proof MCN

It was a while back on Ebay. Someone was given a heap for a baby present and she preferred disposables and was selling them. I think it was about 7 for $100 or something. I thought that was a decent price for MCNs.

Oh I think I saw those but I already had mine on layby; great price considering rumps are $38-$40 usually! (got mine a bit cheaper on sale)

Went to see my friend in hossie today who had a prem. Her bubs is 1.99kg and I didn't want to hold him because I was scared I'd break him. He made my 2.1kg at birth DD look gigantic! Anyway I am borrowing my friend's BBH demo pack to show her as well as taking in a microfleece lined Abby Gro, a PUL lined one, a Maz cover and a Mini LaLa that my friend is throwing in her kit too. My friend is so interested in MCNs so I'm going to show her the different types and such. Her terry flats from her previous bubs are getting a tad thin/stained. Her baby is so small I'm thinking a facewasher will be the way to go for the time beng with a NB cover. Any suggestions ladies? I didn't get into MCNs til Charlotte was 3 months old so I'm a tad lost on the prem/new born scenario.

WOCB: Sposie with a bonnibuns night nappy outer as a cover. She's ready for bed but refusing to sleep.

My bub was 2.9kg born and I used a variety of home made fitteds/AIO's although some of those were a little big on her (I've been looking at them getting rather sentimental the last few days, it's hard to believe she was that tiny), kissaluvs, and other nb sized nappies worked well. We used MCN's from day 2 when we came home from hospital as DH refused to wash them while I was in hospital, I tried normal terry flats but they were so huge on her, I've never used pre-folds so can't comment on those.

crazy lady - sorry i cant help you out too much there. DS was 2.7kg when he was born and he was premmie too. we couldnt afford to buy more cloth nappies and the ones we had wouldnt fit him until he was over 4kg so we just used sposies until he was around 7weeks and could fit into them. what about the bummi's prefold system with some newborn covers or you can get some premmie covers too now? baby beehinds do nb covers from 2.5kg so what about them?

afm, i am just waiting to hear back from the bbh consultant so i can place an order for more fluffy mail! yay going to order the petites (but in large this time) and get a mulit fit too. DH said it was fine to get more now that DS is almost out of his others. still using the peapod smalls on him which the rise is a little low now but still fit a bit. i cant wait to get more fluffy mail!

WOHB - pea pod at the moment. nap time!
